Correct me if I’m wrong, but chromecast doesn’t support gapless playback? That for me is a dealbreaker with all the electronic music I listen to as constant mixes.
As you get older you can likely afford higher resolution audio gear which is more analytical and expensive, just when your hearing degradation is kicking in. Maybe instead of speakers n DACs in the future we will argue about audio nootropics. Seeing people's sound profile (nuraphone) even if it's not perfect shows we have no clue how others hear truly.
Great interview. But I disagree with both of you on one point: For me Tidal > Qobuz. All philosophical objections about MQA aside, I spent half a year A/B testing both services (and Amazon Music) and Tidal/Qobuz sound identical, with a slight edge on the MQA version of some songs which just have a certain sparkle. Aside from this, Tidal’s UI and recommendation algorithms are light years ahead. You said you’d love a service with Qobuz sound and Spotify UI. It exists: it’s called Tidal. One other thing: Bluesound’s most recent device is just called the Bluesound Node. The Node 2i is the old model.
That's the beauty of audio, everyone hears the music differently. The magic of subjective listening makes us all correct in a sense. Thank you for taking the time to watch the video and I would love to talk more about this. I have a forum now on my website for people to start conversations and discuss things in a constructive manner.
Interesting for sure. Overall I prefer the sound from Quboz. Certain tracks on Tidal (mostly MQA) are better. I've had both of you them at the same time for many months and would be happy with either..but ultimately like the SQ of Quboz.
Why was the ifi zen stream left out on the comparisons. It was just mentioned but not compared . Curious? Trying to decide which one to get.
Fantastic and interesting video my friend
Thank you 😊
So Streaming is for discovering music and CDs are for enjoying it.I can clearly see it now.
You got it 👍
