Not sure what you are asking. I use the default settings with this camera as I am totally a satisfied with the quality it produces. Still photography is my field and and I only use it to shoot demo videos for UA-cam. Reply ·
Jose Rodriguez Does R700 has the manual focus? please make a video with r700 ,where you are focused in the camera, and the background is blur. You know what i mean? and of course subscribed :)

I am not near my camera so I can not tell you what the Zoom magnification is. You should be able to easily locate that information on line. It has optical zoom and also digital zoom which is not the same as actual optical zoom.
Daniel Morton if you set it to optical zoom, 32 times. optical does not reduce the image quality. if you set it to advanced zoom, 57 times. this is a mix of digital and optical zoom. if you set it to digital zoom (if you zoom in too far you have terrible quality), 1140 times. yes, one thousand one hundred forty. but don't zoom in that far, the quality is terrible.
anyone know if it would be good for filming live bands in bars? what is the video like in dark places and would the sound be distorded because it's very loud
All these cameras do not perform well in low light. You get a lot of digital noise. If you attach a good mike maybe but with the built in again not so good the ambient sound will red line 100% But as you can see it performs amazingly for this type of shots!
There should be a Portrait Setting. I just let it shoot in auto so far. If you are far and zoom in fr a bead shot then you would achieve that even in auto. You would have less depth of field.
I know this is a late reply, but I think the R72 has a small amount of built in memory plus an SD card slot. The R700 is a bit cheaper but records only to an SD card.
Main Functions. Video Snapshot and set to op and manually press the shoot icon on the screen. A pain in the ass but that is the way. I would not bother and instead use a real Digital Still Camera,
a problem I'm having is when I film in 1080p/60 frames with this camera, it's nice and clear, but if I try to upload to UA-cam, it's pixely and blurry. can you tell me a setting to use on UA-cam or something? Thank you!
I export in ADOBE Premiere to H264 and keep all original parameters. It turns out as good as the original. If you are directly uploading to UA-cam I can't help you as I have not a clue what they do to process video.

I just got that for Christmas yesterday!!! it performs exceptionally well for a camcorder of its price!!!
At first I was not so impressed but once I began to get the hang of the touch screen and various settings, I now love it!

Appears to be very good.
I'm satisfied with it. Only cost $295 instead of my previous Vixia that was not as good, had less features and cost over $700 back then.

Like all camcorders It has a ZOOM Lens. Wide Angle to Medium to Telephoto.

I don't know the 1200D. But so far the R700 fits my needs which are very basic.

I do believe it does both have manual focus, exposure and audio/sound. Give me a few days.

Seems better than the earlier but much more expensive HF 20.

Not really. It's pretty quite at least mine seems to be.

Yes there will be digital grain. I have only used in the conditions you see in this video so I can not comment.

I have bought this camera and the footage is fuzzy and pixilated and its on the highest settings. How do i fix this?

Absolutely! No Phone I know can out perform a "Real" dedicated video Camera!
