In this new fighting collection, ten games ranging from Street Fighter II all the way to versions of Vampire Savior (Darkstalkers 3) never before released outside of Japan come together with modern trappings such as rollback netcode and tons of museum art. Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix (Pocket Fighter in Japan), and Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo are included as well as obscurities like Red Earth (Warzard in Japan) and Cyberbots: Fullmetal Madness. Capcom included full soundtracks, and even an in-game achievement system to augment the collection, known as Fighting Challenges.

Marvel Vs Capcom collection next
Facts!!! For Sure Buy for me if they do but Disney may act funny regarding character rights etc!!! Smh
That needs to happen
That would probably be difficult now that Capcom has to deal with Disney to release the older games.
Omg yes
PLEASE!!!! With all the X-men games and marvel games
This collection is worth it for all five Darkstalkers games on one collection for the first time ever and the first ever home console version of Red Earth.
I’ve preordered two copies on diff systems to show support for darkstalkers also happy to get pocket fighters! And it even has rollback net code !! Oh and puzzle fighter on my modern console yes please
Capcom has recently said they are not supporting Darkstalkers, js.
Yes!!!
What about the darkstalkers collection on ps3??
@@mmsthfanatic6296 im mixing up my game’s you are correct it was resurrection on PS3 that was the franchise test if it sold beyond expectations they would have brought it back it didn’t they didn’t
We need a Marvel vs Capcom collection that goes from X-Men Children of The Atom to Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3.
If Disney would allow it, that is.
Ultimate MvC3 is already on modern platforms. And Vanilla MvC3 would be redundant. So, COTA-MvC2 would be preferred.
@@o.h.x-9073 it’s possible both companies seem to have a solid relationship because of Arcade1up
I'm in for that
- X-Men Children of the Atom
- Marvel Super Heroes
- X-Men vs Street Fighter
- Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter
- Marvel vs Capcom
- Marvel vs Capcom 2
And also Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 on Switch, all these games with Rollback netcode.
Red Earth is what I’m most excited for, that concept just seems really fun
Red Earth is fun and very challenging at times.
it's fun overall for playthrough story
The game is hard as hell tbh
@@-zawarudo-2684 The final boss was really hard, but I’ve been able to beat it with Leo and Kenji so far
Youre so full of crap lol who wants to compete between 4 choices of playability. Seriously.
Snk really needs to do this like can you imagine a kof collection on all systems that would be 🔥
Could not agree more!
Well technically there is but not in one collection. You can buy each kof on every system separately.
@@joshuakeely5593 easier said than done my man.
just emulate lol
@@noname1210hh That isn’t giving you the net code or other extra features an official collection bring
They need to go in and REDO the Street Fighter 30th anniversary! With this much love and affection!!
The menus are the same in 30th anniversary smh
@@groxx715 No they aren't. 30th anniversary collection was made by a different dev.
📠
@@groxx715 Lol no they aren't
That's some interesting info yall, but try backing it up with a *SoURCe!*
Getting this purely for the Darkstalkers franchise. Lord Raptor for life!!
Vampire Savior is the greatest fighting game ever made. It still looks amazing 24 years later and has an incredibly well balanced fighting system that is easy to get into but deeply rewarding.
No doubt
Is VS the darkstalkers game to get into? It always feels like there are like 5 of them but somehow only 2.
The motions are very smooth as like sf3 3rd that was released 10 years later!
Na you over selling it,darkstalkers isn't even better then any of the street fighter 2 illustrations
It's the best!
Some of my all time favorite Saturn imports right here. Pocket Fighter, Puzzle Fighter, Darkstalkers, Cyberbots…. It’s like going back in time for an all night gaming session
Agreed
This collection is awesome all it really needs is rival schools & power stone 1/2
facts
They will definitely come if this sells well
Im ready for it
Power Stone 2 is my favorite game of all time, dont give me hope 😭
@@123451234alex never surrender your hope, crazier things have happened, my fren.
To me, Puzzle Fighter is the seller for this collection. I've been a fan for this game for decades and having a possibility to play it on a ps5 and online is just great for me
Dude, you're one of mine. Pocket fighter is the reason I'm buying this game.
Pocket Fighter is amazing! And it doubles as a Street Fighter vs. Darkstalkers game
Super Puzzle Fighter is NOT the seller for this collection. It actually baffles me why this (non fighting) game was included in something titled "Capcom FIGHTING collection" over say, the updated versions of the Street Fighter Alpha games. The REAL seller for this release are the Darkstalkers games. Hopefully, Capcom will release a definitive collection of the Street Fighter Alpha games, with all versions of the Alpha 2 and 3 entries released over the decades. It's about time we get the versions of these games we want for current gaming platforms.
This will be great to have on the go. Crystal Crisis was great but it can't beat the original.
💯!!!!
"Street Fighter 3 is cospicuously absent"
its in another capcom collection already
Capcom should try making more games like red earth. Cuphead has proven boss rush games can work.
Monster Hunter is essentially a boss rush mode.
Megaman was also that.
Cuphead's primary selling point was graphics. Generally, players don't usually like high difficulty games so attempting to make a new Warzard RedEarth would be a Flop unless they have an attractive artstyle under their sleeve.
Play alien soldier on the genesis. Ome of the most ott and intense boss rush games youll ever play.
@@cybershellrev7083 Fromsoft would like a word with you.
@@GmNdWtchr96 - Dark Fantasy has always been one of the most popular. The difficulty of Darksouls was just a marketing phenominon. Armored Core had similar mechanics to dark souls yet, not many appreciated it just because it looked like a dull robot game, so yeah, in general difficult games are a flop without an artistic Anchor atleast. Most players are impulsive and just want to slash and shoot everything.
From stating why this collection is such a glorious thing and notating the rollback netcode, too also noting the glaring omission of Third Strike and the fact that, it already being niche, missing cross-play will hurt the game's online playerbase, Ronny Barrier clearly grew up on fighting games.
This is an amazing review. Would love to see more of this specialized critiquing, IGN.
would love to see more modern version of the darkstalkers game.
Everyone who loves fighting games would love to see that, but Capcom doesn't want to give fighting gamers what they want.
@@shinbakihanma2749 Capcom would ruin it anyway, their best bet is to outsource a Darkstalkers game to Arcsystemworks.
@@aegisreflector1239 which would be a match made in heaven, Darkstalkers is basically an ArcSys game as it is
@@varenoftatooine2393 Yup, Darkstalkers was a HUGE influence on Arcsystemworks. Better yet would be a Capcom vs Arcsystemworks game (developed by Arcsystemworks)
We need a VS collection, which includes the Capcom Vs Snk games.
Marvel vs Capcom collection should come with: The Punisher, X-men: Children of the atom, Marvel Superheroes, X-men vs Street Fighter, Marvel Superheroes vs Street Fighter, Marvel vs Capcom: Clash of the Superheroes, Marvel vs Capcom 2 New age of heroes & Marvel Superheroes: War of the Gems!
AGREED !!! 👍
This comment has aged very well
I'm very glad to hear that this collection has great netcode! I'm definitely looking forward to adding this game to my PS4 fighting game collection soon!
Ps4🤥
7:30 Agreed should’ve included the Online Edition from 2011 which is the best home version of 3S.
Was it on 30th ann? Online version
3S was on Anniversary Collection but it wasn’t the Online Edition from 2011 which had a lot of content.
Still the best version 👍
Red Earth looks so cool.
It's amazing, easily one of my favourite fighting games.
They should make a modern day Dark Stalker's game. It's such an underrated game series that isn't talked about enough.
Would love it if there was an option to play vampire Savior with all characters across all versions
Oh like the PSP version of Darkstalkers you mean?
Make one with Tasunoko vs Capcom, and both Rival Schools, please.
Yes
Those would be cool but would be a logistical licensing nightmare
seriously they should update the street fighter collection to match this
Even better, they should completely redo the 30th Anniversary Collection to match this new release, and give it to those who purchased the original subpar version for free. Afterwards, everyone involved in releasing the original 30th Anniversary Collection, should kill themselves in ritual suicide as penance for their sin of releasing that crap compilation. It's only fair.😊
What's so different about it besides netcode?
This was an absolute solid review. I'm sold
Capcom should also release a new version of street fighter anniversary collection adding Rollback netcode.
And cross play.
And Japanese versions.
ppl asking for this wont even be active online when it does drop, because if they really wanted to play these games online they woudlve already been on fightcade
@@noname1210hh or they just don’t have pcs?
Next is Capcom 3D fighting collection! Bring me rival schools!
OMG, my childhood is literally flashing before my eyes...!!!
すごいね
@@Grux_ASG c'est vraiment merveilleux en effet

Wow I’m impressed with this collection even the little things
worth it for puzzle fighter alone, the rest is all straight up bonus
This Collection Is Worth Having Just For Red Earth 🤘
Red earth not worth it only 4 characters are playable lmao
all 3 versions of sf3 are on the sf30anni collection. the whole point of this is to be a celebration of capcom's other fighters, street fighter had its collection already. this would be like complaining that the castlevania advanced collection doesn't have bloodlines on it
I'm not sure. Considering how popular SF3 is now, it may have helped sell the game more, and get more people to try other games after trying SF3. But who knows, maybe people would ONLY play Third Strike instead then. Lol
Loved the dive into the settings & options detailed
Could someone tell me the names of the low-fi songs used throughout the video. Shazam can't seem to pick them up
The Darkstalkers mascot has ALWAYS been Demitri, NOT Morrigan!
Question- is it arcade level of difficulty only? The SF collection on switch is borderline impossible for casual players
at least in SF2, if you choose the Japanese versions the game is easier
I'm most excited to play Red Earth! It's so cool that it is FINNALLY getting a port!
I'm buying this for Red Earth alone.
Anyone know if they fixed the AI for the Street Fighter Anniversary collection or if it is still ultra hard at every setting?
This is just a great review
One question - how does the graphics of these darkstalkers games compare to the Resurrection version on Xbox?
How do you redeem the codes the game brings in those cards in the box (switch version)?
I’m loving this. I’m eagerly waiting for a metal slug collection release from SNK.
It’s already available on the Playstation Store
Capcom releases a compilation of Darkstalkers and classic oddities. "Where's SF3?!" - IGN
the rom sizes are tiny and they all run off of the same emulator. on a modern game disc capcom could of easily included virtually every fighting game they made on arcade systems with rollback netcode.... like fightcade already has
The true "glaring omission" is an entry from the Slam Masters series, not SF3
Check out Capcom Arcade stadium 2. It has Slammasters in that collection
the true omission is power stone
@@CmacNYC slam masters 2 is what would match the his generation of fighters
@@kraken5003 power strone doesn't match the generation but it's a a great game.
@@SonnyBCreative what generation?
it fits about as well as puzzle fighter
Does this have save states or do you have to play through the games in one sitting to beat them? Also does it have rewind
Marvel vs Capcom collection needs to be next. Stops at MvC 2 if anything. The recnt 1-Up arcade cabinets means that it can be done. Also that Capcom arcade stick preloaded with the Aliens vs Predator beat em up is also proof of Disney still playing nice with Capcom. Plus the Disney in the Afternoon collection from a few years back.
Is the Hyper SF2 got the Turbo HS remix graphcis from Udon??
Capcom was at peak 2d design, art and animation in this collection.
Seriously worth it I’ve preordered 2 copies on diff systems worth it for darkstalkers alone let alone poker fighters and the rest as a bonus plus rollback net code ? It’s a no brainer
Got that switch version huh?
@@Blballerboy grabbed switch and PS4/5
OMG, who the hell cares if Street Fighter 3 isn’t in this collection! You can play that on the Street Fighter Anniversary Collection!
Yeah that comment from the ign reviewer was kinda bizarre. That game is already on the SF 30 collection
Yeah some people at IGN have their heads up their a$$
I'd absolutely love a version of sf3 where you can use the stages from 2nd impact and new generation
Is there an option for integer scaling ?
Does the game track STATS wins/losses for anything, solo or online?
My guy. SF3 is in the SF collection along with SF alpha. By your logic this collection should have SF alpha as well.
It feels like all those classic Street Fighter games get released every year in a new package/bundle.
Milk that cow
No they don't lmao
In Walmart right now thinking about getting it 🤔
Thanks bro 🔥 💯
I've been waiting years for puzzle fighter. one of my personal favorites!!
u coudlve been playing it online for almost the last 15 years on ggpo then fightcade lol
The achievement are a great addition
Darkstalker and its an instant buy
That pink robot and octopus robot have great animation
How to enter on a 2 player offline mode?
Is this available for the steam deck does anybody know.
The voice at @0:59 is the guy that does the voice for Honest Game Trailers, right?
With this and SF6, Capcom has been on a roll lately!
Why can capcom put avp on the fighting stick but no collection?
@nemo pouncey if that was true they wouldnt have been able to put it on the stick
Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix is the Original name in Japan. When it came to America it was called Pocket Fighter
Would LOVE to see Powerstone 1 & 2 added as DLC at some point.
Power Stone is a classic for me.
Is power stone in this??
Love Pocket Fighter!
Is that Epic Voice Guy from Honest Trailers doing the title screen narration???
So when are they gonna rerelease power stone 1 & 2? Sure you can emulate them but playing online with others would be a blast.
Wish Capcom would do an updated Pocket Fighter with updated characters.
Played this today on PC, got 3x more matches on usf4 on steam.
Great review! Nice you have actually been to an arcade.
Why is Street Fighter 3 a glaring omission when it's part of a previous fighting game collection? Who wants to buy multiple collections that all have the same games?
They could just use fight cade?
@@blackmanta2527 Damn right they should but people can be weird about that stuff
@@Inriri but then people would see how dead vsav really is and how most people that talk about it never play it
PSA: The reason they didn't include Third Strike was to get sales on the Street Fighter Anniversary collection via the Capcom Fighting Bundle they put up on the stores digitally today. It's a bundle of Fighting Collection and SF Anniversary for only $60 which really isn't bad at all! If you want Third Strike and haven't picked up SF Anniversary, you should get this bundle!
I’m excited for RED EARTH!
Was expecting a mad comeback in the last match
Yall do know that there is already a collection with sf3 right?
Capcom can work towards Marvel vs Capcom by releasing the Xmen fighting games collection.
In the art of fighting game when you be the boss you can upgrade your fighting skills so it’s not necessarily unique to red planet
Does anyone know if the difficulty actually works on super turbo?
Super turbo isn’t in this collection.
@@RevengerPhoenix really? The reviewer said it is.
0:58 Is the "CAPCOM FIGHTING COLLECTION" voice the Honest Trailers guy? lol
Can't wait to play Red Earth.
Never played the Darkstalker franchise or Red Earth so this is cool.
Was that the Honest Trailer voiceover guy in that start menu??
*7:34** So SF3rd Strike Included?*
I'm getting this game can't wait love darkstalkers
If this game sales well....we meet see more of these games in the future.
Sadly, Capcom stated no...
@@yogafire646 sigh....
We might get more collections if this sells well.
This is it, right here. Double dip on series x and switch.
How’s the difficulty? Street fighter collection is hard even on easy mode
We need a mortal kombat kollection now!!!
The guy who says "Capcom Fighting Collection" at 0:57 sounds like the Honest Trailers voice. It's him, isn't it?
Super gem fighter was an underrated masterpiece
Gonna get this on my switch soon
It is still missing the arranged music.
Bring on that incredible Bengus artwork!
To try and get these games individually and on imported consoles can run the bill up so this collection is worth the money.
3 is already in the 30th anniversary with rollback tho?
it doesn't have rollback, 30th uses delay
