@@kenterminateddq5311 Capcom Fighting Collection has a few more games (including a couple of rarities like Red Earth), and rollback netcode for online play. So serious retro fighting game fans will find a lot more substance there. If you're just a regular retro guy and only want to mess around playing a couple of arcade mode fights in Vampire Savior/Darkstalkers, then this Stadium 2nd collection is all you need.

I had it for pc. I remember my mam giving me it say now it’s not a fighting game it’s just a puzzle game so don’t get too excited! So I was initially disappointed because it wasn’t street fighter 2 turbo or whatever but then I played it and fell in love with it 😂
It would be so cool if Capcom could have arcade stadium as a front-end and you could import Stadium 1 and 2, SF Anniversary Collection, and the Beat Em Up Collection. Have all the actual cabs in there. It stinks to jump between collections to get to other games.
What's interesting is that, most of the games I want to play I have in their other collections. There are a few games here that i will probably pick up a-la-carte: to your point, Capcom creating something similar to a playstation game room, where I can have all of these and hang out would be pretty cool.
A lot of these were included on the Capcom Classics Collection series that was released on PS2. The two games had a LOT of bonus features (game art, invincibility on certain games, interviews with certain staff members).
I've really wanted a Marvel Fighter collection for the longest time. Especially for X-Men COTA. The graphics were mind blowing at the time and it never got a arcade perfect port.
Slammasters is perfection. The wrestlers have a nice variety of moves and tag team mode is still great fun especially with a friend. One of my personal favorites.
With Capcom's NES and SNES Disney games having seen re-release compilations, I wonder how long it will be before we see a Capcom Marvel game compilation. It might be more difficult licensing-wise to pull off, but I know a lot of folks would love to see one.
I'm still upset they pulled Marvel vs Capcom Origins 2-in-1 from Xbox Live Arcade; I didn't know they were gonna pull it & missed my chance to buy it! At least I got Marvel vs Capcom 2.
I share your fondness for Black Tiger. When they announced it for the PS2, I actually reserved it. I was the only one. They really should remake it! Enjoyable video.
Black Tiger alone sold me on this. I remember playing it at a skating rink I used to go to as a kid. Haven’t played it since (or seen it anyplace else), but it always stuck in my mind.

Magic Sword! Love that game. Remember being a kid in the arcades in the Summer of 1990. The music! I found out much later: it's the same composer as Mega Man 1.
I picked up the capcom fighting collection today and loving it the psychical version came with that 3 w code so that was a nice bonus. All of the capcom collections are awesome!. I was able to play games I never played before and also some of the games I have on emulation don't play very good. Great video sir!
I can see why you like SF Alpha 1 the best; the controls and chain combos were more liberal and similar to Darkstalkers but a bit watered down. Every Alpha after was more traditional.
There's a bunch I'd love to see if they ever make a "3rd Stadium". Star Gladiator, Plasma Sword, Tech Romancer, Rival Schools/Project Justice, and some of their awesome licensed games - Willow, Punisher, Marvel VS Capcom, Alien VS Predator etc.

Liscencing issues make it very unlikely to get several of the arcade classics, but I still hope one day we’ll get Cadillacs and dinosaurs, aliens vs predator and the Punisher. All great brawlers. As many have said, Willow would be great as well. We can dream, can’t we?
Who knew that 20 years later, Capcom would still be releasing the exact same game compilations as the Capcom Classics Collection Vol. 1 & 2 for PS2/XBOX, and people still act like Capcom is doing us a huge favor, we've been sold these same games in the same package with no frills for so long now. At least the Vol. 2 disc has a really cool version of that Capcom Quiz arcade game with a ton of new Capcom trivia. Only quiz game I ever loved. People might say well there's all the cool fighting games, but almost all of those are available on a different modern compilation.
One of my best memories as a kid was playing Black Tiger in my Arcade it was always the Goal to beat it on one quarter !! Awesome game its a S tier for me. Looking forward to this collection when its available tomorrow to play !!!!
I hope we get a Capcom Arcade 3rd Stadium. I looked up every Capcom Arcade game that wasn’t licensed, and I found the remaining 32 Capcom games that aren’t on any compilation. Maybe that one will have some 3D games like PowerStone or Plasma Sword. Also, all of these games were released in the USA but had to use the Japanese rom due to licensing issues. Gan Sumoko (Gun.Smoke) Hissatsu Buraiken (Avengers) Powdered Gear (Armored Warriors) Senjo no Okami 2 (Mercs) Tatakai no Banka (Trojan) Some of those games are on the first collection

Hissatsu Buraiken actually did come out in U.S. arcades under the name "Avengers" in 1987. I played it at many an arcade when I was a young teen and I loved it as much as Gunsmoke.

Red Earth is on the Capcom Fighting Collection that came out in June. I noticed that Capcom Arcade Stadium 2 has most (but not all) of the same fighting games as their Fighting Collection, like the Darkstalkers games, Hyper Street Fighter 2, Puzzle Fighter 2, etc.
I second the Willow arcade game. Maybe Capcom can work out a deal to release it on it's own when the new series launches. Other companies have done that with older games when a TV or movie franchise gets a new entry.
It's worth noting that they were able to "cheat" Gun.Smoke onto this collection by releasing the Japanese version, seemingly in a way to avoid any potential copyright issues. Perhaps they could do so with Willow if the Japanese version isn't licensed.

Also Alpha 2 for me, that’s an S. Favorite SF game by far. Just right amount of characters, just right engine. Alpha 3 is good too but may have gotten a little too cluttered in design.
SFA3 is where 2D fighters peaked for me. Everything after (whether Capcom made it or not) started to become too cluttered with over the top characters, flashy combos/movesets and complex mechanics. The one exception is Capcom VS. SNK 2, which I loved.
One of the best beat em ups in my own personal opinion and one game that finally needs to make a Home console appearance is Alein Vs. Predator for sure. I loved that game and totally wish they'd give it to us!!!
@JohnRiggs were you lucky enough to get a physical version of the game? I ordered a physical version but got an email from play Asia saying it was canceled because the vendor they get it from didn't have enough stock. I'm wondering if there are physical versions out there somewhere in the wild.
a ton of these games are great but absolutely the star for me has to be Black Tiger! I remember sinking many quarters into it in a convenience store when I was a kid! In recent years the cameo appearance in Ready Player One (book version) made me want to try for the single credit clear and I actually got it many years ago! (funny enough in the PS2 collection which was the first time I'd seen it in any capcom collection up to that point!) but super stoked to see it here. that book also hooked my wife on the game and she got her first taste of it on the PS3 collection when IT was the freebie. so many of the others I loved and could gush about all freaking day, but seeing the likes of Pnickies and the Megaman arcade games (all of which I discovered through Callus, if any emulation fans remember back that far) so cool to see these all again!
I've been waiting for the port of Magic Sword for 20 years. I have the SNES version, but nothing beats the original. Plus, we get Saturday Night Slammasters!? I hope there's a physical copy of these on the horizon.
Need a Konomi collection with Sunset Riders. The arcade I went to as a kid had the 4 player cabinet and had the sound all the way up. It was my favorite and always will be.
It is the same game. Just no online play. All of the fighters in this collection have no online. That is the difference between the capcom fighting collection, beatemup bundle and SF 30th anniversary collection. Those have online play.
Puzzle Fighter is an S-tier game for me, probably my favorite puzzle game and top 10 all time for me, but I just got it in the Capcom Fighting Collection, so I don't also need it here.

In SF1 you actually have to press the button BEFORE doing the directions. You'll pull off the special moves a lot easier.
Willow is a great game. I don't think they ever did a home version of AVP. That would be dope.

I remember being able to beat Side Arms and Black Tiger with one quarter each when I was 6 or 7 years old. There's no way I can do that now.

Street Fighter I is rough. Nostalgia cannot make it an F for me. It was a game changer for me, the first time I saw that fire ball changed EVERYTHING.

SFA3 is where 2D fighters peaked for me.
Everything after (whether Capcom made it or not) started to become too cluttered with over the top characters, flashy combos/movesets and complex mechanics.
The one exception is Capcom VS. SNK 2, which I loved.

I have never seen Gun.Smoke in the arcade, but you CAN shoot forward on the NES version. Just press A&B together.
One of the best beat em ups in my own personal opinion and one game that finally needs to make a Home console appearance is Alein Vs. Predator for sure. I loved that game and totally wish they'd give it to us!!!
The Speed Rumbler is the game I couldn't remember the name of that I played at a roller rink in New Paltz, NY back in 88

@JohnRiggs were you lucky enough to get a physical version of the game? I ordered a physical version but got an email from play Asia saying it was canceled because the vendor they get it from didn't have enough stock. I'm wondering if there are physical versions out there somewhere in the wild.

a ton of these games are great but absolutely the star for me has to be Black Tiger! I remember sinking many quarters into it in a convenience store when I was a kid! In recent years the cameo appearance in Ready Player One (book version) made me want to try for the single credit clear and I actually got it many years ago! (funny enough in the PS2 collection which was the first time I'd seen it in any capcom collection up to that point!) but super stoked to see it here. that book also hooked my wife on the game and she got her first taste of it on the PS3 collection when IT was the freebie.
so many of the others I loved and could gush about all freaking day, but seeing the likes of Pnickies and the Megaman arcade games (all of which I discovered through Callus, if any emulation fans remember back that far) so cool to see these all again!
they gotta put cadillac and dinosaurs, and alien vs predator. those are absolute gems in the classic arcade back then.
I think we all can agree that Street Fighter is a game that is so bad that it shouldn’t of had a sequel
But, we are very glad it did❤
They left out the Capcom vs Marvel games, those would be a perfect fighting collection. Great nostalgic memories

I've been waiting for the port of Magic Sword for 20 years. I have the SNES version, but nothing beats the original. Plus, we get Saturday Night Slammasters!? I hope there's a physical copy of these on the horizon.
Need a Konomi collection with Sunset Riders. The arcade I went to as a kid had the 4 player cabinet and had the sound all the way up. It was my favorite and always will be.

Is the alpha 3 arcade version or home? As I do own the arcade in street fighter anniversary edition.
It is the same game. Just no online play. All of the fighters in this collection have no online. That is the difference between the capcom fighting collection, beatemup bundle and SF 30th anniversary collection. Those have online play.
There was a Willow game for the NES. I don't remember who it is by, but I remember playing and just not caring for the game play.
Puzzle Fighter is an S-tier game for me, probably my favorite puzzle game and top 10 all time for me, but I just got it in the Capcom Fighting Collection, so I don't also need it here.
