If I start taking melatonin it always kicks in the next day after I take it, not that night when I want it to work and then I’m groggy and drowsy all day after taking it early the night before, so I just avoid melatonin altogether

I would be wary of this, in my honest opinion this is a drug rather than a supplement but ok, there's a reason why you cant get it over the counter and even doctors wont prescribe it, you will have to see a specialist.
This gave me 'terrible' nightmares at just a 5mg dose and made me extremely groggy, 1mg at slow release was tolerable but from experience with a lot of sleep tablets etc, you are just masking an ever growing problem and more than likely going to make it worse, ie i feel like ive been hit by something each morning when i wake up due to my condition, even CBD oil makes me feel a little worse the next day, get to the root cause is my advise.
I dont even agree with medications anymore, im glad if it works for you though, good luck ✌

Hi there, I thought that it was not possible to get melatonin over the counter in the UK and only by prescription?

When I traveled a lot for work internationally, I used it to beat jet lag very effectively. No side-effects but it usually only took a couple of nights of taking it (natural version) to help me sleep right through in the new time zone.

I take melatonin when I start getting in a pattern of not being able to sleep. It works for me with no side effects and isn't addictive. Thanks for the video.
