My 19 month old loves detailed, complex pictures and photos. He couldn't care less about blobby baby books! I home ed and this podcast was really useful from an overall strategy pov. I hope my kids can join Synthesis some day :)
So fantastic! To the point at 19:30 about 'internet friends' versus 'IRL friends' and parents accepting this new paradigm... How should parents approach this topic with their own children / ALL CHILDREN, with a goal of encouraging interaction and innovation while maintaining safety and guiding exposures? I'm interested in both universal and concrete concepts, like "look both ways before crossing the street" and "don't take candy from strangers" and "brush your teeth," on how the COMMUNITY OF PARENTS can / should collaborate on understanding and implementing best practices to instill good cybersecurity hygiene in our kiddos. THIS is the future... And with or without those IRL hoverboards I've been waiting on since Marty McFly in BTTF2, it is freakin' amazing.
This is true, that in the future young people will start real activities much earlier. But it will be a come back to the past: this is the age of the known scientist when they already were doing their famous discoveries: Isaac Newton 24 y.o. (research on light) Charles Darwin 22 y.o. (beginning of his famous journey) Albert Einstein 26 y.o. ("Annus Miarbilis": photoelectric effect, Brown movements, Special Theory of Relativity, E=mc2) Nowadays young people in this age are still unmature kids ...

Can’t wait to become a facilitator! I know this will be fun!
Hey Luis! Have you had an interview? How did you get on?

Congratulations, that's a great work, I'm going to get my kids into it.
Go for it! Shannon has experience there if you have questions
How can my son join?
