No matter what Eleanor Roosevelt is still the best, always there to shoulder the burden of her husband, well informed, classy, bring and being her own woman, very independent, interested, passionate, always listen and never caused any controversy. Not just greatest First Lady but one of the greatest women to ever graced the the history the world. ❤️🙏🏼 So guilty I share the same birthday as her October 11 but she’s such an extraordinary woman and me still complished nothing. 😔

Watching CNN first ladies. I get goosebumps seeing the crowd for President Obama, and the way he announced the first lady to the crowd. He only saw Michelle. He never spoke about how large the crowds are. He never said the people love me. He became President and he gave his wife the moment.
Why, though? How come she gets an un vetted free ride in? We don't even completely trust the candidates. Why would you blindly trust in the first lady?

Yes, I've watched Mrs. Nixon's funeral, and President Nixon was definitely in pure anguish. It seems as if it would be hard for even his harshest of critics to not feel sympathy for him. Nixon only lasted one more year before he passed away.

Of all the First Ladies in history of the United States of America I like Jackie Kennedy. She have more class than any one in the history and I never heard her saying bad things towards her husband opponents. The rest are not so impressive when it comes to their integrity.

I believe this documentary was filmed before Kellyanne was a Trump toady. But she ruins this for me too. For me, it isn’t her Republicanism that is a problem - it is her unrepentant lying for Trump specifically while taking a salary paid by taxpayers.

While visiting locked up and seperated immigrant children, and have genuinely funny moments where she literally slaps away Donald's hand or frowns after giving a brief smile for him.
To her credit, her fashion sense is great. But she is literally an Ice Queen. Beauty on face, vain in the heart. She has yet to show me a moment of genuine compassion for others.

I think they didn't include Eleanor Roosevelt because 1. She did so much there wouldn't be enough time to cover many others and 2. There are a ton of documentaries about her.

I went to see this show couple years ago and oh my God it’s so beautiful their way of dancing is beyond you could imagine “ Magnificent.” So graceful and well balance in the way they moved and express their body. Pat Nixon annually ranks toward the bottom of the list of influential First Ladies. She had no specific cause she fought for and was mostly seen as an adjunct of her husband. Her party affiliation had nothing to do with my choice.

He was governor when i was in school at Cal Berkeley. There were zero demonstrations ever except a couple of times students, not many, walked in a circle carrying signs. One day, walking to class with my dog and a friend, a national guardsman shot my friend walking next to me., Rock salt cuts into the skin and my friend was covered in blood. We hadnt seen the guy coming and he saw us simply walking not even talking or holding hands. My poor dog ran away. They friend bled and the guy who shot him left the area saying not a word to him. Later regan had gas put in the streetlamps on Telegraph Ave, the one main street in the little town. Just in case someone tried something....guessing. Later we got angry and someone threw something at the window in B of America as they werent student friendly. From that time on I was not a regan fan much less his poor skinny wife who did about zip nothing for the country when they were in Washington
