The most common thing to set off an emf meter is phones. And they are really close together.
What you are seeing on the phone is it's magnet sensor. Anything that has electricity flowing in a wire produces some tiny level of magnetism, which is made stronger by looping the wire. The induction coils in a power supply, for instance.
The phone does have an EMF sensor, as that's how it receives data and voice, but those are locked down to very specific cellular signals. The EMF detector is just a really poorly made AM radio that doesn't filter out extraneous signals like more wireless devices do. If you get into Arduino, it's super easy to make your own.
I know, the video only shows the difference between a tool made by me and an app, which is declared for EMF waves.. An EMF detector based on Arduino is an idea that I have for a while, but I have to study the programming well..

Actually some android devices have an actual magneto sensor. Nothing to do with comunications it has a 3 axis sensor and using a formula can merge the plus and negative readings from each axis to provide a absolute reading. The sensor is typically used for GPS and navigational reasons so won't pick up high frequency EMF INDUCTANCE but will react to some AC DC inductance from transformers and some electronics. But can acurately measure actual magnetic flux in 3D space.

wow! can you tell me a little bit more please. Almost 2 years for now I'm struggling with finding proper answers. If non magnetic random old piece of metal in the ground has over 1000mT? Thos numbers are huge around old buildings from over 100 years ago

The phone is capable of detecting emf because it uses rf to communicate with the cell tower, but these apps do not detect emf they only detect magnetic fields.
Even some of the so called stand alone emf readers aren't actually reading an electro magnetic field they are just detecting metal

My Note 8 set in airplane mode works great near junction boxes and live wiring with these EMF apps. It helped me locate a neutral with a screw through it contacting the ground wire.

I got a very high reading near an unplugged guitar amp. Is this to be expected even when unplugged and not recently used? My guess is yes, but I just wanted to double check :)
Hi, nothing should be detected from electrical objects that are turned off, but in the presence of magnets the phone sensor may be deceived

I have one of these on my phone for couple of months now messed with it every other day it never worked few days ago it went off for a for couple of hours then that was it maybe something made it go off hasn't happened since things go missing in my house something's can't figure it out just me and my girl and a cat no kids and we don't drink or do drugs so who knows but it was cool

I think it also depends on the phone too how accurate the readings are.. Like if you use a cheap Android Phone vs Samsung S10plus the higher end phone is going to be more accurate.. Exact same detector module in both. The hardware is the exact same. However you need to know the location of the detector in your phone.
For instance, on a Galaxy s7 it's on the upper left region. As magnetic fields are not linear in strength; The proximity is very important.

I was thinking that when it was placed over both devices. If he had moved his phone laterally a little it would have made a difference. Even manufacturers change sensor locations. I compared my wifes S6 to my S8+ and it slightly different laterally.

i cooked sumit in my microwave then cheecked about 15-20Mins later. opened My microwave and i got a brees of 70Uf and it spead into the room cuz i moved back and my room went up to 55 i shat my self

I don't know, apps generally use a magnetic sensor on smartphones. But I've never tried in front of a ghost!

The sensor in smartphones is located in the upper part of the device , it is what normally is used in your navigating system for knowing what way is north and what way is south on the map.

Hi, it does not detect radio frequencies but electromagnetic waves (EMF) produced by electrical and electronic devices. This circuit is very simple and interesting and should not be considered a precision instrument.

Yes, as you can see in the video it works. Then the sensitivity of the app varies depending on the model of phone you have
@@Stefano91ste If anything it appeared the app was "under" reporting. Therefore you would expect the EMF to be stronger than indicated? I held my phone with the same app in close proximity to my WiFi Router and measured 1400uT. And 450uT where I'm sitting. Makes me think it's even higher than that.
You used the phone magnetometer wrong buddy. This app among two other ones work great in my Samsung galaxy J7 star
