This summary is really great. A wonderful small "village" in the central of nowadays germany. The structure work is really absolutly breathtaking in my opinion. Luckily the "villagage survived WW2 and the period of DDR and BRD till nowadays. Thank you very much for this great roundup. Greetings from Bavaria
The way you wrote it is definitely how you would pronounce it in English. I am curious about the correct German pronunciation. I'm not so sure about the W sound. I think it is more like the english word, "Quay." Which is pronounced like the word, "key" Kee. In the case of the word, "quay" the "u" doesn't make a "w" sound. Thanks so much for leaving a comment and contributing to this discussion!
"Kedlinburg"? Surely that's not the pronunciation! "Qu" is normally "Kf" in German = pronunciation Kfedlinburg. I am totally thrown every time you say "Kedlinburg". Everything else about the video is brilliant.
We went back and forth on the pronunciation. We called it "kwed" until we heard a German speaker say, "ked." However, you might be right, and now that you point it out, I am doubting our pronunciation. I hope you enjoyed the video despite our pronunciation. Thanks for leaving a comment, and thanks for watching the video!
If you have visited Quedlinburg or plan to visit, tell us about it.
The Harz region has so much history to explore!
Quedlinburg really is a gem of a town. I highly recommend visiting!

To any German speakers out there. How do you pronounce, "Quedlinburg"? 🙂
Kvedlinburg.
The e in "Kve" is pronounced like the ay in "bay"
The u in "burg" is pronounced like the oo in "hood"
So, Kvaydlinboorg
I see, so my pronunciation wasn't too far off but it needed more of an "aye" sound. Thanks so much!
@@searchingforhistory You're welcome. Beautiful place - I was there in 2017.
