I think the first thing that indicates that this pilot is a pilot's pilot and has that high degree of passion is the impressive crease in that uniform shirt. Thanks for not adding "rotten" canned production music to this. EXCELLENT!
Hey Corey! Raised on a farm and had a passion for Aviation since I can remember! 😂Luckily I dont know how to edit, as raw as it gets, from hitting the Record button to stop. Glad you enjoyed the video!
I was raised for the first four years of my life on my Mom's chicken farm. I graduated from Seneca College Aviation and Flight Technology here in Toronto Canada in the mid seventies. At 68 years today infact my days are over in the right seat. Always fixed wing. Had a chance before the 430 was cancelled in 2008 to fly with one of the test pilots at Bell in Las Vegas, Nevada. Oh my God what a machine. The 430 is just my all time favorite. The design of this thing is just timeless. Your video simply is the best one out there that brings such class and elegance. Can you tell I enjoyed your video. Wishing you the very best in your career and safe flying.
Awesome..born with a cataract in my right eye in 1965..blind..and love aviation and helicopters..cant fly ..depth issues...this stuff is golden..no regrets..God said "play drums"..so i did..still fly r.c. helis..love life..could always be worse
Hey Jon! I tried RC heli’s. Had a Trex 500, crashed it more than I can count, my brain cant think in 1/2 reverse😂. Always stay positive and live everyday as its your last!!
Sweet. Spent 5 years as air crew on a police H-120B, flying every day. Best 5 years of “work” in my entire life! We frequently joked about how they actually PAID us to fly in that fabulous little helicopter.
Seeing this video before my first flight as a passenger it make me even more excited than I was and it's reminded me about Airwolf helicopter Bell 222 -230. It's one of a life time experience that i will tick off from my bucket list🥰 I am honoured to work in aviation industry🎩🍷
@@cdfly1 marvellous, it's a life time experience, I recommend, so smooth without any turbulence even though the noise of the engine is very high but experience make it worth.
For all that asked the headset Im using in the Video is a Bose A20 with Bluetooth. I would highly recommend this headset for both Helicoper and Fixed wing pilots. This one also have Bluetooth capabilities. Ive used this successfully from Cessna172`s, to King Air 350`s, Robinson R22 to the Sikorsky S92. Protect your hearing!
Hi PropRotor! As soon as I can figure out how to add that, I would definitely do it. Currently flying a HEMS helicopter in the Caribbean and have alot of footage that needs to be posted!
@@proprotornut5389 flying Corporate was a dream job, flew a King Air 350 and the Helicopter for the Boss man! Never ever flew to the same spot in a row always ended your day at a beautiful African lodge etc, now have a HEMS(Helicopter Emergency Medical Service) position on a set Airport to airport route, being on standby 24/7 for 2 weeks in a row gets to you. But the flying part is still awsum! Just miss the true VIP flying.
I'm a fan of the TV show Airwolf. From that show, I learned about lift, the collective (which is different in Bell helicopters), and auto-rotation as well as how to compensate for it. The old Bell 222 was sleek and aerodynamic. It looked like it easily glided through the sky. Thanks for this video. I've never been in a helicopter, but this was perfect. (I was wondering how long it would be before you lifted the landing gear). Lol
Hi Charles! I also loved watching Airworf! The 430 is its bigger sister, slightly longer fuselage, bigger engines, and a 4 bladed system. Also the avionics has been Upgraded on the 430. Ive flown the 222 aswell. Lovely machine! Hope you’ve seen something new on the video!
Thank you for sharing this awesome video. It is my dream to be a pilot of my dream helicopter Bell 430 basically a stretched Airwolf. I ever hit the lotto I want to not only go to flight school but to own my own Bell 430 Airwolf. I know the original Airwolf was a Bell 222 but I love the 430 limo of Airwolf lol again thank you for sharing this video and bringing my dream to life. Please make more Bell 430s videos!
Hi Dave! Im glad you enjoyed the video! Unfortunately my days of flying the 430 is over for now. Must say I enjoyed every hour that Ive spend in the 430! Lovely machine to fly. Keep on playing the Lotto!😬
Hi Malcolm! Yes thats the one. Saw it only after I uploaded the video. Should have listened to my Grade 4 spelling teacher 😂. Im glad you enjoyed the video!
Interesting- do air medical configurations have larger batteries so there is no delay between starting engine 1, then engine 2? In the EC135's, I've not seen them wait.
Good question! I have flown a Bell 430 recently in the Caribbean on a Medevac contract, and unfortunately you do need to wait for the battery to recharge before starting the other engine. What helps tremendously is a Ground unit. Then you start the engines from the battery “pack”. But if you are on a scene then you need to wait that little bit unfortunately. On the S92 that I fly now we have a APU (a small turbine engine in the helicopter) that we use to start the engines from. Im not familiar how the EC135’ operate.
@@cdfly1 I'll ask next time I'm there. They run Pratts in them fleet wide, all across the US. I've seen them go from cold/dark to lifting in about 2 minutes- while some avionics are still catching up and not fully booted- they get going VFR.
Hi. Having flown both the Trip2 and 430, I can assure you the 430 is much much smoother when the Track&Balance is done. On this particular flight the T&B was not perfect.
She looks like she has a bit of bounce to me. I don't know your airspeed so I can't determine if it is a tab out or if it is a pitch rod out. If I was your mech your tablet wouldn't be bouncing and neither would your head...hopefully the owner was good enough to keep all 4 blades within the same margin of flight hours. One weak blade can make for a rough ride. Nice video though!!!
Also, you fly with your right hand, if you sit on the left you have to take your hand of the cyclic every time you want to adjust something. Fixed wing aircraft are normally flown with the left hand.

Hi Mr West! Its indeed a wheeled Helicopter! For corporate operations you can taxi closer to the terminal etc and not blow up everything. Also its a few knots faster than the Skids hanging out in the airflow all the time in the cruise.
Hi Nokala. This was more the actual checks being done rather than the actual communication with Air traffic control. I will keep that in mind for the next videos

Fun to listen soundwise and watching , great well explained vvery good how a pilot acts when flying a helicopter👍👍
Thank you for the compliment Rudy!
The 430 Collective set up! Like flying an A320 with a Collective! who got the wired back too front!
Beautiful bird but I did expect a bit smoother from a 4 blade as well. Was surprised to see that much oscillation.

Hi this was at rand airport i have one question what colour whas this 430?
Great video, thanks.
awesome!!
Wondering about the vibration level, thought it would be much lower with 4 bladed rotor compared to the 220/230 with two-blade rotor.

Hi Comandante Augusto! Thank you, I appreciate your support! A preflight check video coming out soon!
What are all those buttons at the top what do they do
hit the turbo thruster
Why does the commander sit on the right seat in helicopters and on the left seat in fixed wing aircraft?
Hi Johannes. Because helicopters generally fly a right-hand circuit, so you are therefore turning towards the pilots / commanders side
Also, you fly with your right hand, if you sit on the left you have to take your hand of the cyclic every time you want to adjust something. Fixed wing aircraft are normally flown with the left hand.
He's good.
