Great Clip. I used to have my David Clarks Headsets tight to the ears, mic close to the mouth, and avionics master on and yell as loud as I could out the window "CLEAR PROP" and that would drive my instructor Marcum crazy. Funny habit to break on a new pilot. That brought back funny memories.
Love the no muss no fuss start ups lol. Would really get a kick out of knowing your thoughts as you prepare and execute landings in the same style. Such a great ship, thanks man
Thanks for watching Allan! Just posted a few other videos with a more detailed start up, as well as a landing into our heliport if you want to check those out. I'll get a more detailed landing video up in the coming weeks!
First time I've seen 430 start. Nice. When you started flying, I thought you might fly in south louisiana for oiil companies, but, I've never seen Bell 430's flying down here.
Thanks for watching! Not sure if there are any flying to rigs anymore, but I think a few law enforcement 430's may be down in that area. The water in my videos is flying over the Great Lakes. No off-shore rig experience, but maybe in the future!
@@adrionaviation - If you ever do think about the Gulf rig helo ops, get your dunk and roll upside down underwater egress chops up to speed in the pool tank, aka HUET! Nice videos too BTW. I've long had the helo bug as a fixed winger but can't afford both.
@@Nfarce Thanks for the comment! Yeah I've seen videos but never been through HUET! Would definitely be an awesome experience. We attend Flight Safety in Lafayette, LA, and rumor has it that they will be adding HUET to their services in the future. They're all fun, what are you flying now?
Thanks for the comment! It's actually pretty funny how quickly you get used to it! When I first started flying the 430, I thought it would feel very odd, but after a few hours, I didn't even notice it!
This is one of the skid ships, but we operate both. My Chicago Departure video is in the wheeled ship if you’d like to see that one! Appreciate the comment!
This is actually the only one that I know of with this set up! Lots of larger twin engine helicopters have vertical twist grip throttles on the collective, not horizontal. Or the throttle levers are above the pilot's head. Thanks for the comment!
Excellent! Thanks for sharing the preflight

Love the new collective with the throttle control
Am no pilot but interested in being one. Does the collective be engaged on autopilot, or must it be held on during flight?
Very cool video...that is a big rig

Having Fun
great vid, big fan
Nice video, nice helicopter (awsome i`d say), and nice background music. Good work and happy landings from Portugal
Much appreciated my friend! Thanks for the comment!
Adrion I love to be out flying the 430
this was great, subscribed. Please more!
Much appreciated! Glad you're enjoying the content!
Awesome Video
Thanks!

I never get tired of hearing turbines spool up! 👏
What’s it like pulling the collective unorthodox like? Gotta feel weird compared to the conventional method?

Wheels or skids

@@adrionaviationwhat do helicopters need wheels for though?
@@jayasmrmore3687 Just a different configuration. A big benefit of wheels is less drag=more speed when the wheels are retracted in flight.
How many helicopters have collectives like that? Is it just the big Bell helis?

The 212, 230, 430, and Airwolf models are the only ones.
Wuts a bell 430 look like
