This scene is Bruce's career condensed down to a few minutes-a fighter from start to finish. I never doubted his character's intentions or behavior. A class-act. 😇
If you’re igbo watching this, it’s impossible not to cry. May the souls of all the innocent lives lost between 1967-1970 Rest In Peace. We will never forget.
At 2:53 the irony of Lake dying trying to go back & help someone left behind when during their team meeting he was the only one saying to leave them all behind.
His name was Blake. In my opinion, the best outta all of them. He says himself that he didn't want to help them but died to help one. Not for them but for his team
Hans Zimmer went off! The score seamlessly blends a feeling of all-out warfare, gallantry and triumph. It made this scene really feel like an absolute last stand not just for these soldiers, but the very future of the Ibo.
Just watching this movie the umpteenth time. My light went but I just got the dying urge to see the ending on UA-cam, especially the air support part. It's one great piece of Bruce Willis, which you surely can't get enough.
The discipline and dedication of these operators is amazing; they are facing incredible odds and they are constantly working together, communicating with each other, and never give up. True testament to the power of special forces
I think this is the best movie on navy SEALS. It also shows actors had military guidance instructing them how to do contact drills. The SEALS are not ment nor equiped to face a battallion size force. They can only slow them down while giving ground.
One of my favorite movies. Musical score is incredible. "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing." Edmund Burke
Still makes me drop tears every time I watch this scene. One of the best war movies. You can see that Bruce Willis' character and others are ready to sacrifice their lives when the jets are ready to drop the bombs. Because the target zone is close to them, the bombs might also kill all of them.
I love soldier Red, his speed and precision in combat was what made him go to the end even though he was left alone, without support and wounded, he managed to survive. Cole Hauser👦🔥
don’t quote me on this but I think he was the Point recon/Scout meaning he’s mostly going to be on his own upfront of the pack or trailing as last man as you see here , dude was mutlirole operator forsure , he delayed the enemy juste enough ,that Z manages to survive
ONE OF THE BEST VALOR WAR MOVIES EVER MADE, you cant get this no better with the cast and supporting cast ever, each guy played his part brilliantly, what you are watching I believe played out in real life, Red set the stage for the entire fight, and kept with his convictions they out the fight, he was gonna die trying and that they did once Red said what he said to them, they were 1000% behind what Red had said, you got to have a Red in every bunch of soldiers

Always Thought This Film Got a Bad Reputation It Was Panned When It Got Released But I Honestly Think This Is One Of Bruce Willis's Best Action Films & That Scene In The Village Is Both Horrific & Haunting & sadly So very accurate In Today's World. A Truly Great Film 👍😊
Wasnt just some mindless Rambo type action film, all the guys had personality and reasoning for why they wanted to help. Very underated film. Deserved more than a 7/10 in my opinion.
I’ve never thought about it before, but even though they are the bad guys, you have to give some respect to the army guys; they are running into some serious fire against clearly well trained opponents and they never stop pursuing
Even tho this is total hollywood i can confirm once you are under fire like this total training kicks in. You dont have time to think untill those rare moments where you think 'Why am i Here?' Or when you notice the enemy is scared of you and you get that adrenaline rush Tom dominate and kill them again shortly followed again by 'WTF am in doing here?' This scene captured some of that at least.
War is generally pretty sad and $h!tty for those fighting it. Shame the folks ordering other folks to bleed and die don't realize, or care, about that fact.
I love the fact that they used everything they had in their arsenal, LAW, claymore, multiple grenade throw, most of the time in movie they go down with lots of firepower still unused.

09:10 "Danger Close!"+ the music + fighter pilot flicking the switch, gives me the chills everytime

It's meant to be a character redemption.
That’s character development.
Dude 🥺🥺🥺🥺 Lake’s sacrifice was probably the best moment of the film! The look on his face when he made the decision…🥺
