Feel free to check it out, it's great!
The Inferno mod is something of a prodigy in the modding community, recently having been released as the most extensive and in-depth difficulty overhaul mod to date. But does it live up to the hype?
Soundtracks used - Hearing Things (AC6), Butler Attack (Lethal Comany), Hammer of Stones (Hyrule Warriors), Collective Consciousness (Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance), Nine Ball's Theme by The Noble Demon, I'm My Own Master Now (Spirit of the Wolf Remix), and Matoren Enclave (Bionicle Heroes), .

5:55 “Yet another fight of quality where you terrorize Arquebus’ local twink by killing his dad.” killed me
Pater: the femboy of arquebus
Haven't played any of AC6's more impressive mods but I have to say its good to see Enforcer System sitting at the top for the reasons you gave, same reasons why I find the base game version of that bossfight (And specifically when I first did the fight) up there next to Rusty as fights that were the ones that got me really loving the dance of the fight.
Solid list. Honestly pretty on point with how I've also been viewing the bosses in this mod. Also sending in my brief thoughts on the bosses as an avid inferno player myself:
KRSV Nepenthes - Yeah, I can tell Birb definitely had some trouble trying to make this boss more difficult and still be engaging with all the revisions it got. I personally find it a lot more difficult compared to the base game, but I can see where you're coming from when it comes to cheesing it.
Cataphract RD - My biggest gripe with the vanilla game Cataphract is how easy is it to just stagger and take it out given that it was a BEAST in the story trailers. This revision does make it last much longer which I appreciate, but looking back, it could definitely use some changes to its attacks like all the other bosses to set itself apart from the others. Imo, its only real threatening attack is its spread laser cannons.
Intercept the Redguns - Man, the older versions of that mission were utterly miserable to go through. Glad to see them get nerfed. Good points on Iguazu's appearance since there are obvious continuity errors in his inclusion further reflected in the unchanged dialogue and his lack of ALLMIND parts. Which I'd say the same with Nile's appearance since he went MIA for the entire 2nd half of the game; he doesn't even show up in the Chapter 4 briefings.
Defend the Dam Complex - I haven't tested out the new changes made to it yet, but from experience, I've found both Princess and Wolf somewhat harder to deal with than King and Chartreuse, likely with the two having more repair kits and Wolf wielding Terminal Armor xd; Coralis was pretty easy imo. Yeah, I agree with you on the pilots lack much synergy compared to the base game fight. Plus they kinda feel pretty samey in terms of builds; all mid-weight bipedals compared to Branch's selection of a tetrapod, a tank, and a bipedal.
The 4 Student Pilots - Yeah, I've always resorted to cheesing this fight by taking on each student 1 by 1 since it gets real hectic trying to fend off all 4 of them at once while avoiding ending the mission too early lol.
Juggernaut - Yeah, I'm all for new changes made to the Juggernaut rather than just having to fight two of them. Never realized that the average player's very first exposure to the custom bosses all starts with Balteus HE lol.
Carla, Chatty, and DAVE - Yeah, this fight folded me a couple times over with the addition of Dave. The vanilla fight was already pretty hard enough with Carla on your tail, which is why I tend to resort to taking her out first. I always try to leave Chatty for last even with Dave now present.
Ambush the Vespers - This mission's pretty fun now with Snail and a couple MTs thrown into the fray. Not much I got to say for this once other than Kaiser's addition. Was Flatwell meant to be like an operator in this since some of his dialogue remains unchanged, added with the fact that Kaiser uses Coldcall's dialogue in the Watchpoint ALT?
Ice Worm + C-Weapons - Oh boy. This mission... I can hear my radar beeping at every second with all the missiles thrown at me from the C-Weapons + having to focus on the Ice Worm lmao. It can be sometimes infuriating having to keep track of the Ice Worm while so much is being hurled at me. I'm surprised that I managed to beat this mission through a light-weight laser + Stun Needle build knowing how laser-resistant the C-weapons are.
The Augmentis - God, I've almost always resorted to taking out Eve first depending on what builds I went for that mission. It's fun, though difficult since I honestly found both Hammer and Lilith more difficult than even Eve alone. Fighting all three at once is a whole different story, though I'd prefer to take both out before Eve could show up. Kinda wish Hammer and Lilith both show up as arena opponents.
Balteus HE - So this is the pre-nerf Balteus experience huh, almost. The missile tracking on it caught me off-guard countless times and even today I still haven't gotten it quite down yet lol. Older versions weren't all too bad imo since the LC AI was pretty wonky at the time so I tend to lock in onto Balteus. Now, taking out the LCs becomes a necessity for me with how aggressive they are now, all the while trying to avoid Balteus's missiles.
Advanced Cavalry - This boss.. Words cannot describe enough how much this fella folded me over in the arena compared to every other boss, and I still stand by the fact that it's my personal hardest boss to this date. The additional tweaks to it really made a whole hell of a difference to the HC, more so than the Cataphract. Though, do I have to agree that the boss fight in the campaign isn't all that bad with Princess by your side. Thinking more on this and unless Birb fixes it so that Princess actually leaves the area upon being defeated as well as nerfing her, I'd honestly have Rusty back with me in this mission.
CEL 240 Apollyon - I'm liking the dialogue changes made to this boss. Not as annoying as in the base game knowing how difficult CEL 240 can be. But I swear, on my first go against her, her Coral shield didn't feel as durable as it is now. Or am I just trippin. Anyways, hard as hell, definitely makes pulse guns a necessity as well having a melee weapons (+ BASHO arms) with ya. What does often catch me off guard however is her coral explosions she puts out after doing a flip iirc. Always seems to catch me when I'm so close to her xd.
Ekdromoi RD - Lol. Lmao. The amount of times I got staggered and demolished by the HE variant. Easily up there as among my hardest bosses in this mod. Though I do kinda wish the GP variant was made a bit harder to balance out the two since the plasma gun isn't too particularly difficult to avoid. It just feels like the biggest threat is the HE variant by a large margin which just feels ironic lol
Balteus-ML - Man. What a boss. Birb nailed it with this one. Depending on the build, I never really found it all that hard in the campaign depending on what build I've used against arena; I typically used Pulse Guns against it since Arquebus Balteus's Pulse Armor regen does tend to kinda infuriate me lol. Arena's a different story though + those instances it just goes sicko mode on you before you can even move xd. Although, some of my complaints comes from how fast the homing MOONLIGHT Cannon is with how much damage they deal. Never felt that I was able to dodge those projectiles proper.
Royal and his Homies - So, this a taste of how the FA players felt during THAT mission huh, with the amount of times they've dog-piled me hard xd. I tend to always take out Varek and Apollo first since those two I've found the most threatening out of the bunch while Journalist and Kaiser tend to be the last ones remaining on runs of this mission. Really makes me wanna ask for a 2nd Supply Sherpa before the fight itself lmao.
Everyone clowning on Iguazu - Not much to say. I don't care if this fight ain't that hard at all or does it contradict with the NG++ narrative. It's the presentation that matters, with Iguazu first clowning on Snail before getting clowned on by everyone else + the dialogue is just GOLD. Though, I'm curious to hear that the allies can still die in this mission, since I don't recall that happening in my runs.
SOL-644 INFERNO - To think I'm starting to think her base game variant wasn't all that difficult at all. Birb COOKED (heh) with this one in terms of difficulty and probably knew how much we tend to stagger from missiles so much in general :). Not a fan of her color scheme though; it just clashes too much with the bright red and overall, just isn't pleasant to gander at imo.
Coral Enforcer - Ah yes, the poster child of this mod, and deservedly so. The vanilla Enforcer I've found to be among the harder bosses out there, but this turns it up a notch, in BOTH presentation and gameplay, honestly among my favorites next to the Advanced Cavalry. Though I almost always tend to go with light-weights against it, my first go against it was a mid-weight with the bunker which the Enforcer EATS LIKE A FULL COURSE MEAL- and it was with Basho ARMS TOO. Take a guess on how many tries my first attempt against it took xd
I love the breakdown, I gotta say this is quite the respectable list!
No honorable mentioned for MAD STOMP...
Loving the Bionicle Heroes music in the background lol.
UA-cam recommended this to me, never heard of this mod or your channel but I believe I found something worth subscribing to. Keep up the good work.
haven't explored much of the ACVI mods but love the choice here to change some of the dialogue so it fits the changes to the enemies...
I didn't realize that the PCA works off of 40k ork rules.
Red =fast simply as
I love that when it gets to the Juggernaut duo, Collective Consciousness from Metal Gear Rising starts playing.
… I have a feeling I’ll need a damn walkthrough of this mod SOON
Love you bro ❤
Those top 3 are the coolest bosses I've ever seen. Hopefully I get to playing this one day.
Chat, is this real?
You can also cheese the Tester AC fight by killing the main AC and ignoring the rest. It and the rest of the bosses that add in new members of the fight are all easy to beat simply by going after the original targets. If they could at least make you have to kill all of them, then they'd be tough.
Also: Ice Worm keeps glitching on me, which made it more frustrating. Having my game crash right before I was about to beat it for the first time made me just swap to the vanilla game and skip it on my first playthrough.
Yeah, I just like to fight the all the men in multi-opponent fights and am judging them by that!
If the Enforcer was meant to be a Nineball cameo then it would make sense that the Coral Enforcer would be batshit insanely hard.
10:33 i am going to do that next time i fight this boss
I loved using the Eule in that fight, would recommend not because it makes the fight easy, but because it’s just fun to use
@@themaskmaster8013 yeah exactly, armored core 6 is all about style. I'm already thinking through what kinda build i want to run. I'm mostly a loader 4 runner, though I played an earlier version of the mod and could barely get loader 4 past the grid 069 cleanup mission haha. Nice to have a mod where you can build something crazy OP and have the mod be crazy OP right back.
Also: Coral Enforcer was surprisingly not the hardest fight for me. I ended up making an LW AC based around just hovering around it with 3PMs and Etsujins, and it cleared it on first go. That said: its creative attacks and general vibe are fun, and it is absolutely one of my favorite fights! Snail Balteus however is one I was personally less of a fan of. I can get what they were going for and I do think it has some interesting abilities, but I frankly felt like I was beating it via brute force and didn't *have* to learn how to dodge its attacks.
Interesting! Your mention of the Coral Enforcer reminds me of what I said about there being an odd angle where you could cheese it a little… Also makes me wish again that Etsujins get nerfed lol
What were your favorite bosses?
@@themaskmaster8013 I don't mind Etsus being strong, but frankly that's because most other rifle options just suck ass. I'd prefer if they were all at least viable.
As for faves:
Coral Enforcer.
Ayre Inferno.
Ekdromoi HE.
Suppression Squad.
My least favorite fights were:
Any of the Juggernaut appearances.
Redguns.
Nepenthes (didn't actually fix the problem with that fight.)
That Crummy Rummy Rematch.
wait, the CATAPHRACT was unstaggerable day 1 💀
When i first fought Cataphract i was disappointed because i thought the fight would be at least a bit difficult.
I was using a midweight build with the long kinetic rifle (forgor the name) Pile bunker, and missiles and the beginner shotgun if i remember correctly.
Seeing Cataphract in the trailers and being hyped up to fight it and then beating it in less than 3 minutes was kind of a letdown. It felt WAY too easy.
*AND NOW IM LEARNING THEY NERFED HIM BY MAKING HIM STAGGERABLE?” WHAT THE HELL!!?*
They really did my boy dirty. 😔
Inferno just got an update that gave it new attacks and brought back the unstaggerable trait, luckily!
@@themaskmaster8013let’s goooo!!!
Do these modded fights have classic AC music playing?
Nah, I just put it in post editing. The mod is compatible with the Songs of Rubicon mod though, so I'd absolutely try it with that mod if you're interested!
Lmao for the tester ACs I just went double earshot.
If I miss one, I hit another with the splash.
Some areas and bosses seems not properly polished, so I hope there'll be an update patch in the future if possible
Despite the current patch saying full release, Birb has mentioned that further updates to the mod will come! Which bosses were you thinking of?
@@themaskmaster8013 perhaps improving some of the bosses' attack sprite to make it less weird (i.e. that ekrodomoi who use plasma charge but shoots grenade ammo), and some bosses need to do a bit of overhauls like you say in the video (nephentes and cataphract). I might've missed other stuff so treat this as small suggestions for the modder
@@RizkT511 I get what you mean yeah, I heard Birb is making breakthroughs in his developments so I’m really excited to see what he fixes and makes!
@@themaskmaster8013 ohoho this gonna be interesting
Hey do you plan to play the older games on your channel ? That would be pretty to hear your opinion about them
If I can emulate them, I'd love to try them out!
@@themaskmaster8013 it's actually quite easy
The PS1 are probably the hardest to play with the old control (I'm not kidding) but there are some version of the PS2 games that are patched in some ways to allow analog stick to work
And then there is the 4th gen and 5th gen on PS3 (I think the Xbox emulator work better for the 5th gen games but I'm not sure)
For the PS1 emulator I don't know what to really recommend but for the PS2 you can simply use PCXS2 it's great and has controller support directly
For 4th gen it's rpcs3 and you I think another software to use a controller(for example DS4 for PS4 controllers) you also need to tweak some settings in the emulator or the game will have it's textures bugged you can find tips for it online
And for the games files you can find them with a Google search nothing fancy
@@themaskmaster8013you can easily emulate them
For the PS2 games just use PCXS2 for 1st gen I don't really know what to recommend and 4th and 5gen are played on PS3 emulator
Owl makes it to number 1
why can i hear the lethal company butler music at 16th place? 😂
Idk it was what I had on hand
