Thankyou for that nice video, I have some old bamboos from many years ago they have not rooten from what I can see but they have a matt like look and that there appears to a layer of something on it, does look like mould and I can't wipe it off don't know what it is.
It is ok to use bamboo in this condition it won't damage or cause an infection to my plants?

Now just add electroculture with copper to them and you have healthier plants and soil.

Great info but I have one question.... is there any chance of freshly cut bamboo rooting itself into the ground? I'm in the process of building a trellis now and was wondering if the bamboo needed to cure first.

      Did you find an answer?

@@SamKrish8984 I built a beautiful 24' long trellis that's still holding up nicely through the seasons and is a pleasure to look at through my window in the off-season. I put 2' long, 3/8" rebar into the ground and cut the bamboo so that it would go over it at the joint after drilling a hole into the thick joint. I figured it would give it the strength it needed and not split that way. So to answer your question, I didn't end up burying the end of the bamboo. Problem solved, but my question remains unanswered! I have cattle panel trellises as well but the bamboo is definitely more aesthetic.

Sign up for Master Gardener training in your county. Once you complete training, you are a Master Gardener Intern until you fulfill the service requirement. Then you are a Master Gardener. Your "pay" is passing the joy of gardening onto others and serving your community - Master Gardeners are volunteer educators for the state land grant universities.
