I'm a Marine and had issues with my mental health. I discovered gardening and it helped. I hope to be as knowledgeable as you. West Texas is brutal in everything.
Great video, thank you. I have bamboo growing on my property. I cut 8 poles. Measured them to one another to my desired height. Laid them on the lawn. Tied them as you directed me (pausing as I went), to make a fan shape and now I have a trellis for my blackberry bush that's still in a pot. Didn't have to spend a cent. Already had, bamboo, string, scissors, pruners, and clippers. 😁
HalleluYAH! That is so wonderful sista Mary. Thank you for sharing as well as sharing how easy it is to stop and think about the free resources we already have. Yes Yes!
Much appreciated, Yes they do rob you blind. Purchase you a pack of 8 ft bamboo sista and you can cut them down to 4 ft if you like. I have trellis for days
This trellis is beautiful. It adds a nice rustic element to the garden and it blends with the plants and trees so well. You really do have a marvelous eye for design king! What a garden of peace and serenity. HalleuYAH! Shalawam!
Wow, thank you! Now I know what good use to put the bamboo I have too! I'm also glad I'm not the only one who goes by how there's no such thing as annuals for that reason. It is so true!
Thank you so much fur this helpful info on making a bamboo trellis. We are growing bamboo as a screen for privacy n our backyard but it has spread too much so now we have to keep thinning it out. I have been looking for ways to make use of the bamboo canes, such as trellis. I appreciate learning about the best way to tie it together.
Just what I was looking for. I grow my own bamboo and want to build various supports. I like your hat towel combo too. Looks like an improvement over my hat alone.
I sourced some free 15' bamboo from a lot next to my home they growing wild. Thanks for the video great. I subscribe you channel, knowledge is power. 🖖
Just did the exact same thing yesterday for my squash and grapes which are beyond one of the original trellis for them. CRAZY GROWTH NOW all of a sudden. It’s the rain water!
HalleluYAH! Yes spread those wildflower seeds. I did that 2 years ago on a empty field because the city was lagging at improving the area. Now everyone take photos in the fields and it is no longer a eye soar.
Genius technique tying the bamboo together! And as a bonus I learned how to use those clips properly! 😆 I’ve been using them all wrong 🤦🏻♀️. Thank you brother for sharing your wisdom!
I'm thinking of a vertical garden and couldn't figure where I was going to get a metal grid to place on a fence then thought of bamboo scaffolding in Hong Kong and searched and found your video. I'm thinking you just solved my problem. :-) I'm not sure how strong it would be to take pots of plants but if that's an issue, then all I need do is add coconut fibre and attach use Neoregelia Bromeliads which are pretty lightweight.
Thank you sir! Short and to the point, this is exactly what i was looking for. Been following you for some time on TikTok but you just popped up on my search for bamboo trellis. New UA-cam subscriber. 🙏🙏🙏
I appreciate you showing us that awesome tie you did with the twine -- thanks! My bamboo stakes look much thinner granted they are much taller which I would need for my cantaloupe -- do you recommend a particular brand that is super strong? Just curious. Thanks
Hey -- I love your thick bamboo -- its way thicker than the tall bamboo that I have. I didn't see an amazon link that you recommended. Any chance you can tell me where you got your bamboo? Thanks!
My garden is also open. Strong winds cannot rip down bamboo. It is one if not the strongest woods ever to be created by the creator. Tie the sticks together using my tying method here and you won't have a problem. Remember the bamboo is anchored in the soil about a ft deep.
Hello Sir 👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾 I'm just scrolled into your video and tried to click on the bamboo link in Amazon but it is no longer available. Would you please share another link? I'm in desperate need. I'm growing a garden for the very first time and i would like to gain from your expertise. Blessings to you.

Exactly what I needed - thank you!! Do you think they're strong enough for fruit trees too (e.g. apple)?
IN THIS CASE I WOULD USE PARACORD (BASIC). That is what I use
Great stuff! Anywhere to find your old house plant videos?
ua-cam.com/video/CTqzVBVegd4/v-deo.html
I should’ve watched this before I struggle tied my first ever trellis lol I did something like this with more trial and error.
I appreciate you showing us that awesome tie you did with the twine -- thanks! My bamboo stakes look much thinner granted they are much taller which I would need for my cantaloupe -- do you recommend a particular brand that is super strong? Just curious. Thanks
No brand just Jute string
Decent. Simple I got it. Just one question what's the thickness of that bamboo and is it expensive . Cheers
MAY BE 1/2 TO 1 INCH. CHEAP MY LOCAL NURSERY OR HYDROPONIC SHOP. IT'S SUPER CHEAP
Hey -- I love your thick bamboo -- its way thicker than the tall bamboo that I have. I didn't see an amazon link that you recommended. Any chance you can tell me where you got your bamboo? Thanks!
AT A NURSERY "GREEN ACRE"
Thanks brother. How does it hold up in strong winds. My garden is open and we have strong winds.
My garden is also open. Strong winds cannot rip down bamboo. It is one if not the strongest woods ever to be created by the creator. Tie the sticks together using my tying method here and you won't have a problem. Remember the bamboo is anchored in the soil about a ft deep.
Where do you get the bamboo and what is the diameter. Love your videos
