    I'm so glad I found your channel cause I've been curious on how their costumes are historically accurate. One thing I've noticed about Tina's hair like you've said must be because she was starting to have feelings for Newt. That's why she styled it to present herself attractively in front of him.

      aw thank you! and yeah I think it's really cute that Tina does her hair at the end :)

    I did the embroidery for the black dress, it was literally a straight up copy of a real dress from the twenties!

    • @castoputa

      They were clouds, stars and moons, I used beads that copied the ones from the original.

      And you’re quite right, the embroidery is a night sky, with stars and moons like your fabulous earrings! The dress is black silk crepe chiffon with a flesh toned silk charmeuse lining.

    their outfits reflect the characters
    Newt- mismatched, colourful, a bit out of place. He is considered a weirdo and really doesn't know how to present himself
    Jacob- ordinary, average, few fun details (the colourful tie). His whole character is that he's an "ordinary man" who gets caught up in the wizarding world
    Tina- casual, masculine, informal. in the first movie, she is completely focused on her job and thus her appearance is a bit unkempt. The way we see her treated by the ministry shows us that she doesn't have a high reputation, so she's very likely just trying to get by.
    Queenie- fancy, dreamlike/fairylike. She is more fancy than Tina, and more feminine. I got the vibe from her, that she is mentally always somewhere else.

    Dumbledore is visiting an orphanage to takeTom to a new school, thats why the more normal suit. Please dont apply religion to a film about magical creatures and wand waving. Grindelwald is wearing a goth punk outfit from UK late seventies and is worn right up to today. Tinas black dresswith the coloured plaid threads is gorgeous. I would love a few metres of the fabric x

    Newt's "Bow Tie", when you take a closer look at it, it's entirely a movie design right?
    Or is that right for the period?

    • @alyssanicole336
      @alyssanicole336  2 роки тому +1

      Well men wore bow ties in the 1920s, but Newts bow tie is definitely a shape I haven’t really seen. So I would guess a little bit of both.

      The lass hasnt studied fashion but gives her own opinion eloquently. She should come to the UK for adegree. In Carlisle the very North of England there is an excellent course in a place that is surrounded with historical castles just North of the Border. Student swap?

      @@mrsbee5056 Stay on topic. I'm just asking is the bow tie from the 1920's? Do you know or not?

    • @alyssanicole336
      @alyssanicole336  Рік тому

      I would say the bowtie could exist in the 1920's and it wouldn't be considered strange. I'm not sure if it's based off something specific but it could technically be considered "from the 1920s."
