I had Klipsh 8000f for just two months, quickly got rid of them and bought svs pinnacles. For two years already we are having very happy relationship.i run them with couple of decent tube amps and never even consider of getting anything better for improvement. Well ...svs 3000 micro sub will make them sing a little better.

Not I'm new to HT and have a not so big room 85% movies have to build my speakers setup over time was look at prime bookshelf or Pinnacle want to end up at 5.2.2, but have to start with 3.0.0 was looking a Klipsch where I can get a bit more for the $$$, but not sure I will be happy three years from now... Please help!

I'm torn between these the B&W 603 and the Klipsch RP-8000. The SVS are the cheaper in price of all but I'm wondering if the performance will be a let down compared to the other 2 choices I have above. First world problems...
The Klipsch RP-8000 are really nice and sound awesome, they will be a little more forward in the highend, but not bright at all. They also have better bass extension and sound fuller. The Pinnacles are just a little more laid back in the highend, but are still very dynamic in sound. I would take either over the B&W 603's
I was plan on getting these speakers after the holiday, but after christmas shopping for the wife and kids and paying all the bills including mortgage. These boys will arrive tomorrow and pair with my ultra center and sb-3000. Hopefully, these speaker are worth the price, because the size is perfect for my den. Wife hates the way the ultras look, so these will suffice.👍😀
I really like your channel. Good work. The Prime Pinnacle towers are on my shopping list. The only concern that I have is sound quality that I need on my next and final purchase of HiFi speakers. In your opinion do these speakers compare to the following; Martin Logan 40i towers, Focal Aria 926 or Chora 826 towers, Monitor Audio Silver 300 towers and Paradigm Premier 800f towers. These are my shortlist speakers with the Focal 926 on the top of my budget range. Mail ordering such an important emotional item seems risky to me so I would really value your opinion. I like that these have metal grills in front of the tweeter. It's frustrating to see speakers that are 10x the price with no protection on the tweeter beyond the larger grill.

I can’t say if the price is worth it to you, but I know that I thought the Arendals were worth their price. They both have really pleasing sound, but the Arendals were better for music since it had better performance across the frequency range- especially the low end. For home theater, I don’t think there’s a big enough difference.

I had the Prime Pinnacle speakers and thought they lacked realism and where very thin at the low end, I changed to the Ultra Towers and immediately noticed a huge difference and a much better more rounded sound. In my opinion spend a little extra and get the Ultra Towers, you will not be disappointed.
My room size is 3.4m X 3.9m running 5.1.4 . Using marantz SR 6014 AVR. Recommend crossover setting for Prime Tower, Prime Centre, Prime satellite and 2 pair of evolution speaker mounting on wall front height and rear height?
I think the ultras a more suited to home theater, especially with those built in woofers in the base, while the Pinnacles are more balanced for both music and HT. That’s just my assessment without actually having heard the Ultras in person tho
From what I have heard the Ultras are hard to calibrate because of those woofers and can't be placed to close to a wall since you get lots of bass reflexion. I would ask SVS for a pair to compare them as fast as possible to still have the Pinnacles fresh.
IMO the ultra towers excel more towards 2 channel music because of the great bass responce, but they do need room around them to sound good regardless of application. The Pinnacles are more balanced and are much easier to place in a room, and work really nice with a subwoofer.
I would say the ultras are better all around. Plus they have a built in sub yet have that wierd shape. And they have more bass. Either way you cant go wrong!!

I reviewed the 1723, not the 1723 S. That said, I bought the Arendals after that review, so I did choose one. The Arendals are better to my ear and I don’t regret it one bit. They’re both really great choices.

@@ThaVillaMan Tha_VillaMan the mid speaker crossover and the subwoofer crossover has to be identical if it is not then there will be poor sound reproduction does your SVS subwoofer crossover match you SVS tower speakers crossover ?
If plan on getting these speakers use Denon X3500/x3600 or higher end receiver with a bigger power supply and/or MultEQ® XT32 and Sub EQ HT. These boys dip into the 4-6ohm territory when played loud and not a true 8ohm speakers. I have these paired with Ultra Center, Ultra Bookshelf, Prime Elevations and two SB-3000s using the x3500h. I think most speakers impedence hovers between 4 to 8 ohm with variation. There is no continuous steady impedence. However some dip even to 2.5 ohm so for those a 4 ohm capable amp/receiver is must. Most just above entry level AVR (at least 500$) should drive 4-8 ohm speakers easily IMO just below reference level.
What I want to know is, while you were playing the music - could you hear all the clipping, distortion and collasping in image from song to song with all the newer digital protools recordings. Also I want to know as you played song to song from old to new did you actually hear a night and day difference BETWEEN the albums =- reflecting that they were recording in different places and mixed differently or did they all sound pretty much the same?
Question.. I have the SVS prime towers and love the sound.. I love the sweet highs that are crisp.. How do these pinnacles sound compared to the prime towers? Are the highs still sweet and crisp? but bigger sound? Thanks and just want to know the pro and cobs between the 2 models Thanks

To get the most out of any speakers i would suggest you invest in a high quality 2 Channel Power Amplifier makes a hell of a difference .

Music was only the speakers. Movie included the sub

The Outlaw 5000 or the Emotiva A-5175 are a good inexpensive amps with great power. You can always go bigger and more powerful, of course
