I would most likely use this as an overnight charger soi wouldn't worry about speed. The extra space would come in handy.
I bought the Duo to use with my 15 watt wireless charger and a Note 20 Ultra, Live buds and "old" Galaxy watch as watch was not on Trio compatibility list. I rarely need to charge buds and watch at same time. Think the watch compatibility is a big difference to highlight between the Duo and Trio.
I was curious about that. So its not just a formality? The older watches won't charge on the Trio? I have a Gear S3 and the charger has to charge that.
@@liland94 I cannot confirm which watches the newer chargers support other than what the website says. I ended up with older the single circle charger for my watch and buds and kept my 15 watt vertical charger for my note 20 ultra. I can tell you that with 3 phones of people I know, the older circular stand-up wireless chargers don't seem to work through the case for S20 plus and note 20 ultra. Seems to want the 15 watt one. Or I guess the new pad. Hope that helps!
@@liland94 It's not a formality, Even if you put older watches on the Trio(Even the original Galaxy watch) it will flash orange and not actually charge so keep that in mind before buying the Trio :D
Thanks for this Jimmy. I had to decide between a case cover for the Tab S7+ or the trio charger to buy with my Samsung rewards, glad I chose the cover since I enjoy the fast charging Duo I already have.
Trio is going to be my overnight charger!
I think the bigger pad in duo supports fast charge 2.0 which is 15W not 7.5W
I'd stick with the duo and the 15w wireless charger

YIPPEE! I'M IN FIRST! I've gone with the wireless charger duo as I only use it overnight and find that its adequate for my Fold2 and Samsung Watch.
Hey @Jimmy is Promo, Cool review! I would suggest use Ampere, it will do a real time rating of charging the batteries. I also have both wireless charging and the Duo is faster. I personally like the Trio since I have 3 devices and I leave them overnight, But I do disable the fast charging on the phone :)
Wish they made an updated stand.
I think fast wireless charging power bank are much better than wireless charging pad,because you can use powerbank on desk while it's plugged in and also everywhere outside

Hey Jimmy, correction at the 4:00 minute mark. If there’s 2 devices on the Duo, then the charging speed on the left coil is reduced to the same as the right one, i.e., 10 watts. With the right coil empty, the left pad goes up to 12 watts
I thought wireless fast charge 2.0 was 15w

Thanks for the video! Ordered the Trio with the S21 Ultra and Buds Pro and also have my Active2 to use on the right. Charging Speed isn't an issue since it will be at my bedside. When I need the speed I'll pull out the Super Fast charger.
Yeah I'll just stick to my duo even though that extra space is nice for watch, earphones and phone to be charged at the same time.
Looking on Samsung site 2 reviewers say the trio doesn't charge the Galaxy watch, can you confirm?

I love this video. It was very helpful, I didn't even know that you can charge you phone slowly on duo watch pad, smtms you have a lots of time and you simply don't want to overcharged your phone 👍
So, as you charge the battery, the charging time increases to get the final %s. Charging 2 devices with different battery sizes and charging techs, and swapping isnt gonna be as useful for a test as 2 of the same device. Thanks for the info.

Is these wireless chargers worth it? Worth 50e? Duo is 30e i think. Does it harm devices when they are there overnight many hours after full charged?
Samsung really have to up their game in the charging. 9 watts to 15 watts of wireless charging, looking at other manufacturers. Samsung's improvements is way too slow. I love Samsung but don't always give us something similar. Upgrading from Note 8 to Note 20 Ultra. I can't deny there is improvement but it too negligible.

Fast charging but it takes so much longer to charge without using a wire to connect? Must be a way to get it more like fast charging wirelessly. Different charging brick? Different wire?

I don't argue with people but the note 20 has a fast charge setting that you have to turn on, you never showed if you turned it on, or not. and the trio even though I've only experimented with one why we were stacking them. it did explain that there's a sweet spot on each side and if you don't hit that you're not gonna get the fast charge. just something you need to know next time you want to do a review

Having it in a plugged in charge and a wireless charge is a whole hour difference? Doesn't seem like a good thing to get wireless since it's so much slower
It's more for daily overnight charging. Not good to fast charge all the time..

Just get the duo regardless its the fastest . Even if you have 3 devices. Just use reverse wireless charging.

My Note 10 plus on the new rectangle duo from 5% says 4 hours! wtf?
For me the it's trio, more space and plus overnight not a issue, don't want to burn my stuff down
Do not buy as it won't charge buds .... It take more than 12 hours to charge buds so no use of having trio charger...I have recently purchased and regretting my decision and checking return option

I have a nillkin duo, and magic disk4 and they are very very nice, but the night stand is a 100% always work for phones only without ever 1 miss, never ever every 4 every, still love the flat straight design of the new samsung very slick looking! And it slides so in youre bagpack since it also dont have its own adapter witch is only handy at home.

So that means you have the Exynos version. Please help me before i buy the charger. How long does it take to charge from let's say 10% to 100%. I believe the trio charges Exynos versions faster than the qualcom
The different phones used could also be contributing to the different in charging performance. This test is not equitable.

My Samsung Trio charges my Samsung buds and watch but won’t charge my Samsung A51 phone! Very annoying! Time to call Samsung technical.

The duo watch charger sucks it take me about 5 minutes to place it right
To be honest, wireless charging sucks unless your charging port is not working. Or you're earbuds are in and your phone is on the pad
