I agree; miss him so much but hearing his voice is invigorating. There is/was nobody like him!

Paul Kanter & Marty Balin had a chemistry that stood the time over a period of three decades. KBC is Paul Kanter reaction to STARSHIP, while (KBC), their songs held depth & substance. (America & It's not you, it's not me), should have been bigger hits on FM Radio. Marty Balin would like to detach and quit on a dime if he didn't see the big picture. KBC could have been much bigger, for they had the musicians & wall of sound to take it their (KBC sound) to the next level. America should have been a massive hit! Jefferson Starship gave up their rights.

Wow.. bummer!!! Just heard Marty Balin passed. Such a drag first Paul and now Marty rest in peace Paul and Marty. thanks for all the music and helping to make San Francisco what it was and all those golden glorious years before progression and the modern politics ruined it!! I'm listening to the KBC band and thinking of the good times!!! Hope you guys are up there jamming with Jerry!!!

What a great song. It resonates through time to what's going on at this time. Music transcends our understanding of what is human.

pity about the saxophone,it spoils the song.Paul kantner stuff shouldn't have sax on it,totally out of place.

I think Paul was 'burned out' on young, primadonna guitarists like Craig after he left the Starship, wanted a different lead instrument, and before guitar heroes, there were sax heroes. in rock n'' roll..out of place? probably, but I believe that's why...

Sorry. I have to disagree!! The saxophone gives the keyboard a great counterpoint. Not to mention that is the absolutely phenomenal(South S.F born) Keith Crossan whos credits are numerous including a long stint with the Tommy Castro band during their most prolific period. Marty Balin used Keith extensively on his solo work check out the live version of Hearts from the Concord Pavilion!! I also have to agree about Paul being burnt on the guitar overload from the starship days. All in all this was a great album. I remember seeing these guys at the Bandshell in Golden Gate Park after this record came out. Those were great days!!
