Thank you. Had my arm laying flat and was getting high readings. After watching this and realizing I needed to elevate my arm to heart level I started getting normal readings
thats true , At 1st i was laying my arms ,i thought i have high bp 165/90 , but you should raise your arms at the same level of your heart and get around 125/80
HOORAY,,, Finally a vid on the PROPER way to take BP,, thank you,, there are so many idiots out there showing using it on the right arm , over cloths,,, and they are Doctors,, just shows,, there are good car mechanics and there are bad ones,,, YOU are the BEST.
Experts do not recommend using blood pressure monitors when you are lying down. You can measure the pressure while lying down, but the results will not be objective. In a situation where you lie down after sleep, the pressure is lower than when you walk. This is normal for all people. When a person gets up from a lying position, their blood pressure rises. But in normal situations, this should be no more than 130/85. If your blood pressure rises more, see your doctor. If your blood pressure drops as you go up, then you should see your doctor too. Perhaps the reason is in the vessels or some kind of disease. In any case, we wish you good health!
Will you get accurate reading if your I use you right wrist? I heard left recommended in the video. Can you compare left and right wrist readings? Thank you
For this type of BP monitor, the left hand is most often recommended, yes. But we cannot tell you exactly how different the readings on your right hand will be from your left. It all depends on the health of the blood vessels and personal reaction. For an accurate answer, you need to measure your blood pressure with a sphygmomanometer on your left arm, then measure it with a wrist BP monitor on your left wrist, and then compare it with measurements on your right. If it is still not possible to measure blood pressure on your left arm, then measure it on your right. It's not that critical. But it is better to discuss this point with your doctor.
The nurse at my doctors office said I just have to sit there with my arms relaxed by my side when I run the BP monitor on my wrist. Why do I have to keep the machine level with my heart? My friend who has a wrist BP monitor was told to do the cross your heart, where the wrist with the monitor you grab the opposite shoulder. When I do that method, my arm shakes. If I do the elbow on table method, I can't keep my arm still. I just feel like with both of these methods I'm getting inaccurate results.
Different devices have different measurement technologies. Our wrist blood pressure monitor gives the correct result when you keep your elbow on the table. We recommend placing something under your arm so you don't strain your muscles (to avoid shaking). The main thing is that the device has to be located in line with the heart. But if you are in doubt, you can check by yourself, comparing the results obtained in different ways with the results obtained using a sphygmomanometer (manual blood pressure monitor). At the same time, follow the measurement recommendations for objectivity of the results.
Can these be wrong because my brother who is 25 years old healthy measured his BP and it read 150/98 and he felt completely fine. Then my mother checked hers and it read 160/87 and she was resting and felt fine.??? In other words can cheap blood pressure cuffs or blood pressure cuffs that are more than 2 years old be this inaccurate?
If you did everything correctly, as shown in the video, then this is not normal for this device. Please contact our support manager by email: paramed.supp@gmail.com You can also check the batteries in your blood pressure monitor. Maybe it's time to replace.
Many people have high blood pressure for years without knowing it or without symptoms. I had blood pressure of 140-164 for years but didn't feel it and so I didn't worry about it. Then I learned when high blood pressure does to your vessels and heart. I made a serious mistake in not worrying about having high blood pressure because I didn't feel any symptoms - so I ignored it. I finally went to the doctor for a physical (I had just moved and not bothered to get a doctor) and first thing they found was the high blood pressure. I've been on BP medication now for 10 years and with medication, as I sit here, it is about 123/76.

We recommend measuring your blood pressure on your left arm. But if there is no way to do this, then you can do it on the right. But it’s better to compare the measurements in the doctor’s office to understand how they will differ from the measurements from the doctor’s device.
mine one stops like in systolic there will be capital P and at diastolic there are several number after that it should appear the final reading of the pressure but in mine one it stops and doesnt show the final reading it is just closing though i followed all the instructions mentioned there idk whats wrong with it i hope you can help me ..

I can't find my manual. How do I set the date/time? Mine is totally off. Also, I have orthostatic blood pressure issues where I need to check my BP lying down, sitting up and then standing. Do you have any suggestions to make my readings as accurate as possible? In a standing position, I can get very lightheaded and woozy. At times, if I'm not close enough to somewhere to sit, I can pass out. My doctor is aware of the problem.
TIME ON AND SYSTEM SETUP 1. Press the "SET" key to turn on. 2. Press and hold the "SET" key until the year number displays and flashes on the LCD to enter setting mode. 3. Press the "MEM" key to adjust the year. Then, press the "SET' key again to save your setting and enter the month setting mode. 4. Press the "MEM" key to adjust the month. Follow the same steps to adjust date/hour/minute. It is better for you to measure the pressure while sitting, as shown in this video. We wish you good health and normal blood pressure!

A person's blood pressure typically drops slightly following a meal. However, foods high in sodium can cause a temporary increase in blood pressure. So measuring blood pressure immediately after eating may give an incorrect reading.

Thank you, this was very helpful. I have a regular blood pressure monitor and a wrist type for traveling. I also have a pulse oximeter.
Super! You have a great set 😊
Was using it so wrong. Great video

Keep the monitor away from the wrist bones - move it 2 or 3 inches away.
It will then give the same readings as an upper arm cuff monitor.
Thank you very much for the video
You are welcome!

Press on/off button for 10 secs to display unit switching interface then press MEM key to select mmHg/KPA, press ON/OFF button to exit 👌
