Yo dagger_g has shown up on our local online scene a few times. He's a cool guy and his Remy is really out of this world. He came in and smoked all of us picking SA3.
Ken has not become more and more op. He's kind of mid in a lot of games. It's third strike and this I believe where he's top tier. 5 he was mid, alpha he was mid, 4 he was upper mid, at least from what I remember and went and double checked.

Just a Ken tip on Oki: After you knock someone down in the corner throw a Standing LP into Quick Dash Thunder Kick (KK->MK). It counters all wakeup options except for a perfect parry if you time it correctly.

I got to 5 star silver today and got deranked by a Juri player. I got them in a rematch to rank back up and I won both matches and all four rounds. I felt like Daigo. lol I love the small victories

So my guess at what must have happened between 44:48 and 44:50 is that the game treats Dhalsim's arms not only as an extended hurtbox but also as a projectile. Because Max did an OD Hadoken (which is supposed to beat any normal projectile in the game) the situation ended up in a way in which the Shoryuken hit Dhalsim twice: first as a projectile vs projectile interaction and then as a normal projectile, hence the "weird" interaction.
Dhalsim's extended limbs don't act as projectiles. What happened is that the first hit of the OD Hadoken (Shoryuken is the uppercut) caused his arms to immediately return to normal length for his flinch animation. This prevented the second hit from landing right after the first like it usually does, so the Hadoken had to travel to Dhalsim to deal its second hit.
Tbh, it's kinda cool how SF's roster has one representative for almost every martial art. If they wanted to, they really could fill out a roster with one of each archetype and martial art.
Capoeira is no a real Martial art. It's more like a break dance style backed up by a fairy tale about some slaves dancing and kicking the hell out of their owners.
Off topic but in reference to your FF7 Ever Crisis beta playthrough, there is an excellent FF7 OG Remake that came out earlier this year. The Echo-S mod. They spent over 6 years doing a full VO of the original game, and it's actually really fantastic. It, along with the 7th Heaven mod app that has 60FPS, new graphics, sound, etc. makes playing the OG something special and new again. I haven't done a 100% completionism playthrough since 1997, but this mod has me using online guides (like the old printed paperback guides from the 90's) to make sure I don't miss anything.
Jump-happy Kens I'm used to fighting. Jump-happy Ryus are strange and scary to me! I do like fighting weirdly unconventional players, though. Always throw a wrench into my win streaks, y'know? As they should. Part of getting better is adapting to those unconventional methods of using a character. As a Dhalsim main, I kinda stopped fearing rushdown characters, 'cause you can scare them into behaving if they're smart enough to recognize it. It's the ones who try to out-patience me that are terrifying. It doesn't take much for Dhalsim to get put in a bad situation, and you have to try and force your opponent to follow his flow of battle, but someone who can sit and wait for me to do something dumb and punish me for it? That's the scary stuff! _Especially_ when it's a character like Cammy, who usually plays fast and dumb. E: Just got to the back-to-back 'Sim fights. I can tell you at least half of those Reversals weren't meant to come out. I can also tell you those two tried being too cute. Especially the second. Float is not something you wanna be spamming a lot of. You wanna be grounded af as Dhalsim in 6. Unless you can catch someone off-guard with float -> teleport -> HP, but that's not exactly hard to predict a Dhalsim doing. Not a single slide into Yoga Noogie/Yoga Bitchslap, which is just an extra 10 points docked from their test all on its own.
I feel like good practice as people get better and better at the game is to learn how to snuff every raw Drive Rush. People don’t seem ready for it and it’s a great way to pull back momentum

I played against Dagger G on fightcade, man was a legend, I got a few matches in with him and only managed to win one round against him. But honestly I don't care that I got bodied so hard, it was enlightening.

Dp = dragon punch indeed. Almost every character has a variation of it. Dp is a thing on almost all characters because the startup of it is invincible. Meaning you can bypass enemy hits and instead hit them if you time it right.
