I actually have a soft spot for some songs of this genre, including Hootie, even tho I wouldn’t disagree with someone mocking it to any degree…a lot of it has to do with the time period they came out, tho. Which gets to my point, which is that based on a lot of times SP has used music over the years, I feel like Trey also has a soft spot for certain music that came out when he was a certain age, specifically the very end of the ‘80s through about the middle of the ‘90s
