6.6 DURAMAX OIL FILTER ADAPTERS
GlowShift Oil Filter Sandwich Adapters for the 2001-2018 Silverado or Sierra 6.6 Duramax access your diesel truck’s oil filter to install up to (4) 1/8-27 NPT oil pressure or oil temperature sensors. This aluminum oil filter adapter installs directly between the engine and oil filter. With this oil filter sandwich plate adapter you’re eliminating the need to drill into the oil pan and remove stock sensors.
DURAMAX OIL FILTER SANDWICH ADAPTER INSTALL
In this GlowShift Installation Video, we demonstrate how to install one of our Oil Filter Sandwich Adapters on virtually any 2001-2018 GM 6.6 Duramax. Each of these aluminum Duramax oil filter adapters feature (4) 1/8-27 NPT Ports, (4) 1/8-27 NPT Port Plug Threads and oil filter sandwich plates. Install your oil sensors and feed lines without the need to drill into the oil pan or remove stock sensors. With multiple sensor openings on each adapter you’ll also have access to a variety of mounting options.
1. Before beginning, make sure the engine is completely cool. Then remove the oil filter from the motor using a drain pan to catch any oil that drains from the motor. Test-fit the sandwich oil filter adapter to establish the best location for your sensors.
2. Please note that if you’re installing an oil temp gauge, apply Teflon tape to the temperature sensor and insert it into the adapter. If you’re installing an oil pressure gauge, insert the pressure sensor into the adapter.
3. Apply Teflon tape to the included port plugs and insert them into any open ports on the adapter. Place the adapter onto the engine and tighten. Make sure not to overtighten as it could damage the threads on the engine. Then install a new oil filter onto the adapter.
4. Attach the sensor harnesses and secure them away from any hot or moving parts. Finish the install by refilling the engine with factory-recommended motor oil to the factory-designated level.

Which sandwich adaptor would i need for a chevrolet trax 2013 1.4 awd turbo .
Im not sure if these 1 size fits all or do i need a specific sandwich adaptor .

Becouse i think chevrolet trax has a built in oil transfer to turbo it dont use external hose from oil filter house.
Is there a oil temp video? All I see is oil pressure, I have the sand which adapter and the gauge.

Does anything special need to be done for ground for a temp sensor? I just installed this adapter and the temp gauge isn’t reading anything.
Yes, you need to use the included wire connectors to add additional wire to the black sensor wire. Which you then need to connect to a clean reliable grounding source in the engine bay.
@@GlowShift ok thank you. I don’t remember seeing anything like that in the box but i figured that was the problem. The temp sender on my gauge is a single wire sender unlike what is shown in this video. I’ll double check what ive got, thank you
