Thank you. I have had this bike for 5 years and never learned the PIN. My FOB adore on me at work, at 0300 last night. I pulled the battery, reinserted it and the bike started. But now I have changed my PIN and hopefully never have this issue again. 👍🏽

If it doesn't work. The way it worked on my 2008 roadking classic was have keyfob on person. Sit on bike. Turn run switch off. Cycle ignition switch 3 times (off, ign, off, ign, off, ign). Tap left turn Signal 3 times. Tap right 1 time. Bam! It shows! I had to figure this out myself! Thanks for the video it put me in the right direction

I overheard this same story from the dealership yesterday. Ironically, I went out to go for a ride last night and my FOB battery was dead, so bike asked for PIN, which I didn't know ( until now, LOL ) Thanks for the tutorial....
Is there any switch sequence I can use to get in to my system? I have a 2012 Road King (FLHP, Police version) and no fob, just the tank mounted switch.
Today, we were in Reno for a bike rally 230 miles from home and one of our riders lost his fob and key. Got dropped as we were pulling out of the hotel parking lot and he didn't discover it until we had ridden 15 miles to a gas fill-up. We attempted to locate the pin including calling the prior owner. No dice. Eventually, Two riders went back to the hotel and found the fob and key, the former of which was in several pieces having been run over by a car. One of riders took the inside of the fob with the computer chip and inserted the lithium battery in an attempt to see if it would work. The rider turned on his ignition and voila, the fob despite extensive damage was communicating which allowed the bike to be started. We all committed to setting up and knowing our pin when we returned. Set mine up using your video. Easy peazy! Thanks.

Thankyou. My fob hasnt been connecting when i leave work when its cold or raining. But will connect eventually after i turn the key on and off multiple times then wont do it at all till the next night after work. Thankyou. Very helpful

Thank you, I got myself a new Road King with only one fob this is a very important thing to do. They use to issue 2, so when I turned in my bike for trade they got one back. Harley getting cheap on us! lol, thanks again.
It would be nice, if you mentioned, you have to have a working key fob present to do this. Just throwing it in the cup holder doesn't exactly indicate that.
Wow!! This saved me today. I have a key lock for fuel cap. Filled up today and took off. Drove about 20 miles to store. Bike won’t start. Check my pockets for fob… nothing. I call gas station tosee if anyone found and turned it in. They did. Pulled out phone and youtube. Called dealer. Gave me my code. Started bike up.
Thanks guys, Do you have a video tutorial on why the Trip A and Trip B odometers don't display the correct real time miles ridden after being reset to zero? While riding, both of my A&B Trip odometers jumped from 27 mi to over 9000 mi instantly.

Hey Fred how about when the fob is broken and smashed when I the fob fell out of my pocket and vehicles tires ran over it. The previous owner had pass away and I didn't get the 5 pin # and when my fob was working I didn't know or check what was the current 5 pin. You can't. If you could, criminals would be using the method to steal bikes at will. You have to get your bike to a dealer so they can program a new FOB to your bike.

My 2018 Harley Softail deluxe is tipped over (hate the “jiffy” kickstand). Most of the turn signal lights are flashing non-stop. I unlocked my front wheel and took the fob out of ignition. Next, I followed directions in user manual (quite different from your specific instructions (great video by the way!). When the display shows, “Enter Pin” should I press the Left directional first? Once or twice? Your guidance would be appreciated. Irene
Press the Left Turn Signal the number of times for the first digit on your known PIN, then press the Right TS once, then the LTS a number of times for the 2nd digit in your PIN and so on...

No, you'd have to put it in each time you wanted to start it without the fob.

Mine is a 2019 Street Bob and I don't get the current pin displayed. "-0---" is all I see. Last 5 of VIN doesn't work either.

If you bought bike from a person not dealer and he forgot the number can I still see the number and change it?
What about for my sportster that doesn’t have an ignition switch, it just has an on/off switch so this method won’t work to find out my pin
