    The Spa area is also our trick to a little get away without actually leaving the resort. Our tip to you is if you are looking for something to do late night, and would like a a little more authentic experience, visit Alfreds or Bourbon Beach. Both are bars with live reggae music. Someone at the resort will be able to let you know the best nights to go. The resort will also make arrangements for a driver to drop you off and pick you up. If you are looking for something near the cliffs but not Ricks, try 3 Dives for delicious Jamaican food and beautiful views.
    It’s always hard for us to justify leaving the resort but these things are worth the excursion and close by. Congrats!

    I know you did this 3 years ago lol but can you speak on the fishing excursion you went on? was it worth it? did you catch anything? How much was it? how long was it?

      Hello, yes! I believe it was around $300 and we did the half day trip which was 4 hours. They picked us up at the resort and brought us out to where we went onto the boat from. My husband and I and another couple from the resort were on our excursion. We caught around 6 fish total - the biggest being a Wahoo which was pretty cool & worth a decent amount of money (we didn't know, so we gave it to the captain). What I didn't like was that there weren't great places to sit or even stand without being on top of someone. We weren't catching for most of the time so it would have been nice to relax between bites but my husband and I sat on a cooler, the other couple sat on the 1 chair and the other wife ended up sleeping inside of the boat.
      I'm glad we went overall but I don't think we'd do it again through them unless they had a shorter option or more places to sit. We went on Stanley's Fishing Tour.

    Just wanted to say thank you for all your tips; my fiancé and I have just booked our honeymoon at CSA for this November. It will be our first trip to Jamaica and first all-inclusive experience. Your video helped us to decide that this is the place to go. We're travelling a week after we get married so are really looking forward to the free massages! Congrats on your marriage and thanks again from London, UK!

    We're planning a trip to Jamaica and looking at Couples Swept Away. We (I 🤣) really want to do a beach horseback ride while we're there. Is that something the resort will help us schedule or should we find a place and book it before we go? Thanks for this video, it's super helpful! This year is our 10th anniversary and we never went on a honeymoon or any vacation at all (other than family camping trips with our kids) since we've been married! 😳

      How exciting that you are finally getting that much needed vacay together! You will LOVE Couples Swept Away if you choose to go there! I can't specifically remember if horseback riding on the beach was one of the options for excursions that Couples helped book. However, if it is, you will be able to sit down with a Couples Rep the day of or day after you arrive and they will help you book!

    This may be a silly question, but on the website when you are booking your room and whatnot they have all of the little add ons at the bottom. Such as night snorkeling and ricks cafe and all that. I was a little confused because I wasn’t sure how many activities or add ons you can book for one day? Or if they only do certain activities on certain days or if you can just book those things when you get there. If you know what I’m talking about I’d like to know how to go about that lol

    • @juliacobb9266
      @juliacobb9266  4 роки тому +1

      Sorry for the late reply! We didn't book any of this in advance, you are able to book it onsite at the resort. You are able to do multiple excursions per day but some are only offered on certain days!!

    Also - how long did it take you to get through customs? I'm looking at doing the Club MoBay at the airport. Did you guys do that? They fast track you through customs.

    • @juliacobb9266
      @juliacobb9266  3 роки тому

      We didn't do Club MoBay and we were through customs within 20 minutes max and were able to go right to the Couples lounge where they had free beer waiting! :) Once at the Couples lounge we waited about 30 minutes for our shuttle to arrive to take us to the resort. Be prepared to tip the porters who carry your luggage though! We didn't expect that ahead of time but they don't give you an option to carry your own luggage and then they expect a tip and make it awkward if you don't. We didn't do Club MoBay on the way back either and made it through everything quickly. Hope that helps!

    • @robertthomas7580
      @robertthomas7580 3 роки тому

      Gabrielle - My wife and I use Club Mobay all the time when we're flying home from Jamaica. It's does speed things up a little bit but it is a great place to relax, have something to eat & drink while waiting to board your flight. We highly recommend it.

    Not sure if you mentioned this but excluding the porter did you feel the need to tip? I know it has a no tipping policy, but ive read mixed review on that

    • @juliacobb9266
      @juliacobb9266  4 роки тому +1

      We did not tip anyone besides the porter. Employees can get fired for accepting tips so we personally didn't bring cash anywhere around the resort with us. However, an employee offered to drive us to Rick's so we did give him some money for the ride. Its a touchy subject with the CSA guests but we didn't feel the need to tip, especially considering that is the rule there. Hope that helps!!

      I had a friend from Jamaica, that is in the US now and told me they don’t accept tips at the none tipping resort. The jobs are considered very good in Jamaica and the employees will work their until they retire.

    Thanks for the tips Julia, they were very helpful. My wife & I are going to Couples Swept Away last week of March 2021. We can hardly wait. Couple questions: Does it cost extra to go a Catamaran trip or is it included? Do they offer different Catamaran trips or is basically the same trip. ( swim at the caves & a visit to Rick's Cafe )?

    • @jared4720
      @jared4720 3 роки тому

      Robert, When we were there it was just the one catamaran to the same spot. You stop at some caves where they let you get off and swim into them. You then got close to Ricks to watch the cliff jumpers, but did not get off the boat at that time. Sunset is amazing on the ride. The ride on the catamaran was included with your stay.
