- Una particular formación en el Show del Festival Internacional de la Canción de Viña del Mar 2008 tuvo la banda de rock norteamericana JOURNEY con el vocalista Arnel Pineda.
Efectivamente, el cantante filipino fue incorporado a la banda JOURNEY, siendo su primera presentación oficial con JOURNEY el 21 de febrero del 2008 en el Festival Internacional de la Canción de Viña del Mar en Chile con una transmisión televisiva en conjunto para 80 países y en vivo por señales locales, de cable y el afamado canal A&E. El filipino Arnel Pineda derrochó energía y logró cautivar a todo el público con su voz muy parecida a la de Steve Perry y su gran presencia escénica, rejuveneciendo a la banda y dejando en segundo plano su carácter de absoluto novato. WOW--- Powerful and incredible performance of Journey with Arnel Pineda !! Arnel Pineda sounds phenomenal considering this Concert is Arnel's first time to be the frontman of Journey in this Chile Concert !!

Perry left-great vocalist. Singers burn out their voices when they sing like Perry which is a shame. Bands that last adapt and evolve and continue to be creative. That is what Journey has done. Arnel is here. Arnel doesn't have to be Perry-he's got his own style and his energy is scary! However-all I can say is BRING BACK DEEN!
