Wow! Thank you so much! My husband died in January and I have decided I do not want to travel alone in my 2017 Simplicity. We loved it and it is a superior camper experience. But now I need to dewinterize it and sell it. Just over 20000 miles and well upgraded so someone is in for a treat!

I may have missed it but I didn’t see you run Clorox water through the pipes to the sinks. I am under the impression that those pipes may have bacteria ..is this a fallacy? Also I was instructed to open the pipes leading to the fill point for shore water. Perhaps my system is different than yours?

Hi and thank you for your question. For those that are may read your comment, you are correct. It is recommended to run a cup of bleach through your system annually as well.
After dewinterizing the system, I will fill the fresh water tank and add a cup of bleach.
I will then open all the pipes and run the bleached water through faucets. After that’s done, I will let it sit for several hours before emptying the tank.
Then, I’ll add fresh water again to flush out the bleach. Keep in mind it can take several fresh water tank fills and circulation through the pipes and faucets before the smell of bleach dissipates. I simply did not add it in as part of this video but it certainly is an important part of the process. 🙂

In my Simplicity, there is not enough power from my one AGM battery to run the microwave or the AC. In order to power these you need have more power from either the engine or being plugged in. The inverter is simply meant to convert this power so you can use these items. If you only have one AGM battery you need to be plugged in or the have the engine running to have the inverter work properly.
If you have a Zion (as an example) or anything with lithium power you should be alright to run everything without plugging in or running the engine (with the inverter on). That’s the advantage of lithium power. I only turn on my inverter if I’m using my microwave, my AC or my 110 outlets. Otherwise, my inverter is off in my Simplicity. I hope that helps.
