Don't be beer shy, let us know your top 3 desert island beers in the comments!
Ohhhhhh such a good question. Ok, mine are:
3. Ghost in the Machine by parish
2. Lagunitas IPA (been my go-to for years)
1. I'm gonna take flack for this one, but Corona. If I'm gonna be on a desert island for the rest of my life, gonna need some Coronas.
Such a good 3! Have never had the chance to try Ghost in the Machine, but what a legendary beer it is. Maybe one day we'll cross beer paths.
Tricky one, definitely a Munich Helles probably Hofbrau. Theakstons Old Peculier and would have to agree Guinness Draught 👍🍻
Can’t go wrong with a Munich Helles, or anything by Hofbrau. I’ve never had a chance to taste the old peculiar but I was considering putting a British ale on my list. I’ve grown to love Timothy Taylor’s landlord and green kings Abbott ale.
Yeah In a lot of pubs over here, steady beers.
Can you get Fuller’s over there? They’re decent too, London Brewery
@@jimbryan2271 Definitely! We did a review of the London Pride a few years back ua-cam.com/video/ejYsjPgZC-0/v-deo.html&t
I also tried the 2021 Vintage Ale in one of our Xmas epidoes: ua-cam.com/video/ZCyZTMho3r0/v-deo.html&t
tough one for 2 & 3, no brainer for 1, but here we go
#3-Rolling Rock
#2- DogFish Head American Beauty
#1- Augustiner Edelstoff
Oh wow, that’s a great list. I haven’t tried your 1 and 2, don’t get them in Canada unfortunately but I’ve heard great things about them. Especially the Augustiner.
Mine are 1 : DAB (Dortmunder), 2 : Guinness & 3 : Witches Hat Brewing Companys "Three Kord Kolsch".
Love DAB! 4 packs have always been really cheap where I am in Montreal. Definitely very highton the quality/price ratio. Awesome list!
@@BeerBrackets Definitely a reliable beer cheers! 🍻
Thanks for the suggestions. I wrote down every beer you two chose so I can hopefully try them all someday. As for the guiness draft, I've only had three sips of it in my life many years ago so I will have to try it again to see how much I like it.
I loved the theme for this episode. I'm glad you did this during the cold season for an escape to warmer weather. I struggled to pick a top three because I am too greedy and want more. I also have not tried too many types of beer yet so my choices are limited. Perhaps I would go with Pilsner Urquell, Chechvar, and choose St. Bernardus abt 12 for the cooler nights by the camp fire. If I can have two more I would pick Moosehead as my pale lager and I might choose an urbock also. It would be wise to actually pick one alcohol free beer if stranded on an island long term so that way you can drink that one like water during the day for hydration.
That is such a great point Bill, bringing a non-alcoholic beer along for this kind of situation would be a fantastic choice.
3. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
2. Guinness Draught
1. St-Ambroise Oatmeal Stout
(Cause an Irishman needs his stout.)
P.S.: You absolutely can get Modelo Negra in Montreal...I've seen it at IGAs and gas stations
Awesome list! The oatmeal stout is so fantastic.
You know what, since filming this I saw it for the first time ever at my local IGA. They started stocking it. It’s a beeracle! I’d never seen it here before.
My three?
1. Red Stripe lager (in bottles not cans.)
2. Trappistes Rochefort 10
3. Verdant Headband Pale Ale.
Three different options - One for summer slinging, one for winter sipping, and one for reminding me of Cornwall and home.
This list is amazing, love some red stripe! Gotta have the stubby bottles for sure, just adds to the whole experience.
We had a chat with Jonny from the craft beer channel last year who lives in London and he told us all about Verdant. Would love to try some of their beers. I’ll keep an eye out when I’m in the UK this summer.
Don't know, but it would be something light and refreshing, and not dark. I wouldn't like to drink dark beers in hot climate. So any German hefeweiss or lager works for me. Czechvar, Hacker Pschorr weissbier, Weltenburger Kloster Hell (or Weihenstephaner Helles). A lighter dunkel would work too, Julius Echter or Weihenstephaner dunkel.
You’ve mentioned the Hacker Pschorr Weissbier in a comment before I believe? You peaked my interest and we came really close to reviewing it a few months ago. Unfortunately we didn’t get to it before I moved and I can’t get it here where I live now. Such a shame.
We just filmed a review of the Weihenstephaner Dunkel! Such a fantastic beer.
@@BeerBrackets You did reviewed the Pauliner version and they are own Hacker Schorr, my guess is both are similar.
Lowlands’ tripel blonde, Horse & Dragon’s coffee stout, and Ballast Point’s grapefruit ipa
Now that’s a great mix of styles to have with you 👌
In a tropical climate?
1. Paulaner Hefeweizen
2. Pilsner Urquell
3. Tie: Modelo Especial or Heineken
If the desert island were not tropical, my choices would be different.
Fantastic choices!! I was heavily considering adding Urquell to mine. Can’t go wrong with the Paulaner Hefeweizen, that’s for sure.
Can my unlimited supply be in the form of kegs so I can drink enough to make a raft and sail away?
Yes. It absolutely can
As long as you drink it all,no dumping!
hi! my top 3 is
3. natty light (Just so good....)
2.Mike's Hard Blue Freeze (Blue as fuck!)
1. Mike's Hard Strawberry Lemonade (What can I say?)
Thanks for watching and for leaving a comment! We have to get to Natty Light one day for a review.
