7 Wonders of India: Sanchi Stupa

The Great Stupa is located 46 km north east of Bhopal, and 10 km from Besnagar and Vidisha in the central part of the state of Madhya Pradesh. The Sanchi Stupa is surrounded by a railing with four carved gateways facing all the four directions. There is an image of a Greek warrior guarding the gates. The gateways of Sanchi stupas contain ornamented depiction of incidents from the life of the Buddha and his previous incarnations.

A stupa is a mound of earth with a relic of the Buddha (like a tooth, some hair, a finger bone, etc.) buried inside. Worship is done by walking around the stupa and observing jatakas, or scenes from the Buddha's past lives, that are carved into the various coping stones and drum slabs.

There is no Greek Influence on this. What is this obsession with Greece. Greeks never influenced Indian mathematics, astronomy, physics. Then why will architecture be influenced by Greeks, Do you Greeks copied their designs from Egyptians ?
