15:42 there's 10 rounds in the magazine, and +1 is in the chamber. This is really cool to see games finally do this, cuz that's how you determine capacity irl. Load a full mag, rack one, remove mag and top it off, you now have one extra shot.
It’s so cool how they took the time to have Leon aim his gun closer to him when enemies get closer. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that in a game before.
Everywhere is chaos, there is spanish mumbling and curses, axes flying at my head, chainsaw reving sounds and instead of fear i feel only one thing "I am home"
The thing is, they've updated the aggressiveness of the enemies as well, so the fact that you can move while doing all this doesn't ruin the balance of the game.
Something about Leon felt sluggish and off to me. It certainly doesn't feel as smooth and fluid as RE2 and 3 remakes. In fact, based on the demo, this might have the least smoothest controls of any of the modern/re engine titles...
The TMP is accessible in the demo, the 2 wells behind the church and barn open up if u discard every item in leons inventory before entering the gates to the village. The tmp is also fully upgraded and mows down the villagers. It also is unlocked for all subsequent demo playthroughs
But the well is still sealed so you only have 50 rounds of TMP ammo unless you drop everything every time before going in, not sure if anyone drops any either, so far I've seen Ganados really just drop pesetas and resources to make bullets, I've only rarely found ammo on them once.
finally a finished triple A game, i already tried the demo, it was so good, character movement is so flexible, and leon react to the environment, reload animation good, the gun sound is perfect and realistic, the zombie splash when you shoot them, and lion kick *cheff kiss
I love how Leon has code talk for most of what he says on that cutscene where he finds Ashley's photo, and the he says ‘president’s daugter, baby eagle’ 😂 I guess game can't be perfect

As a kid I loved picadillo and the fact that it's still in the game being yelled at you by murderous villagers means I'm going to make some for my 1yr old. note: Nicaraguan picadillo is quite different then spanish picadillo.
God this game looks so good. Capcom has really been coming out swinging I love it. It's hard to imagine that Capcom not too long ago was meme'd as Crapcom for how poorly they were under utilizing their own amazing IPs. I really hope they continue to dig through their amazing library of games and continue to show us the kind of effort they've made here. We're even getting a Battle Network collection! Seriously who the hell would have thought, I was certain it was going to stop at the X or Zero collection.
Capcom has been nailing it ever since Resident Evil 7 man. They are on an absolute tear right now. Imagine going from one of the more disappointing AAA companies (around RE6) to one of the last good ones left.
Craziest part is that RE6 was a success, financially. So even though it was profitable, they heard that people did not like the series and where it was going. So they changed course and man, that RE engine seems to be working miracles for them too.
it's CapGod, also Capcom was always great even in their lowest point they were still much better than the likes of EA and Activision/Blizzard or even modern Bethesda
There's a Mad Chainsaw Mode Difficulty that only appears everyone once in a while. If you die, it ends without a checkpoint. It's only for the demo too. For reference on difficulty, there's THREE of the first house villager.
Nah I was baffled when this man said that lol crazy to think in a double edged sword kind of way if people held this standard entirely games would potentially be much more optimized due to not seeming up to par. 60fps on next gen should be the standard, even with resolution settings I was disappointed to still see 30fps being a thing at all lol
60fps looks pretty unimpressive and 'old news' when stacked against 120fps. 120fps is a 4 in 1 upgrade. reduces motion blur by half, doubles motion resolution from 300p to 600p, reduces latency down to 5ms and you get that buttery smooth realistic 120fps motion which makes it almost feel like you're looking through a window
i've been mostly gaming at 60fps since the late 80's, it's nothing new.. I'm over it. 90fps should be the default standard, with 120fps being a 'console' luxury until the Pro consoles debut, if that even happens.
What’s funny, is his first time ever experiencing 140 frames was only three years ago this month when doom eternal came out, and he couldn’t believe what he was seeing, and then he says this lol.
I love that they added the one thing that I always wanted to have in OG RE 4. Being able to suplex the regular villagers. It's such a rad move, I hated having to wait a third of the game before being able to use it.
I haven't played the RE2/3 remakes yet, but I assume this controls quite similar to them. I'm also very unused to all the secondary animation that occurs and even though the last RE I played literally was RE4 back when it originally came out, I immediately kept going back to the old run button. I'm really going to need a mod that ties run/walk to stick press and not a button, especially since the toggle run feature doesn't work exactly in the demo. I feel so clunky moving around and I was _really_ hoping for good m+kb options for PC but it very much is intended for controller play.
Looks most impressive! Took what they learned from RE2 remake and Village. Great that it isn't super easy and have a challenge. Will definitely have to look out for those bear traps. Like that you have to worry about knife damage.
Jesus…this game feels amazing, all the little improvements like being able to just smash open the crates without pulling out the knife, and parrying the chainsaw. The gore and body physics are amazing, and Dr. Salvador has a new finishing move, he literally stabs you in the back and lifts you up leather face style! It’s awesome!
I love it at 16:10 it seems like the plaga is trying to burst out of the guy's head, like they do later, but cuz it's underdeveloped it can't quite go further than snapping the guy's head off the neck. Really nice touch
I didn't notice the +1 until Max's playthrough, but it's counting the bullet left in the chamber. That is a cool detail you normally don't see in games.
15:45 - The "+1" in the ammo counter is a chambered round from the previous magazine. That will always be there if you reload before you run empty. A little dash of realism to how ammo limits work, y'know.
When I played I immediately died trying to Parry the chainsaw. It's a little harder then I thought it would be but once you get the hang of the parry it's so much fun

looks like the start to this game has the cops approach the house first, while Leon waits at the car. then you find one of their bodies and the plot moves on from there. can’t wait to play this whole thing, it’s like a dream come true!
edit: just played the demo, this game is going to be so fucking awesome. I love how quick Leon is, his speed really ups the pace of combat and makes you feel like a boss when you break ankles. I was putting moves on the ganados out there! a lil shake & bake ya dig lol.
+1 on the ammo counter means the ammo in the clip *plus one* in the chamber. so basically your total ammo capacity is the magazine count plus the one chambered round. it’s just a bit of detail for the ammo counts, and comes into play when you reload before the magazine is empty. it’s almost like a bonus round for reloading early, plus it could save your ass in a pinch lol.
@ADDY G I think was cut from demo.bht, max missed the opening cutscene
@@paulsmith9192 yup, they also did that in the original demo
Ain't no way Capcom will let the intro be paragraphs like in the demo.
When I was playing and the villager attacked Leon, I instinctively thought there was gonna be a quick time event
The knife parry feels sooooo good
My friend told me this and I think I have to agree that it's more of a block than a parry. Semantics maybe but true none the less
@@classica1fungus not really. Holding the knife is blockimg. Uses up lot more of tbe knife and startles leon
But parrying it allows leon to not use as much durability and startle the enemy for a kick!
Oh damn thanks for the info
@@Lars_Ziah_Zawkian how do you do it? You slash are the right time for parry and hold the knife for a block?

15:40 just means 1 in the chamber and you have 10 rounds in the magazine. Just a cool little detail!

When I played this demo yesterday I felt like I was transported back to a alternate reality of 2005
For real tho.
When the bell rings, they actually stop attacking you. I was very surprised by that. I am so glad that this isn't timed. I can literally play this until the 24th.
Can’t get over how much of a badass Leon sounds in this
It shows he's older and experienced now unlike in RE2 where he was a rookie and unsure of himself.
bingo
Finally get to see how the first villager broke his neck in all the trailers
Lol ya, Leon kicked the shit outta him.
That kick is just too strong
Yeah, he gave that MF the boot.

@@Shaison_ Tatsu-maki-senpu-kyaku!😂
Even Leon's idle animations are amazing. He checks himself and you can even see him ponder about his situation, and not to mention the other animations (breaking boxes, reloading weapons, etc)
The cutscene when the enemy walks past him after the bell is scary asf. I can't wait to play this in the hardest difficulty. 😂
pretty sure you have to unlock that by beating the normal difficulty first like in the original game.
Hopefullt its not like re3 with 9 different difficulties
That scene is legendary in my book
If you finish the demo, the harder mode is unlocked in the next play.
@@ayylmao9598 I do 😊
they really managed to make the first village just as stressful like the original even with the new mechanics
capcom is just smashing this i am so excited
Seriously! Every time I turned around they were already up my ass throwing stuff at me!
@@ashleycascino7903 yeah they come from all directions which makes it really stressfull but fun at the same time. I believe that this will be the best Resident Evil Remake because it seems to me that they kept things in the game everyone enjoyed in the original. They implemented some new mechanics like the knive, enhanced everything and give us more to do with some side quests and every change they made so far made sense so i am more than hyped to play this!
@@flumu7229 I think this has the potential to be the best remake, period. I don't remember another remake that managed to capture the escence of the original while adding new mechanics and challenges that fit with it so perfectly.

I love the audio in this. With headphones on, everything sounds so fucking good. The kicks sound meaty and so impactful and the guns sound powerful too. It's so good.

as a native spanish speaker I'm surprised how well Leon's VA speaks it
I'm glad Leon speaks Spanish in this. So awesome haha
@kaigen999 yeah he learned Spanish as part of his training to become an agent.
What does he say exactly? *in spanish
@@aprendendocomgames it's translated at 4:50 exactly what he says
Are you kidding me? Leon's spanish in this demo is AWFUL.
"Come on Leon!! Don't get choke by grandma!!!" I think that I will say this a lot in this remake.
They demo was fucking sick! Turned on my ps5, added on HDR mode (dark mode) and had a kickass time. I was excited, happy, overwhelmed and this is only the beginning! Hurry up and release Resident Evil 4!
just a psa be sure to turn off motion blur chromatic aberration and depth of field. for some reason the devs decided to hide this beautiful game under layers of smear
I was trying to find the combine option for the herb but I was surprised that it was replaced with craft - which shows the different combinations which you can do. Nice addition for those who were not able to experience the original game. Also, if you move the green herb and place it on top of the red herb, it will automatically combine, just like in the original
The classic control scheme works really well too. Glad you can still equip weapons from the attaché case too.
What I like about Max's gameplay is that it almost feels like his BOSS RUSH segments where he's constantly in a "worrying rush". But it isn't, since he's only playing the demo. XD
The game is surprisingly hard. Which is good for a survival horror.
I found the demo easy.
@@zombiewarrior88 Come on man, like some will find it easy, but as a general thing, games have been getting easier, this is actually a bit more difficult than usually expected with games these days, like they can really swarm you until you learn the mechanics
@@moonfrog9878 which is why I found the demo easy. We both agree that once we know the mechanics of resident evil 4 remastered, it will be easy.
If you play the walk up to the plaza like it is a survival the plaza is fairly easy. if you do like max did and try to kill every enemy and waste the knife then yes, the plaza is like professional mode even on normal mode
I played it ultra careful way and didn't die once. But I didn't get to kill chainsaw man, threw a grenade at him, then shot my 5 shotgun rounds and as he still wasn't dead, I said "fuck it" and ran, then the bell rang and it was over. So yeah I didn't die but got hit a few times, definitely harder than the original imo, harder to avoid getting hit at least. I'm very happy about that and will replay the demo a few times again to get better at it. Kinda frustrated that I didn't kill Salvador, I really thought the demo wouldn't end until I killed him, for some reason.
Where's everyone going? Bingo?
Yep, best game ever again
So happy they kept that in there!
I was surprised at how smart the AI were in the village section! I was running around in a panic and could never really get away from them and they kept putting those ladders up fast! Luckily I managed to survive long enough to trigger the cutscene 😅
I just played through this after work and that title doesn't lie. So damn cool! I can't wait till the 24th. Also holy shit is that hard mode hard
The animation work for Leon aiming his gun is absolutely beautiful
I hope the whole game is this level of quality
The firearms handling in this game is awesome! Press checks, +1's, CAR stance when enemies are close, retention reloads, and more. I was shocked at the level of detail in relation to real world mechanics. Also, the custom USP with the island barrel is absolutely sick.
Leon’s one liners are proof enough that this is going to be a great remake! Like the OG RE4 Just the right amount of horror, action and CHEESE!
i died twice by the Chainsaw mam so brutal 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I would've watched this, but the second I saw the video I HAD to play it myself. And DAMN it doesn't disappoint.
I just played the demo myself, so damn good! The village ambush killed me a few times as I was getting use to the controls, but I'm definitely gonna play it again. I want to get use to parrying as well, I didn't get a chance to do it the first playthrough. Definitely preordering this next week!
Have fun man! ;-)

i love how detail leon trigger discipline here like in outdoor and indoor or in front of enemies, and frikking love they almost put everything items in exact spot in 2005 version omg..... HERE IT IS THE LEGEND ONELINER "WHERE's EVERYONE GOING ? BINGO ?"
GOTY !
Leon changes his aim stance when he is right up close to someone. good stuff
15:42 there's 10 rounds in the magazine, and +1 is in the chamber. This is really cool to see games finally do this, cuz that's how you determine capacity irl. Load a full mag, rack one, remove mag and top it off, you now have one extra shot.
Just played the demo, and yeah.. I cannot wait to play the full game. A masterpiece awaits.
The fact that they completely ignore Leon and walk pass him when the bell goes off makes it so much more creepy
The ganados family just hanging out inside that house really got me good
It’s so cool how they took the time to have Leon aim his gun closer to him when enemies get closer. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that in a game before.
Everywhere is chaos, there is spanish mumbling and curses, axes flying at my head, chainsaw reving sounds and instead of fear i feel only one thing "I am home"
The game feels so good being able to move while shooting and reloading feels illegal in a good way
Just like Re6. Yeah, i said it. Combat-wise, re6 is the most advanced.
@@benkraze3103 eh
The thing is, they've updated the aggressiveness of the enemies as well, so the fact that you can move while doing all this doesn't ruin the balance of the game.
@@LOKITYZ what I meant by it is that I’m used to the old ways this being able to do common things feels great
Something about Leon felt sluggish and off to me.
There's an option in the settings that specifically changes his hair physics. It's so weird but cool
I love how Leon has code talk for most of what he says on that cutscene where he finds Ashley's photo, and the he says ‘president’s daugter, baby eagle’ 😂
I guess game can't be perfect
Yeah that was a nice touch
Thanks Max for showing off one of my favorite games of all time, being just as hyped for it as me, and showing off that sweet jacket enough for me to also want one. Love the energy in this vid. Shine on!

Yes!!! My favorite part is they kept the villager line of "Te voy hacer picadillo".

We're now in time where 60-80 fps is considered "not great"
Nah I was baffled when this man said that lol crazy to think in a double edged sword kind of way if people held this standard entirely games would potentially be much more optimized due to not seeming up to par.
As a console player I really appreciate 60fps to the fullest.
i've been mostly gaming at 60fps since the late 80's, it's nothing new..
This is so fun man. I can't wait to watch you play the full game as well 👏
THAT was a quick turn around.
I love that they added the one thing that I always wanted to have in OG RE 4. Being able to suplex the regular villagers. It's such a rad move, I hated having to wait a third of the game before being able to use it.
I played this for hours yesterday, can't wait for the final release
I’m new to the show, and I already love you as a person. Your reaction to his reloading lets me know this.
Man...I knew I'd be out of shape for REmake 4 but damn, I suck so hard at this demo
Don't worry, game's WAAAAAY harder than original. I just finished yesterday to prepare for this demo... Didn't work lmao
Ganados are so ferocious now.Original ones even on professional werent that deadly.
@@VulpeRenard The movement is pretty different to those remakes. Pretty refreshing.
I just finished the og this morning and played this it’s difficult
Looks most impressive! Took what they learned from RE2 remake and Village. Great that it isn't super easy and have a challenge. Will definitely have to look out for those bear traps. Like that you have to worry about knife damage.
My first ever RE game was RE2 Remake so I’m hella excited for this
Jesus…this game feels amazing, all the little improvements like being able to just smash open the crates without pulling out the knife, and parrying the chainsaw. The gore and body physics are amazing, and Dr. Salvador has a new finishing move, he literally stabs you in the back and lifts you up leather face style! It’s awesome!
The spin kick seems so satisfying
This is going to be the greatest gaming experience for all of us. I cant wait
It's all about the kids!!! Love the family interaction in this 🙋♂️ Bennie Lives On!!!!
I wish the bodily wounds stayed with Leon until the next eventual heal.
I love it at 16:10 it seems like the plaga is trying to burst out of the guy's head, like they do later, but cuz it's underdeveloped it can't quite go further than snapping the guy's head off the neck. Really nice touch
It's so funny watching Max struggle 😜
I didn't notice the +1 until Max's playthrough, but it's counting the bullet left in the chamber. That is a cool detail you normally don't see in games.
Aw max taking care of his kid mid stream is a beautiful thing
15:45 - The "+1" in the ammo counter is a chambered round from the previous magazine. That will always be there if you reload before you run empty. A little dash of realism to how ammo limits work, y'know.
When I played I immediately died trying to Parry the chainsaw. It's a little harder then I thought it would be but once you get the hang of the parry it's so much fun
He said the bingo line, best game ever
My reaction to Dr. Salvador being able to climb the ladder in the village tower was "SEROUSLY, HE CAN CLIMB UP THIS LADDER NOW!?!"
What ever you do don't go in that tower an wait 😂
Because the floor falls through and you land on your ass? Lol that happened to me
