I think it looks great both inside and out. They did imitation right, they took from the best. And having all those iconic design features in it means every time the owner walks up to it from a different angle there will be something else to admire about it. Whatever else may happen you'll never get bored of it's design.

It would be nice to see the characteristics of a car in metric units as well (somewhere in the corner of the screen with a small font will work as well). The way Chinese cars have come in the last 10 years is amazing! They genuinely seem like a good option. Hopefully the next few years will confirm reliability. Price isn’t bad too.

Saw the ORA range at the Paris motor show a few weeks back. A funny little car with bits of design from every European manufacturer. There was another manufacturer there called BYD. They have some stunners in the range.
In 10 years the batteries of these cars will have died and nobody will use these early EVs any more, because battery tech will be lightyears ahead and nobody will be able to repair a 10 year old chinese niche car.
I own the GT Ora Funky Cat for a couple of months now and I just LOVE this car. Pretty, lots of assistance, fast, great battery. Of course you can improve little things like the interface, but overall I highly recommend giving this cute kitten a place in your family. :)
Its funky cat day in the youtube motoring world! More I see of this car the more I'm impressed, the outside is maybe a little 'cute' for me but the interior is superb.
The last thing I care about is what type of USB connection is in the car. If anything, I prefer the old ones because I've already got heaps of those cables.

Was curious about this car. I live in sweden where I think it was recently released. Here it’s called the ORA 300 Pro for some reason. I found some Swedish reviews too and realized I’d already seen yours review but I have to watch yours again because you do it fun and consistent and I trust you more. I guess spec wise they’re identical apart from left hand drive here.
This car is really not bad at all. It’s cute, roomy interior, decently equipped, decent quality, has great warranty and is reasonably priced. Nothing really awful about it (such as VW’s infotainment system for instance). Boot is a bit small maybe but it is ok.

I just test drove one of these. It definitely nice and seems quality inside and I should know as I have driven Jaguars and Mercedes with full leather interiors. The quality of the full 360 degree cameras is amazing and the resolution of the screens is very crisp. The screens update very fast and this supports the word on the street that the Chinese insist on recent chipsets inside the cars they buy. They are very latest tech in China which is why this is only the second full electric car available in the UK that has face recognition in it. The look of the dashboard is nicer than the MG4 and feels better thought out and not thrown together. If you want a look at one go online and arrange a viewing or a test drive. My local Ora dealer is part of a Mercedes dealer. It does not look out of place next to Mercedes and Smart cars.
Why is anyone complaining about the lack of USB-C in cars? On the contrary, it's great to see the old-fashioned big USB-A plug. I don't have USB-C to USB-C cable, I only have the standard USB-A one, which connects to the wall charger, with the USB-C port that connects to my phone... And the big USB actually feels sturdier, like I'm not worried it's gonna fall out.
I own a Mini Cooper SE and our 48.5kg dog fits in the boot because of Minis absolute genious idea of 2 point back seats. If you need more straight up cargo space, you can put the seats in a upper position with the metal holders.
The voice recognition alone needs to be studied by all major manufacturers. All that budget and move towards button-less interiors and still same as 5 years ago

This is a weird one. From the outside it looks like one of those no-name concept electric cars made by small companies that mix and match parts from random older cars. But seeing all those tech features and really lovely interior, it's like a completely different car on the inside - definitely a funky design!
To have actually test driven it in China and Thailand, I very confident to say that it's a great in town and highway drive ( 110km/h ~) feels really good. Car felt planted . The Interior feels really premium but the visibility was by far my favorite, super easy to drive and feel the corners of the car. Don't know what the euro price will be exactly but in Thai baht converted they offered prices around 25k€.
To be honest I was excited when I heard the Ora was being released in the UK because they promised it to be the most affordable EV…then last year their marketing was leaning towards MG pricing at the cheaper end. Now they’ve released it, it’s expensive. A missed opportunity to dominate the market. Oh well, will hold onto my cash till a mini suv ev is released for 22k

I like the Ora Funky Cat and see loads of them here in China, but they are a lot cheaper here. They start at £22.000 which is a better price for this car.
The parking brake coming on automatically has been a thing on automatic trucks for a while like Scania/Volvo/DAF, it's a great to have, just press down on the brake hard and it clicks on and then press the accelerator and you set off.

Exactly. It's biggest competitor (obstacle?) will be the MG4 at a starting price of £26k....... £32k for what this car offers seems too pricey.
I like the Ora Funky Cat and see loads of them here in China, but they are a lot cheaper here. They start at £22.000 which is a better price for this car.
The parking brake coming on automatically has been a thing on automatic trucks for a while like Scania/Volvo/DAF, it's a great to have, just press down on the brake hard and it clicks on and then press the accelerator and you set off.
In Mexico it is called Ora O3, we don't get the face recognition system but we get the panoramic sunroof and electric boot lid
