Persona 3 Portable: Elizabeth superboss fight

- This video shows one of the two super boss fights in Persona 3 Portable, where you take on the assistant of the Velvet Room. Early on in the game, you perceive the assistant’s gender; if you choose female, as I did, you get Elizabeth. Choosing male turns this combatant into Theodore, but the fight is the same.
This guide follows the strategy set forth in the PlaystationTrophies.org guide for Elizabeth/Theodore, found at www.playstatio....
Some features of the fight:
1) I’m playing as the female main character, at level 99. This is necessary because at level 99, you get 999 health and 999 SP…and both are critical to surviving the fight. The MC also has her ultimate weapon and Armor of Light. The shoes you wear are largely irrelevant as long as you don’t use Shoes of Light.
2) The Persona being used is Orpheus Telos, which cannot be fused until you have maxed out all 22 social links in one playthrough. Telos’s stats are as high as I could get them during my playthrough.
3) I fused Telos to have the single-target ice move Niflheim. To do this, I raised the Persona Skadi to level 86 to learn the move. I then fused Skadi with Hariti to get Gabriel, then included Gabriel in the four-way fusion for Metatron, then included Metatron in the six-way fusion for Telos. Make sure Niflheim comes across each time.
4) I added the following moves to Telos: High Counter, Ice Boost, Ice Amp, Unshaken Will, Salvation, Mind Charge, and Spell Master. All can be obtained by raising various Personas to certain levels or as in-game quest rewards or drops. Unshaken Will defends against status effects except Poison. Salvation fully heals and removes all status effects, including Poison. High Counter gives a chance to block and counter physical attacks. These three are the most important skills to have.
5) I obtained ten (10) copies of Infinity, which in P3 Portable can be purchased at the antiques vendor in Paulownia Mall for 4 Malachites and 4 Pearls each. I also obtained one Armageddon spell, which costs 99 Malachites and 10 Rubies.
EDIT, February 27, 2024:
6) I also have a stack of Homunculus in my inventory. This is to counter the light and dark phase attacks of Mahamaon and Mamudoon, which are medium-chance instant kill attacks. If you are holding a Homunculus when one of these attacks works, the Homunculus will die instead of you.
Elizabeth’s fight follows a rigid pattern. She will cycle between Personas of fire, ice, electricity, wind, light, dark, status effects, and Megidolaon before starting over. Each time she comes around to Megidolaon, use an Infinity to make yourself invulnerable for the turn, or else you will get blown away.
The fight is relatively simple: 1) Get Elizabeth down to just over half of her health. During this fight, I tracked the damage done with a calculator. 2) Wait for Elizabeth to use a physical attack that triggers High Counter to drop her below half health. 3) Use Armageddon once High Counter drops her under half health to take out her remaining health and win the fight.
@DPS, I have a question about something and the issue i'm having is her light and dark spells she be doing and sometimes i die by it and is there a way around this by adding repel or null skills or is that not required in this fight?
I'm doing everything your doing here as steps but those light and dark spells are tricky and also I went with thunder reign spell instead of the ice spell that you have and yes i'm at level 99 and Telos is at level 99 too. I'm on the male character though but I don't think that's an issue since i'm doing this on my first playthrough so yeah I got Talos to all 99 in stats and stuff. I was gonna add magic skill up into the skill list but then i'll have to create Telos all over again so I rather not do that since it took me so much time. The only spell i'm not using is spell master so I was deciding what to put in my 8th slot so I might try that and I was using sharp student instead. I like how you broke down her HP limit by using a calculator and I was close to it but I missed it by 100 HP so she cured herself and I was upset by that. I guess i'll try again today and see if I don't die by her light and dark spells by blocking like you did and it would be a waste of time if she does and then i'll have to start over after a long battle.
The counter to the light and dark attacks is actually something I forgot to include in the original video description, so thank you for bringing it to my attention. I'm holding a stack of Homunculus during this fight, which is the counter to the instant-kill light attack Mahamaon and the instant-kill dark attack Mamudoon. If one of those attacks works, the Homunculus will take the hit and sacrifice itself instead of you.
Take as many Homunculus as you can with you into the fight, and that's how you account for the light and dark spells.
You know what after you brought up that Homunculus item I was like is that a Persona 4 item because I didn't see any in my playthrough so I went to look and I had none and that's odd because I know I got some and also I grinded alot on those floors. Well I look it up and I read the lady in the store trade those for gems so I had enough to stock up but it's so weird that I spent over 100 hours but I never got a Homunculus and that's funny to me. lol :)
Well I kept trying Elizabeth fight and I added the spell master skill and it worked good so I decided to use a calculator and counted every hit towards her and also I made sure to block like you did until she brought herself under 9999 HP so then I use Armageddon and boom she went down like a damn fly. I got excited and started cussing at her because she was driving me nuts man. I didn't even use Homunculus on her so at the time I was on the last day to beat the game so I had no choice and I got lucky in not dying by those insta-kills. Now I just need to finish the story and then i'm finally done.
I appreciate you letting me know about those Homunculus because I thought it was a Persona 4 item and I just never saw one before, duh me. I hope you do a walkthrough on the new Persona 3 Reload and that's my next game to play so it's another round in the P3 world so I shouldn't been forgetting things. :)
