With some pieces of wood, a hinge and a rubber you can create an excellent tool for your work in wood, especially in carpentry and in particular in the adjustments of doors or windows which serves perfectly to hold and work without the worry of being fall.
This tool in turn allows you to easily fit the pieces since the angle of the support is obtuse and allows the piece to be placed easily.
You will only occupy a drill, saw and a few hand tools.

Los que se dedican a la carpintería podría ser un gran invento. Todo oficio tiene ramas específicas y bien podría ser aliado de algunos trabajos a granel. Patentelo si puede o alguien más lo va a hacer sin ningún esfuerzo. Si se le ocurrió a usted es por que lo utiliza mucho. No sobreestimemos nuestra creatividad. Felicidades. 👍
De hecho hubiera Sido más efectiva para la carpintería si hubiera Sido con medidas adaptables, un par de cantos con baleros internos para hacerlo corredizo forme la medida y con un par de tornillos a tuerca de presión para seguridad, no todas las puertas serían misma medida y también sirve para más que puertas

Good observation, Pisswater. Many of us probably wouldn’t have spotted the true potential and widespread utility of this device. For myself, I’m tearing off doors at a rapid rate, now that my eyes have been opened.

Creo que antes de comenzar a mirar el proceso de elaboración del objeto en cuestión, el amigo primero debería mostrar el producto terminado y para que sirve, y luego comenzar el proceso, de tal forma que uno pueda decidir si le interesa o no ver el video. Algunos lo hacen así, y uno toma la decisión.
Sí. Como creo que nunca lo hace hay que tomar la decisión de adelantar hasta el final, porque este tipo publica muchas pelotudeces. Este dispositivo puede servirle a algunos así que vale, pero a mí no, si que me ahorré el tiempo.

@@manchitaaguilar3547 Las bisagras no abren, sólo permiten que se abra, pero a la fuerza la aportan las ligas. Es simple.
Un estupendo para de ayudantes de carpintero. Se utilizan mucho y uno puede hacer ayudantes para muchos trabajos en los cuales, a veces dos manos no bastan y tampoco se puede pagar a un operario para que ayude. Muy buena idea amigo. Te felicito por la idea.

I was gonna comment that I thought doors get mounted in DOOR JAMS...but in random floor holders is good too, I guess. Don't know how effective the door is at that point.

A mi me parece una buena idea. Quien trabaje con objetos frágiles como cristales tmb podria servir. Solo poner una superficie cómoda lugar de tablas donde contactan con la puerta al cerrar para evitar rayones.
Creo que para tí cualquier cosa va a ser MUUUCHO TRABAJO. Sigue durmiendo

No sería más razonable, poner de título Soporte para trabajar Puertas, Placas o lo que sea. Que además es distinto a los usuales para que lo vean aquellos que están buscando un soporte y no poner un título que de brillante no tiene nada y que hace que lo califique negativamente.

En eso consiste la jugada, los youtubers tienen que poner un título llamativo, de lo contrario a muchos no les interesa. Por eso entre yo, solo que adelanté todo el vídeo para ver el resultado final, y pues no está mal la idea, sobre todo cuando está uno trabajando solo, ya sea profesionalmente ó por bricolaje, en realidad no le interesa mucho enseñar a hacer este artilugio, la tirada es tener vistas, suscriptores, y en dado caso ingresos, en cambio otros, si realmente quieren enseñarte a hacer algo, entonces el título es explícito, como ahora yo en estos días, que andaba buscando tutoriales para colocar contactos y apagadores y ví algunos que me ayudaron mucho

Si el propósito es que la puerta de muestra no se raye, no pasó la prueba ya que fue arrastrada cuando la sacaron. Pero me quedó dando vuelta la utilidad de poner una puerta en estos sujetadores, salvo si es fijarla para cepillarla. Si ese es el caso, se puede hacer un sujetador sin bisagra, con dos palos y dos tablas, el resultado es el mismo. Si tienes las herramientas para perforar, bien puedes fabricar una prensa manual.

Couple pieces of 2x4 and a couple wood clamps does the same thing for me but your engineering is spot on.
If I was going to have to work on lots of doors on a job your idea would be really useful.

You have to get the plug in that SPEEDS up the VIDEOS to triple speed or MORE. Then use the SKIP 10 seconds key (L) a lot. This way we can all be disappointed with this dumb door holder ALL THAT MUCH QUICKER.

Glad I skipped to the end so I could use that time reading useless comments on a complex solution for a simple problem. I especially like the idea of “spacers” so u can work on a different thicknesses of wood 1 inch off the floor. Thats brilliant! That jig could be made as a single unit out of a couple of 2x4’s in under 5 minutes and be far stronger and more stable.

Soy carpintero de terminaciones, con 67 años y me maravilla la tecnología, usaba serrucho, taladro carpintero y chalupa de madera...hoy herramientas inalámbricas...y computador.

I have been using a version of one of those for over 40 years. A little more crude but still using the same one. I actually used it today when hanging 2 doors. Still works great.
What is it for?
My door jig is 25 years old, i made two of them. They are about 16” at the base and 24” in height. Cumbersome to carry but the weight of the door clamps them very nicely.
This one is superior to mine . Great idea.

I’ve made this exact tool b4 not so elegantly but virtually the same thing and use it a 3rd hand so to speak and you would not believe the pinching power this has..super useful if you’re a diy’er..nice job sir
Tip: put wheels on it, stand the door upright, and you can wheel the door into the door hole to close it, instead of having to use those annoying hinges.
If you put wheels on it, you’ll be chasing all around the jobsite

I've discovered that being a packrat, saving every little scrap and random piece of hardware, pays off. From time to time it leads to coming up with just the right parts to make something such as this. This is inspired!
Maybe if you’re a hobbyist. Any professional woodworker will tell you they’ll make a dozen more scraps just like it before finding a use for the first one. Every jig or fixture I make gets dated. If it hasn’t been used again in 6-12 months, it goes in the wood stove or the dumpster.

@@JeffHochberg The way it works for me is just proving the value of some random piece of material. The best example I can think of is when I used an old pallet to raise her recliner per the home nurse's request.
@@JeffHochberg To expand on previous: Art is my hobby. I am highly visual-spatial. When there is something that needs fixing or fabricating I start pawing through my various bins and boxes visualizing what can be applied to my project, and in what way.

Why? What is this doing that simply leaning the door against any solid surface with a couple scraps of cloth to protect the edges do? Even if you are a carpenter does storing and knowing where these things are all the time really make them worth the trouble? Especially considering the idiot making the video dragged the finished door edge across the concrete floor when putting it in the stands this destroying the finish.

Show us the attachment of the first triangle. I think that most of us are smart enough to figure how to attach the next three. Streamline your video. There are numerous other ways that you can do more to accomplish this.. I went to the end of the video, saw the end assembly and realized that I could figure it out from there. I’m sure that production door “stander on edgers” would find this essential. To me? It’s a solution in search of a problem I never had.

Bueno gente, hay quienes trabajamos con puertas/casas, y esto es perfecto, ni una marca ni raspadura deben tener en el manejo, al instalarle las bisagras, acá usamos cartones, pero estos soportes son mejores y no tendremos que poner los improvisados cartones

Yo solo veo el final. Si me interesa copio el enlace y lo archivo, como corresponde y cuando lo necesito, veo solo lo necesario. Por ejemplo: se supone que debe hacer perforaciones, cortar, medir etc, eso no lo veo

Ingenioso, pero en mi opinión debería ser el doble más largo, ya que lo encuentro muy inestable y peligroso a la hora de usarlo para cepillar una puerta con un cepillo de mano, esta podría ladearse y producir un accidente grave

Back in the 80s I made one much simpler by using 2 2x4s 16" high scewed onto a 1/4" plywood with the 2 wood blocks to keep it off the floor. As you put the weight of the door between the 2 2x4s the weight would alow the plywood to flex and clamp the door down.
Sounds elegantly simple and effective, and probably took you what 3 minutes to make? 👏🏼👍🏼

Love the creative design, love the functionality and the ingenuity, just one thing and that's the storage. I need to work on doors from time to time and have ben faced the same problem. What I do now is to just take a couple wood clamps and clamp a couple pieces of scrap 2x4 pieces on the bottom edge of the door where it meets the floor. Easy peezy.
