I asked awhile ago and didn't get an immediate answer, so for awhile that simply reinforced my tendency to not ask for help...I was putting in an order for a new scythe! But I'm glad they came through...and it was a good lesson for me in being both patient and also being a "squeaky wheel" when necessary. :D
I’m so thankful, along with my siblings, that our parents moved us to the farm when we were young. What we learned has carried us throughout our adults years. Always tell your parents how grateful you are to them for all the wonderful memories and teachings from them.
Both Lorajean and I grew up living in the country where we could explore and just be creative, imaginative kids. People need space to create and imagine, even if it's not in the wide open...but we sure are glad for our upbringing, and for what we get to have for our own kids. :)
Hello everyone! So good to see you all! Great idea with the pool, that will be lots of fun. So sorry Banjo, it sure does hurt, I also got bit this year by a wasp. Love the mowing idea, great call!
It’s awesome you are getting some hay up. Sometimes farmers are welling to help and sometimes they are not. It’s a bonus when they do. I’ve ran into farmers that absolutely refuse to help people with small acreage. Don’t be afraid to ask. The worst they can say is no. Sorry little Banjo, wasp stings are not fun. Glad the hot water worked well. It seems the dryer it is the worst the wasps are at least in Idaho. Thanks for sharing. Take care, see ya :)
Haha! Yep, we know what you mean. Our back neighbor refused pretty quick...too busy...I understand. (Also, he doesn't have a small baler, which makes a big difference). Usually farmers are really busy and always have their own mile-long lists! :D (Yeah, the wasps have been really bad this year!)
Thx for sharing lovely people. Great to see your excitement over your hay, sure beats the lawn mower. Good neighbours are gold. God bless from Australia 🇦🇺 😷🙋🏼♀️🌼🌷🌈
Yeah, definitely better than a lawn mower!! haha! What a relief! (How's your weather right now? We're just barely starting to see signs of it cooling off for autumn).
Keep track of how much hay you use and see if there's extra that Seth might be able to use next season (either as a bonus or trade for his hard work.) 💖🌞🌵😷
I understand stand your hesitancy to ask for help. But in this case you aren't asking for help (or a favor). You hired him to do a job for $100+. This is not a burden since he's earning $100+ and he's doing it on his schedule. And you are giving him the joy of helping you. (The gift of giving.) Always remember, people have the right to accept or refuse taking on a burden. Again, if they accept the burden, think of giving them the opportunity (gift) of giving to your family. 💖🌞🌵😷 I think about it this way... I hire the garbage man and the guy at the pump house to provide water with out hesitation, so why not hire people you know and keep the money in the community?
Oh no Banjo! I’m sorry that happened. I had a little one maybe 2 go down a slide and hornets were under the bottom. They went under the leg of his shorts and stung and stung. He was such a trooper. I felt so bad for him!
Very insightful on asking for help and giving help. So normal for loving people to jockey with.

Great way to plan ahead for winter
Definitely!
💞 so glad you got some help on that big project
Haha! Yes!!

Hi! Yeah, we're having so much fun and it's so enjoyable experiencing progress here!

Absolutely beautiful. Makes me want to leave the city and go back to my roots❤️
We're very grateful that we get to experience this with our kids. It took us years of hoping to finally get back to our roots again. :)

@@ArtandHomesteading We are just coming into Spring now Trent so beautiful time of the year. 🇦🇺🌼🐰🙋🏼♀️
You guys have the right idea! So glad you got the pool! Sorry Banjo! Darn old wasps/hornets. They’ve been bad this year for sure. Thanks for sharing!
Yeah, it's so hard to see kids get hurt...glad this time there was an easy solution.
@@ArtandHomesteading it is! I’ll remember the hot water trick!

Trades are always good! We actually did discuss that with each other. :)
@@ArtandHomesteading, fantastic! it's always better when you can share the bounty! 💖🌞🌵😷

Oh wow! Poor sweet kid. :(
Manifest and ask you are worthy and special
Thank you! God gives abundantly to those who ask (and even those who desire!)
You going to seed at all to keep it in good hay?
That's the plan! We're going to overseed it with an alfalfa/clover/pea mix. The question remains: when is best?
Hang tight, working that one.
Weiser?
Preston area
What. Is the name of the syndrome Banjo has? She is doing so well.
Just a form of dwarfism. No biggie. :)
