Great show guys👍 I have a JD story.... We hosted a pro am at St. George’s for the Canadian open. JD had burst on the scene winning the PGA. Richard Zokol has just won the week before (Canadian boy). The line up also had Craig Stadler, Bruce Lietzke, Tom Purtzer, Curtis Strange, Fred Couples and Greg Norman. JD was the crowd favourite. Hit 3 irons over the range. Hit putter 210 at the 3rd hole, middle of the green. Hit LW 155 at the 6th to 3 feet. Etc etc. The best was on 18. After a great drive he hit his approach within 15 feet. He was surrounded by people. He noticed a boy sitting by the right side bunkers. He had 2 prosthetic legs. JD walked over, picked him up and carried him to the green, surrounded by a few thousand people. JD has his demons as we all do. I know he earned a lot of respect that day. Forever his fan 🇨🇦
Yup 👍. He almost hit it in the left bunkers on #7 off the tee as well. With today’s golf ball, driver and 110 mph club head speed, I’ve never sniffed that drive .
John Daly is on of the most genuine guys I’ve ever known... this was a nice interview. The qualities of this man is often overshadowed by the legend of JD. Love him!
I was very fortunate to have seen John in his 2004 prime at Spyglss Hill on a practice round for the little-known Pebble Beach Invitational tournament. I saw him play the seventh hole at Spyglass, a 530-yard par 5. He was playing Titleist equipment in a Hippo golf bag. The irons were Titleist 690CB and his driver was the 983K. After his huge fade tee shot, he had only 175 left! He played golf with us until the ninth hole and he was so cool with all of us. We departed and, lo and behold, a few days later he won the tournament. Look it up, guys.
From a 58 year old Scotsman. John Daly always rocked. St. Andrews locals loved him I heard when I visited there especially in the pubs. Was engrossed in his 95 win. Best TV ever. Golf Legend with a great attitude and outlook. Love John Daly.
What a Legend! I feel like this should have been 2hrs longer! John def doesn't get enough credit for his wedge game! Unreal how good his hands are esp out of bunkers with his big ole bag swing.
Hell yeah Drew! Drew Stoltz is one of the purest ball striker in the history of golf, certainly the best ball striker to ever not have full status on the PGA.
Just wanna say you guys are great at this. Love the show....It's been great to have during Covid19 stuff. You both are funny but ask good questions! I enjoyed the guests as well 🤙
Like John or not but he has always been what you get. There isn’t any sugar coated pga high society bullshit. Real man. Real golfer. Real Deal! #gripitnripit
What a legend...... Always loved and rooted for JD my whole life! Wish he'd won more..... Irrespective still one of the nicest people in golf ever.... Salute JD 🍻
When Rocca made that bomb in the British Open after chunking the chip, the putt looked good for 30 feet out. He was walking it in...lol. Not only that, but by making that putt Rocca almost seemed not to care about not winning. The golfing Gods had bailed him out, he knew it, and that was enough for him. Amazing all around from many angles.
Sensational as every super-tuesday👍, may i suggest some future guests.....Alex „iron man“ cejka, Stenson as the ultimate prankster, and King Louis Osthuizen
What's even more amazing is he won a major right before the Ryder Cup in 1991 and 1995...no captains pick in either year. I don't know how he was passed on in 1995 after winning 2 majors in the previous 4 years and that years British Open...ridiculous.
bro , you need to fix the Audio .. it's really annoying when the Volume goes way up then way down between you and your guests .. I'm watching at 4;00 am local time and I don't want to keep adjusting the volume up and down when the family is asleep in the other room .. and this problem is consistent in All your Golf-Casts ! ;-))
JD rocks! Great honesty why he never made Ryder/President's Cup eventhough he should've been picked. Movie title "Business in the front, Party in the Back"
Shame no one ever told good ole boy Long John the House/ casino ,has a un avoidable, undeniable,& unequivocal unfair advantage. Even playing all seven nine or however many available seats at any 21 table , house wins! Might have a lucky evening, might grant u two. Guess what, your afforded win streak was a calculated gift ! They understand how much to give in order to receive maximum"donation" . John such a good guy, shame his so called friends NEVER included a real one who would have told him the truth instead of yes to everything an anything John an his compulsive personality desired!! So happy for Big John an the relationship he's been blessed with his son !! He seems to be genuinely, & unselfishly investing in it. Sure seems to bring him an organic happiness that a long time fan like myself can see?? The big guy an his loved ones will be in my daily dedication an prayers. Lord please join st Michel the arc Angel to defend big John against the wickedness an snares of the devil an those whom roam this earth looking for the ruining of souls!! AMEN!!!!
That was one of the best demonstrations of pure get after it. The look on JD's face when Rocca made that bomb was like. "Mfckr! No way he's taken this from me"
Not at all. You are so wrong. John Daly was and still is popular with the British public, and the R&A recognise and applauds skill in all its forms - especially if it entices more people to the game. My only regret is the green wind-cheater top he chose to wear on the last day that looked like something out of Mothercare 🤨
The reason Daly wasn't invited to any Ryder Cup Teams is the same reason Trump wasn't invited to join NY Manhattan social society. Just think about it.
John seriously you were a huge embarrassment to the pga in that time period, drunk, beating your wives, gambling,Public outbursts, dropped by sponsors(Wilson). And you think you should have been on a ryder cup, when, in between blackouts...
You suck The interviewers were saying how great he was/is not only as a golfer but a person. I have simply aired what I think. I’m not questioning him as a good golfer. However a legend of golf that’s a bit to far. There are quite a few who would feature before him. I say disgrace as people who are are playing sport at the level he did have a certain responsibility. He wouldn’t be on my list of golfers who I would want my sons to aspire to.
@@paulwilson774 Celebrities get away with about anything in this country... If you and I did half the stuff that John did we certainly wouldn't have a career or be playing music with country stars. Nothing against John personally, I can relate to your opinion though.

Before Tiger and before I was into golf, the only two players that I would tune into, Couples and Daly.
What a Legend! I feel like this should have been 2hrs longer! John def doesn't get enough credit for his wedge game! Unreal how good his hands are esp out of bunkers with his big ole bag swing.
The first thing I think about when you mention John Daly is someone I'd love to play golf with... 🏌️♂️
Bryson DeChambeau is the John Daly of the modern era.
Dude can hit a mf’kin ball.
Hell yeah Drew! Drew Stoltz is one of the purest ball striker in the history of golf, certainly the best ball striker to ever not have full status on the PGA.
John Daley just makes me happy. He is like a buddy that I never met. Get him back in person please.
So crazy that JD wasn't on multiple Ryder Cup and President's Cup teams. Such BS. They better put him in the Hall of Fame.
Joe Smith JD would have gotten the US suspended and/or disqualified if he had played in any of those Ryder cups. Fact!
Not only would his playing have helped, but his energy and vibe would have been so good for our squad. Bullshit on them
JD is a GOAT.
He's basically the American Happy Barnrat... high praise indeed
You know what goat stands for yeah? 😄
@@swardmusic I would put in a vote for him as the GOAT for combination of player and personality.
I've been on a John Daly rabbit hole for about 6 hours now.

I've met John's college coach Bill Woodley through 2 different golf courses in south Texas. Heard some awesome stories about John
keep this show going and have him on once a year

The green Reebok shirt is still really cool.
the only major winner that was never chosen to play in a Ryder Cup, shame on you America.....

could not imagine answering the same questions for 30 years
91 PGA, 95 British, Relationship with Tiger and his partying/suspensions. That's the only questions gets. Must get so annoying.

Kevin James would be a good one to play Daly in a movie.
Could a JD movie look like a cross between Caddyshack and Tin Cup...
What was the name of his golf course in Arkansas
It's called The Lions Den in Dardanelle, AR.
Word !
Woody Harrelson could do it
The reason Daly wasn't invited to any Ryder Cup Teams is the same reason Trump wasn't invited to join NY Manhattan social society. Just think about it.
JD in 2024!
JD!!! Those fools shoulda picked him for the Ryder Cup. It was due to a bunch of prima donnas on the team who were jealous of Daly's fanfare.
Why would he be promoting cigarettes and booz during these scary times. Shameful. No wonder he’s not in the hall of fame. Bad influence.
Only a pathetic pussy dbag would make a comment like that. Congrats
Like to have a beer with jd
The Golf HOF is arrogant but guessing not stupid. Putting JD in would be a big fan draw and therefore worth it, no?

Too bad I can't stand the smell of popcorn
the sensitive people in this world can go to hell. Love you John !!
Wow what a statement 😩
Lol...I’d much prefer to take health advice from John Daly than self professed health expert Bill Gates.
You have no idea how badly I hope you typed that on a Microsoft product....
Britishly open thaigs
I'll laugh when it gets him and Trump. Fuck them.
