Thanks for the great explanation of why a bone spur forms in the first place!

Oh wow that was super helpful! Thanks! I just found out I have an inferior acromial spur, and also calcific tendinosis, rotator cuff impingement and some other stuff I don’t understand yet. All this came to be from a thyroidectomy I had 2 years ago; they removed some tissue in my chest and it effected my range of motion and has just been causing me endless pain…

Thanks for the explanation. A number of years back I consulted regarding a problem with my right shoulder and the Ortho told me there wasn’t much he could do so, I pretty much wrote it off. Now at seventy three both shoulders pain so much at night I rarely get a good night’s sleep. My original injury was a result of a long throw from right field that pained me from that day forward. Wish I knew then what you’ve enlightened me on now. Thanks again!

error after dark, Derrick Rose has called a lot of attention to Bone Spurs. The important take away is that they are a symptom of instability, and the instability can be fixed without surgery using your own platelets and stem cells.

What if my bone spur occurred due to pincer FAI? I'm having PT now but the pain is really bad. I never had such pain in my left groin before until I began training for bodybuilding in Aug 2021. It manifested this year in June 2022. I had MRI with contrast, X ray, and ultrasound. No labrum tear thankfully but there's a bone spur growing on my femur anterior head-neck junction. I looked at an old CT from 2010 with my doctor and you can see it on there too. So I've had it even when I was less active... I wasn't a lifter back then. They think it happened because of my FAI. I just feel hopeless because I can't even go one PT session without being in pain for days. I'm only 33 years old! It's ridiculous to have such hip pain at my age. My doc said it's useless for me to have surgery. But if I'm in pain every single day, what am I supposed to do? OTC Painkillers don't always help. I've been rubbing arthritis cream on my inner thigh daily and it's been almost a week since my PT session. Ugh. I even feel pain on days like today when I did a back and shoulder workout... Just engaging my core causes pain in my left groin. The spur must be hitting a nerve or tendon near my lower abdominal muscle group?! 😭😢

I'm currently suffering from a bone spur in my hand. My hand is experiencing tingling, pain, numbness, and loss of sensation because of it. Everyday I am in enough pain to where it makes doing my job painfully difficult. It's not getting better either, objects that I used to be able to grip well are now being dropped. I wear a brace but sometimes it makes the pain worse, i really don't know what to do. i'm tired of taking medication.

How common is it for someone with bone spurs to have an extra bone in the foot (I have one on my inner feet on both sides) and can having vertigo(severe) lead to bone spurs?

But what if the bone spur is hurting your Achilles’ tendon? Is surgery the right way to go just to prevent tearing it?
