-Your wand is basically part of your identity, its like giving a limb to be used. Voldemort took Lucius's as continual punishment for failure to get the prophecy
- You are correct about one thing, Mundungus was Snape's source of information but he didnt know it lol Snape placed the idea of the seven potters moving on that day into his head (which they then made him do so he was 'coarsed') so that he had the correct information to give to Voldemort.
-In the books, there is definitely more ginny-harry relationship, but he is still really close to Luna and Hermione to the point you think he would work with any
-fun fact: in the first movie Hermione looks at the great hall and says "its enchanted to look like the night sky, I read about it in a History of Hogwarts" that book was written by Bathilda Bagshot and you know her name by this point if you're reading
-They completely gloss over this in the movies, but Dumbledore's backstory is given in a lot more detail from different sources throughout this book. His sister was seen doing magic by three muggle boys, those boys taunted her and she fought against having magic, never to use it again. It built up and it would blast out of her, so their dad killed the boys who caused it and when he got sent to Azkaban, his wife and three kids moved to Godric's Hollow (Named after being the home to Godric Griffindor) to start a-new, but keeping the sister a secret from everyone bc she was dangerous. Albus was supposed to go on a world tour with Elphias Doge when his mom was killed by an outburst so he bitterly stayed back to care for his sister. He met up with Grindelwald and the two of them were determined to find the deathly hallows together and rule the world "for the greater good" and they were gonna go adventure, but albus got in a fist fight with his brother and broke his nose/a duel with grindelwald and his brother where his sister got hit in the crossfire and died. Grindlewald went off to become the darkest wizard of the time.. This happened when he was a young wizard so the muggles in the paper were just killed by death eaters.
- You cant return a memory that was obliviated... but Hermione does not use that on her parents, she plants false identities and a desire to move to australia into her parents head to keep them safe and not used as leverage. She finds them after and restores their memories
- The Potters were a very wealthy, pureblood family. The Blacks were a very wealthy, pureblood family, just both with different values. Harry is the sole heir to the Potter fortune and Sirius is the sole heir to the Black fortune.... until Sirius dies and leaves Harry everything, including the house and house elf, so Harry becomes the heir to both fortunes. He has to keep Kreatcher because he knows too much information and would tell the other living Blacks: Narcissa Malfoy and Bellatrix Lestrange
- Umbridge had no idea it was a horcrux or that it was Slytherin's. She was a self loathing halfblood who claimed she was from an ancient pureblood family, Selwin.. so she was passing it off as a Selwin heirloom
-they conveniently leave out the mirror gift in Order of the phoenix to switch out the photo of the original order and never explain it. Harry is always mad at himself for not using the mirror to check to see if Sirius went to the ministry before going.
-The sword had to be taken in an act of courage to remain with Harry... otherwise it could just disappear since it had not been provided for a worthy griffindor
-The cloak of invisibility was gifted to him by Dumbledore with a note saying "your father left this in my possession before he died..." so it was given down by his dad. The grave at the cemetery with the symbol on it is harry's direct ancestor and it has been handed down like the story mentions. Unlike commercial invisibility cloaks, Harry has the Hallow cloak that makes the person completely invisible and can not be uncovered by the use of magic.
-The stone can be used whenever, but it shouldnt be used to bring the dead back to where they don't belong because they will be in torment... but it can be used for other purposes. And that was handed down another bloodline as a family heirloom. Only the wand was passed around randomly based on whomever bested the previous owner
-the death eaters come quickly because the word Voldemort is taboo'd and will alert the death eaters if someone was brave enough to utter the word. That's why everyone uses "you know who" and "he who shall not be named" and only people in the Order of the Phoenix use the name.
-in the book, pettigrew goes to grab harry and is reminded that Harry spared his life in the shrieking shack and shows a moment of mercy. Voldemort told him to never betray him when he gave him the silver hand and it was bewitched to strangle pettigrew to death

and the books are always better, but this one I remember seeing the midnight release and thinking that it was one of the closest to the books (acknowledging that some differences were necessary because of random shit added or removed in previous movies)
