The garden looks so pretty omgg and that little sprint to get the spot on the bench between the big leaves 🤣🤣 is there a backstory to the family that lived there? Did they plant the garden? Also your silent scream upon seeing the mango chutney haha so funny 🤣🤣 this vlog was so fun to watch!! 🤗
There's a bit of information about the owners at the beginning of the vlog when we enter the first room... but researching further on google it says Margaret Nettlefold designed the garden (the wife) but the last owner being John MacDonald Nicolson worked on the garden adding small alpine features around the garden etc. Then after his death he passed it onto the University of Birmingham and the students use it for conservation but it's also opened to public but you have to buy ticket for entry. We just got lucky around the time we hoped to meet there was a day they were opening it for free to public 🤗
It was such a fun day, I had such an amazing time 💚 I'm so happy you liked everything, hopefully next year I'll have lots more mango and fruits to make more things, also I totally forgot to bring my Dad some mango chutney lol 😅 I do have a jar left in Thailand though and he'll be visiting in a month so he hopefully can try some then 😊
