- This riff is single handedly responsible for me transitioning my music comps from math rock, to prog metal. Still love math rock but there's just something about prog metal thats sooo sick.

Erra was the band that advanced me way further than I would've ever thought. Jumped between those guys, spiritbox, periphery, jason richardson and veil of maya, they all are beasts in there own right and have juiced my own original stuff as well

Just got a reaper 6 in blue with a standard neck. It's getting setup in drop B (i want to learn some Polaris, Lamdmvrks, Bleed From Within, etc)! I have been playing for just over 4 years and i needed something better than my squier to start learning how to do those sort of riffs. Can't wait to get it back!

dude, almost exactly the same. i was a midwest emo / math rock guy before finding erra and now im fully converted. LOL. i will still always love playing in open tunings and remembering my roots but prog metal/core is just different man.

Dude I’ve been hooked on Erra lately, so good. Also What do you think of the fanned frets on your reaper? I’ve been throwing around the idea of either getting a 26.5 scale guitar or getting a multi scale so I have that low 27 inch
They take a little getting use to for sure! It helps the guitars intonation and tonality on the low-end. Not by a mile, but it definitely does. Also, I will say when palm muting, the diagonal bridge is clutch! Assuming you're looking to do some good o'l fashion chuggin', Id have to recommend the multi-scale!

I’m only using (aside from the master chain) is archetype nolly! I think the trick is to go heavy on the lows med and even pull back a bit on the highs. Minimal gain and dial in the presence accordingly. It is a super hard tone to replicate for sure!! I honestly had a tough time trying to figure it out until I said f**k it, close enough lol 😂
@@jnashb haa, I’ll give it a try. It’s such an epic tone. Especially on the self titled album. The rhythm tone is so rich. Have never heard anything close to its greatness. Thanks man 🤘🏼
@@DeimosPlayz Jesse said in an interview during the promos for their self titled album saying most of the guitar work was done using Neural DSP's Fortin Cali Suite, and also some Archetype Gojira.

Bad ass! How do you like the reaper 7? I have one too and the only thing I don’t love are the pickups. I can’t get them to NOT be muddy. Otherwise it’s a great guitar
I loooove the thin neck on it! Super comfortable to play, but ya man… I almost bought a new interface because the signal didn’t seem to be as clear as it should be but then I realized it was the pick ups! I might have to swap them out at some point! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
@@jnashbsame haha. Apparently the pickups are an odd size or shape so they’re kind of a pain to swap out which is a bummer. Was hoping to install a Seymour Duncan Nazgûl on the bridge but we’ll see
