Good stuff. I flush the non-clicky ones just on the bike with break cleaner till they start clicking consistently, then flood with silicone grease to replace some of what was lost, lube the visible points of motion, then wipe the whole thing down with a rag till it looks clean. Works for the pricy and dead road bike kind of shifter too.

I have exactly this deore v brake. It doesn't switch to upper great at first, but after a few minutes it starts to work. Not perfectly, but it works. One question I have is whether this brake is hydraulic. It has a small drum above the v brake. Sorry for the bad English, I speak Portuguese.
