This was such a cool idea!! I was bored a few weeks ago and ranked all of the classes I took my first year at Davis, so I'm glad I'm not the only one with the idea hahaha. I took NUT 10 in person -- literally one of my favorite classes I've taken so far!! Dr. Fetter is such a great and passionate speaker and I always looked forward to lecture. Also, I took BIS 10 online Spring 2020 -- wasn't my favorite, but it was definitely a solid class and it was pretty easy to pass the exams.
OMG thank you so much for this video! I’m a transfer student starting at Davis this fall as an NPB student and plan to minor in Community Nutrition. I’m taking NUT 10 this fall and your video and experience hyped me up sis! I’m super excited now!
OMG I missed your vids so much! i’ve rewatched your davis vlogs an unhealthy amount of times (they’re amazing btw) when you do go back to campus (idk maybe senior year) will you vlog that pls
Omg, thank you so much for this! I'm an incoming transfer student (GDB major), and although you have only taken one of the classes I will have to take this was still so informative and gave me a better idea of how classes will go in the fall! Thank you!
thank you so much for this video! as an incoming freshman your videos are super informative and entertaining. loved your video about the dining commons!
Hi Tia, do you think online courses are harder than in class ones or easier? And, do all NUT classes fun? (For example, the current topic of nutrient.) And, do you know anything about Design of Coffee, i heard it is a popular one.
It definitely depends on the class. For NUT10, I knew someone who already took the class in-person and it sounded like the same difficulty level as online. It also depends on what type of class works best for you. Online classes do require more self-motivation and organization, in my experience.
@@TiaSettanni since many classes are going to be online during fall quarter. Do you think you could make a video with tips to do better in online learning pls🙏
the passtime of caes is coming soon and I need help with choosing and registering for classes. I talked. to my advisor already, but I'm still confused about some things. One of them is that there's barely any spots for the classes I want to take like math21a, che2a, bis2a and idk if I'll even get a spot. I'm kind of confused why there's so little spots for everything.
Hi ! So they usually reserve classes for incoming freshman ! They will open more seats as time goes on for passtime 2(: but if classes end up being online i’m sure the class size will be bigger !
it really depends on what your major is and whether you're planning to go to grad school or not. people that decide to go to grad school normally take the higher math course (17ABC or 21ABCD), so you should really talk about it with your major advisor and make a 4 year plan! edit: sorry, its not just if you're planning to apply to grad school or not, it also depends on the prereqs for grad school
@@abbyabsol7 thank you for this! I'm an environmental science and management major and I do plan on going for grad school. I was wondering if having only a pre-calc background is sufficient for mat17a
I am confused, my registration time (pass 1) it’s in a week and 2 of my classes are already completely full like ALL the times have 0 open spaces. What should I do?
Hey! I heard that my friend had a similar issue but once she had her registration spaces opened up. Idk if this is right but apparently they save a few spots for people who have registration later? only 2 of her classes were full but besides that she got all the classes she wanted.
They do hold spots for first years as there are a lot of different orientation dates for incoming freshmen! If a class is completely full you’ll have to waitlist for the class and hope for the best (most ppl are able to get off of the waitlist so don’t stress about it)! If you applied for financial aid make sure to register for 12 units tho or else you won’t get any aid. We have a second pass time after the first pass time where you can go back and add classes or anything like that!
i’m sorry but daddel was a pain😭😭 i felt so bad for the people he would call out when he saw them like talking or on their phone or something like that
If you want to hear about a specific class, check out the timestamps in my description box! Thanks again for watching!! :)

yes, I have the same issue. My pass time is tmr, and all of the chem 21 classes have 0 opening what do I do?
You summed up my thoughts about ecn 100a with bushnell exactly
Truly a dumpster fire of a class
Would you recommend someone who has never done AP Calculus AB/BC in high school to take mat 16a or mat 17a in their first fall quarter?

tina if you got a high enough score on the math placement exam to qualify for mat17 then you should totally go for that class :)
omg I forgot how truly iconic daddel was
Sydney C a KING 👑
