"He's reloading fast for world war two". Ah yes i forgot how my ancestors were unable to reload more quickly due to them being in an older time period.
Some of the fastest reloads I have ever seen were with weapon platforms that were common in 1944. Revolvers, M1s, mag fed pistol carbines (the civilian version of an SMG). Really shows the lack of expertise.
They also said they’re used to having magazines but back then they had mag fed guns too so I don’t understand the difference? I mean maybe the mechanics is slightly different but it can’t be that big of a difference can it?
@@bobadom589 In most cases it's a very minor difference. The M1911 is the base for most modern pistols now and works almost exactly the same. The M1 Garand was the basis for the M14 and has the same recoil system as an AK47, but it is arranged differently for a different purpose and time. An old AK47 has the same function as a brand new AK103. Most of what changed was modularity and durability.
@@bobadom589 Nah, I'll tell you now, these two know extremely little, and, in my opinion, aren't experts and shouldn't be analyzing this. They don't know much at all. The fact they confused you about it speaks to them being unqualified. Firearms are very simple and haven't changed much since around 1900, most of the changes are minor improvements to things that already existed to make them practical for modern use, like rails, improved iron sights, foregrips, folding bipods, a better extractor claw (the part that pulls the shell out of the chamber), cheaper metal (such as stamped sheet metal like an AKM vs the milled steel Type 2 AK47, the AKM being what most people think of when they say AK47). I think the only real innovations have been the invention of various weapon categories (submachine guns, assault rifles, automatic shotguns, etc) and the recoil system of the SKS and AR15 (short stroke piston and gas expansion). Other than that, it's pretty much all quality of life type stuff or reliability tweaks.

"why don't we flamethrower" 1 - it's not a zombie apocalypse, you're killing a single person from as far as possible. 2 - they won't die instantly from fire as they will be wearing suit and helmer as opposed to bullet which can penetrate and kill instantly 3 - bullet is a lot cheaper and lighter for mobility 4 - you should be pretty far away from you squad or must be leading in front to not accidentally set them on fire them as fire can spread 5 - if shot on the flamethrower's gasoline storage compartment you can explode, that could potentially harm your squad members too.
You probably wouldn't use a flamethrower in a zombie apocalypse either to be fair. The objective with a zombie should be to sever the brain stem or put the brain out of commission as quickly as possible, and a flamethrower would not do either of those things in a timely manner.
I have to correct you on one thing. With the design of a flamethrower, in this case a M2, the canisters on their own won't explode just because you shot it. The fuel-air mixture would not ignite unless the trigger was pulled and the mixture reaches the nozzle muzzle where it was designed to ignite due to the system it had. Even if the bullet was still hot, the temperature was not significant enough to ignite it. Neither would a sudden difference in pressure, it would leak.

Some guys even deployed with their own side arms.
There aren't any. The Marine corps has just recently opened up combat jobs to women, this came after the Army opened up combat jobs to women back in 2014. Only two female Marines passed infantry training last I checked and they've never been to combat before. In short, there are no modern American female combat veterans. I should make this point however, that doesn't mean there aren't women who have taken fire and returned fire. For example, the 507th Maintenance company got ambushed in Iraq resulting in large lost of life and Americans being taken prisoner, one of those Americans being the now famous Jessica Lynch. During this ambush female soldiers fired back at the ambushing enemys and one of them was wounded in the exchange. Other than that and a handful of other situations there are no female US combat veterans.

The way these 2 are talking it makes me start to doubt if they really are Marines at all. Even Marines that are journalists would know the right facts like Flamethrowers were used in WW2 on both sides and why they aren't used anymore
@Journey 95 Yeah, they don't have the experience with this but your statement is unfair.
Samuel Knight thanks for the clarification I figured it couldn’t be something too crazy like a sword and a gun kind of tech difference

"why don't we flamethrower"
1 - it's not a zombie apocalypse, you're killing a single person from as far as possible.
2 - they won't die instantly from fire as they will be wearing suit and helmer as opposed to bullet which can penetrate and kill instantly
3 - bullet is a lot cheaper and lighter for mobility
4 - you should be pretty far away from you squad or must be leading in front to not accidentally set them on fire them as fire can spread
5 - if shot on the flamethrower's gasoline storage compartment you can explode, that could potentially harm your squad members too.
You probably wouldn't use a flamethrower in a zombie apocalypse either to be fair. The objective with a zombie should be to sever the brain stem or put the brain out of commission as quickly as possible, and a flamethrower would not do either of those things in a timely manner.
@@SushiReversed you're right I just added that because it's the most iconic weapon in almost every game

If you’re bringing in female marines to review *combat* in a game, then bring in female infantry marines. With you know, *combat* experience.

My guess is that these ladies are neither gamers nor air pilots and as such not really used to take in the relatively immense ammount of information presented on screen. If they also rely on their real life training, they are most likely focusing their looks at the parts of the screen that threats would be most likely to come from. That and they were not deployed to be in active combat situations but rather to observe information and relay that back home in a consise as possible manner. Taking that into concideration, I'd say they're doing quite decent actually.

Perhaps for a series named "Experts React" it would be a good idea for the experts to have solid expertise on what they're reacting to? Not that it's the guests' fault; I'd put it on the producers for not giving them more relevant material. Seems almost pointless to have 21st century non-history buff Marines react to a game featuring the Army over 70yrs ago.
I like the series, but this episode was a big whiff.
Yeah that's what I'm saying. It's like: oh look they use M1 Garands. We use m4s and m16 nowadays
You're right, it's not really fair to the guests, when they get something this old that they'd have to expertise in. They should just have them react to the same COD missions that the other duo did.
