Hi Rob, Lisa and family, I never watched that programme, so it was interesting to see the behind the scenes. Had you holidayed in the Charante, or knew it from some other way? Just interested as to how you decided on that region. We're between Montpellier and Perpignan, but the reason we moved here was because my missus got a transfer from the UK office of the company she works for to the head office in Montpellier. We had a clear idea of the type of house that we wanted when we moved over, but we rented for the first year and, during that time, we changed our idea completely. Arriving here and going straight into a lockdown due to COVID made us re-evaluate what was important to us. The house that we bought and live in now was one that we walked past many times during the limited outdoor time allowed during the lockdown. The house came onto the market at exactly the right time. We were the first to view it, and made an offer straight away! We'd viewed dozens of other houses, none of which caught our eye, but as soon as we walked into this one..........! 😊
Hi Rob and Lisa. You instinctively know when something feels right. Fiona and I had visited many properties on different visits, lots of research once we had decided on the locality to look in. We parked outside our property (to be) in the fading light. While standing outside, the agent opening up the shutters to allow light in, we looked at each other and without any words exchanged we knew that this was the one. We toured the inside, looked outside where there was a field of 2 acres attached with the river bordering 2 sides. We spent the evening discussing all the angles. Phoned the Agent at 8.00pm with an offer. Within 1/2 an hour the deal was made. Returned the next day for a second viewing in better light and never had any regrets. That was November 2012. Lived here permanently just under 9 years.

Yeah I would have definitely ended up choosing the house you are living in now BUT house number 2 was a very close 2nd for me! The front, the garden, and it's charm won me over. As I said after watching the programme you could just tell by the look on your face when you saw your house it was obvious to a blind man running for a bus which one you fell in love with
Is the blonde lady touring houses in her bathrobe and bedroom slippers? I kind of liked the first house that was in the middle of a big estate as you explained. You didn’t want it…must be a good reason that I don’t understand.
Look at house number 4 and the voice of it compared to the 1st house and then our videos on our channel. The blonde lady is my wife and was wearing a dress. Time for a trip to Specsavers?

You both chose well, such lovely views from the upstairs.
Thanks Jackie. We have zero regrets at our choice 👍👍

Hi Rob and Lisa, it funny how you get the "right feeling " when you enter a property that is meant to be ,sixth sense or something..
Yeah deffo John. You can tell from the looks on our faces that this was the house for us

Fantastic story Richard. Thank you for sharing. When you know, you know, and that's for sure :)
Good idea to film the properties when you where viewing.
Yeah, some estate agents don't let you film apparently
Yep, you definitely chose the best one. But they all were good.
@@Theflyingpotato Thanks so much. The fist one was too much money for the size of the house and garden. The chicken house was a close one though 👍🇫🇷
