It's fun to watch someone who is an expert work and talk about something I know almost nothing about. The details of building profiles are mostly a mystery to me.
And right there is the secret. Michael knows what he sounds like live and loud through a PA, and how he sounds using his Ultimate Ears UE-7s. So when he Profiles an amp the Profile, the EQ, etc, is designed to sound best at loud volume through a PA...a loud PA enhances the high end so you'll notice Michael's Profiles never have a harsh high end...they're always smooth.
Another cool video. Very interesting to hear about modeling and how he tweaks based on his vast knowledge and professional ears…all with practical application in mind!
I believe this amp was mine at one point. It was a gift from Hogy to Ken Fischer. It’s signed by Ken inside the chassis. Ken eventually sold it, to Hogy’s dismay If Hogy doesn’t want it back, I’d buy it back. It’s the best sounding amp I’ve ever owned
Hello. I don’t see a signature in the amp chassis, but maybe it’s in a place I can not see. The serial number is 010. Was that your amp?! I know Mike Britt said he would buy it if I ever sold it, which I do not plan to. I agree it’s the best sounding tube amp I have ever heard.
The reason for playing the same licks is to get the baseline. Of course it's boring. It's supposed to be. If anything sticks out as wonky, it's gotta be tweaked. It's much harder to fire from a rolling ship. I also loved my Mesa 90W (Celestion G12 K100 w/vented coil) in a Hughes & Kettner closed back 1x12 Thiele ported cab. I regret selling it.
Is this MBritt profiled pack available yet. This amp is amazing. Look forward to hearing these on my Kemper👍😀 thx for sharing this experience with Mr Kemper! Vr, Mike
He said at the beginning 00:48 "The cool part about all of this is all the tones that we got you can buy in the link in the description below" 🤔 Where?
@@davematthews7052 Let me first say Mr. Dave Matthews, I love your first three albums. Second, and I can not speak for Mike on this, but it was a way to monitor in the room at a comfortable volume. Being in the room with the actual 3rd Power mic’d cab was overwhelmingly loud, and harder to gauge objectively. In other words, it was like listening to the finished profile moving air at a lower volume in the “control room.” In order to profile this non-master volume amp, it had to be in its sweet spot, which was very loud. Hope I answered your question.
@@pbitautas7 Thank you sir... and you absolutely did answer my question! It makes sense to use the Kabinet to monitor a finished or prospective profile, as many of us use the Kabinet for monitor live. That being said I must say that although we share a name, I had it first and he is younger than I am and of course much richer. Lol! Thank you for a great video!
Keep an eye on Michael Britt’s profiling website (link in video description). I think he is going to profile a few more amps before he releases them all as a pack for purchase. I’m not sure when that will be.

This is so cool and awesome to see the process. Can't love it enough!
Wonderful. Like a fly on the wall. M.Britt made me love my Kemper.

I just can’t stop staring at that green LP! So cool!
Great video1 Just love hearing him talk about tone, amps, guitars, etc.
Had to pick up the pack after watching the video. These profiles are amazing. Thanks for letting Michael profile it!!!
Man, that amp sounds great! I will be buying this pack. Thanks, Mike! 🤘🏼

@@pbitautas7 now I’m not as sure. To my recollection the signature was very obvious . Either way it sounds exactly as I remember.
I agree with him 100% on those old 5150 cabs and Sheffields. I am still kicking myself for selling mine.
This was GREAT.
Nicely done!
Omg an r7 les paul! Amazing.that strat sounded killer too.
I'm sure that's my old Model 4 hanging on the wall😊

Sweet, I have zero experience with a Kemper, so this was interesting.
so.... when is this pack coming out?!
Michael Britt talked about profiling Eric Johnson’s amp. Is that amp in the BlackJack Profile Pack?

I think he is waiting to profile a few more amps before he releases them as a pack.
@@pbitautas7 👍 ok and thx for reply
These profiles are for sale now, included in the “BlackJack Pack.”
22:03 will that sound be included in the pack? this sounds like the best ever high gain distortion with that gnarly character. Love the whole vid!
Are the profiles going to be available? Sounds awesome 😎. That’s one fine amp.
Check Mike’s website around Black Friday. His website is in the video description.

Yes it’s out! It’s the M.Britt Blackjack pack
@@PlayandTradeGuitars perfect. gonna buy that pack asap. thanks!
Hi Michael. Are you using the Kemper Kabinet for referencing what your profiles sound like on that Kab? Or for any other reason?
2:16
@@pbitautas7 Yeah, I got that. But there's a Kemper Kabinet behind him and I'm wondering what Michael uses it for.
