Hey, Peter. I just wanted to pop in and say that I’ve been subscribed and watched your videos since I was 11. I’m 19 now. While watching this video, I realized when you were talking about anxiety that that’s why I love your videos so much. You’re honest and genuine and even if you do doubt yourself, we all believe in you (if I didn’t, I don’t think I would have practically grown up with you lol). You’re great, man. And to be fair, I would pay so much money to see you draw live with live music playing. That seems like a pique tranquility experience 😌
8 years of growing up with Peter! That's impressive and immense to think about....almost half your young life!! But really, I'm commenting because I think that's an eggselent marketing angle: Pique/Peak tranquility experience! @Peter Draws take note! And while I'm here - great name: "Bach to the Drawing board"
I will be 21 in a few months and I definitely have a similar sentiment to you. I’ve been watching Peter since middle school and I love and appreciate that we all get to learn and grow together
I just like listening to someone's mind wander while a timelapse of their doodles takes form -- there's just something very relaxing about it. I don't know where you're going with either the drawing or your thoughts, but it all flows... Just feels nice.
I would suggest having zoomed in screens from different angles at the event, since it can be hard to see all the intricacies of the drawing from far away. That’s what’s awesome about these videos, we get a Peter’s eye view of the work
Thanks for sharing your doubts! Hopefully by releasing them, you have let them float away. Yea, you should definitely share the next drawing concert thru a video!
i think it did help! after i say stuff like that out loud, i realize how ridiculous it is, but while it’s still bouncing around in my head, it feels more legitimate and bothers me more
Sounds cool. Would love to see "Bach to the Drawing Board" live online. I'd even buy a ticket if it doesn't cost too much. “Gödel, Escher, Bach: the Eternal Golden Braid” is a fantastic book. I urge everyone to check it out: a 1979 book by Douglas Hofstadter. By exploring common themes in the lives and works of logician Kurt Gödel, artist M. C. Escher, and composer Johann Sebastian Bach, the book expounds concepts fundamental to mathematics, symmetry, and intelligence. Through short stories, illustrations, and analysis, the book discusses how systems can acquire meaningful context despite being made of "meaningless" elements. It also discusses self-reference and formal rules, isomorphism, what it means to communicate, how knowledge can be represented and stored, the methods and limitations of symbolic representation, and even the fundamental notion of "meaning" itself.
Wow. That's really freaking amazing! I can sort of see it from your description, but now I need to add it to my list of books to read! Thanks for the tip, Joshua.
Oh man, I'm only halfway through the video - but I LOVE the cello suites, and I love watching you draw, so this sounds so good. Just a few too many thousand ks away to be an audience member. :(
I remember Winamp! It was pretty cool. So, what if (you may have already discussed this with Carl) you start out offering your performance via Patreon, each for your individual UA-cams? I don’t know, sounds like a fun thing to see and I love classical cello!
Was that biggish screens, like tv screens, and the pulsing of the music made almost like psychedelic, colorful abstract images move on the screen, to the music? If that's what you're talking about, they came out a pretty long time ago, but are cool. I'd love to see something like that with Peter and Carl doing their things!

The content free podcast is the only thing I find jarring. The other videos I’ve got used to ads popping up, just like most of the rest of UA-cam. Some channels only put them at the beginning and end but all of those channels heavily emphasise that they can only do that because of heavy patreon/member support. Except in the case of Dave Bull who seems to use it more as an advertising opportunity for his business rather than an income stream in and of itself, so I don’t think that really counts as he doesn’t need UA-cam to cover living expenses.
A suggestion I have is that you could auction off your drawings and either use the money for yourself or possibly the money that you raise through auctioning donate to an organization that either helps get access to art or music for lower income individuals or different types of minorities
This sounds really awesome, would love to come to this if I lived even remotely closely. Would be amazing to see different variations on it, like acrylic paintings, or one of your larger mural pieces

Live improvisation can be intimidating. It gets easier every time, but it will always have that excitement and possibility of disaster. I was in a band, and we would improv for the first 10 minutes of a show without having anything planned out. My guitarist would walk to the mic and say "we're gonna jam for a while", then turn to us and say "go". Those were the only instructions. No chords no tempo no time signature. After doing that for a couple years, I noticed my general anxiety was a lot more manageable. (Also, I feel like your group Bach to the drawing board would make poetry readings a lot more entertaining.)

How to win friends and influence people: When I was a teen I decided to join a youth group to try and make some friends. We were going up to a concert that was a 2 hour drive away. We all hopped into the minivan to head off. It was then that I smelled dog pooh. So I said out loud "I think someone has trod in pooh" So we all got off and begun checking our shoes. To my horror it was me that had trod in the pooh. To make it worse, my shoe had smeared it into the carpet of the van and we had no way to clean it. And so the whole way there and back all we could smell was dog pooh. 4 hours of pooh smell... and it was winter so opening windows was not really an option. Suffice it to say that was my last time with the youth group.

Wow I haven’t thought about a Winamp visualiser in a hot while but that feels like it was a weirdly large part of my life somehow..
OH! You poor thing! I'm sorry that happened to you.
First, that is a FANTASTIC idea!! I bet it was beautiful, and interesting, and a great experience for the audience. If you end up doing them virtually, I’m in, ooooorrrr if you tour to Idaho, I will be there in person!
Second, I love my 2nd gen Petter Pen!!! I’m secretly (but no so secretly) hoping you put out a 3rd, just because I want a trio. It is satisfying to see two of them sitting next to each other and I’m certain it would be even more so to have three together, don’t you think?
It’s a magic number.
very interesting ! so true... and honest. and well > great. period. > you know with spring a wonderfull setup would be in a parc, a pic-nic atmosphere you can draw, your friend can play music. and people watching can draw, eat and drink . relax in the most peacefull way. we all need that peace of mind. ;)) cheers ! and keep cruzzzzzing. keep taaaaalking, keeeeeeep AAAARRttdrawing ;)))
