Sorry you missed the Observation deck at the top of the utilitarian new Capitol building...There are rotating art exhibits up there in addition to the great view. I spent almost four years working on the 16th floor with a great view right up Apalachee Parkway...
That's my town! So of course I liked it! My hubby worked 34 years in the shadow of that "soviet era" LOL LOL building. Since my husband just retired, I'm glad he's home but I miss going to our pretty downtown for lunches and stuff. I've been practicing your "oh well" attitude and chill. I hope I can keep trying that during this covid crud. It's a good way to be. Blessings.
Dude, i love your videos. You do such a good filming and narrating these videos. My favorite is your California videos; if you head back out there, please film more! Thanks again, -Andrew
i actually found your videos when i was looking up info on my minni winni 2101 ds, mine is the same color as yours. i thought camping videos in that camper was all you show but youve been at this for a long time. great videos and i love to see you on the road sometime.
Nice video! Chuckled at "video out of sync" comment, maybe an alternate income source for ya, gov't promo video production! Did u catch the "eeriness" at 3:40 with plane flying by state capital building?
carwana It always irks me a little bit when there's lack of attention to detail, like the video being of synch, if only by a few seconds. Then again, they probably just hit play and forgot about it... and many people probably don't even notice. Thank you for watching, so glad you liked it.
I am with you on that one. The new capitol is ugly. How could any state build something like that as a capitol I will never get. The old one is nice too bad they built that ugly monstrosity behind it.
I moved to Tallahassee to attend FSU before the new capitol building was built. When the renderings for it were made public, we all thought it was a prank. The population of Florida was growing so rapidly that a much larger building was needed, and they couldn't grow horizontally there because of all the state government buildings nearby. They could have left the old capitol building in place to use as the little museum it is now, and build something low rise with a large footprint elsewhere. There was plenty of undeveloped or underdeveloped land within five or so miles at that time.
