An inside joke between one of my best friends is that we don't use Coles name (from the newest MK movie) he is simply known as NOT Takeda lol we're both pretty hyped for this release
I like the change from son to cousin as it opens up the door for the rest of the Kombat Kids to be introduced via new relations. Like maybe Cassie could be a cousin or niece with maybe Johnny and Sonya now being siblings and she married a military man named Blade and now Cassie is Cassie Blade
Let's not suggest the cousin relationship all the time. That doesn't work for everyone and mixing up the relationships is a must so it doesn't get stale
Seems like one of the DLC characters from the KP1. NRS did a great job with Takeda for sure - now I hope they do the same with Kung Jin. He deserves a second chance too IMO.

It's the same scenario with Johnny Cage & Sonya Blade where they meet due to the tournament but since there was hardly any they never meet. Sill I'm hoping to be wrong at least for if Takeda is now Kenshi's cousin instead of his son, then there's a chance for others like Cassie Cage to exist to be Johnny's cousin/sister.
One of Takedas interactions with Johnny has Johnny mentioning Jacqui by name to Takeda, saying she is a friend and she would take a liking to Takeda. That's at least something for her. But no Cassie mention yet

I thought if Kronika had never had shown up, then maybe Takeda would've inherited Sento after Kenshi diies trying to kill all Red Dragon members. Filled with rage and wanting revenge, Hanzo sees that he is going down the same path he went down after his family and clan died. Hanzo would try to help Takeda calm his rage but also help him stop the last remaining Red Dragon members. During the main story, Hanzo would get fatally injured and succumb to hus wounds. But instead of resurrecting like he did in the MKX comics, he instead passes on his Hellfire abilities to Takeda telling him to carry the legacy finally being able to rest in piece knowing he's done the most he could in his waking life. He finishes what he started by defeating the rest of the Red Dragon, but instead of killing Daegon, banishes him to the Netherrealm for eternity. Now, after losing both his father figures, he vows to carry on both their legacies as the new Grandmaster of the Shirai Ryu instilling the same teachings he was given to new young warriors. He would take up the mantle of Scorpion, dawning his bladed whips, Sento, and Scorpion's Hellfire abilities.
@ParaplegicKeanuReeves I think Takeda has enough fans that people would've been okay with it. They already killed Hanzo in MK11 anyway, so at least this way, his death has more meaning.

I love his whole design, I hope he is still or will still get to marry J. Briggs. But his style, armor, and weapons are just amazing in my opinion. I also really like Kenshi, so them being connecting is just a bonus for me.
The relationship between Kenshi and Takeda''s father and son is a bit rocky because Takeda''s mother, Suchin, was assassinated by the Black Dragon clan when Takeda was eight. Presumably that is one of the reasons why Takeda hates his father, accusing Kenshi of losing his mother, especially when Kenshi admits that he himself had been the target of an assassin and Suchin had been the victim, which presumably was a tough spot for Takeda. Probably Hanzo Hasashi was more of a father to Takeda than his biological father and the Shirai Ruy clan had become the young Takeda''s home. I don''t think it was easy for Kenshi as a father to make such a great sacrifice as to give his own son to the shelter of another clan, but Kenshi saved Takeda''s life in that way.
For anyone that doesn't know how to pronounce japanese.... a = ah, e = eh, i = ee, o = oh, u = ooo, y = ee. Now say it with me. Tah - Keh - Dah. Takeda.
Can i ask why you're so hyped for a game series that has fallen so far it just relies on microtransactions and patch updates. Have people really lowered their standards that much
To be honest I wish Hydro would've gotten the same treatment like Takeda in the previous old timeline.. But right now I'm trying to understand and use the three variations of Takeda in MKX right now cause I'm starting to get the hang of it..
Why do you and Uncaged Games still call this character "Ta-KEE-da"? It's "ta-KAY-duh." Mispronouncing this name is just lazy. The name is pronounced correctly in MKX, and all of his MK1 trailers. It's pronounced correctly on the Kombat Cast as well. It's just lazy that people continue to mispronounce this name. it's so annoying, hearing these names mispronounced over and over again, despite the correct pronunciation being publicly known, and always present. I almost have to stop the video. If you were giving a keynote speech, I'd have to stand up, and stop you. Love your videos. I've been subscribed for years. If you do read your comments, please do not take this comment the wrong way. I'm just asking you to pronounce the character's name correctly.

I thought Hanzo Hasashi was gonna be takeda. I'm confused on what they are gonna do with Hanzo's character. I feel like it wouldve made sense it if he started as takeda then swoly became the new scorpion.

This new timeline sucks. He has the exact same fighting style now, even though he wasn't trained by Scorpion this time. And now he's Kenshis cousin instead of his son for some reason. I really hope the next game retcons mk1.

I think Kung Jin is Kung Lao's cousin. Kung Lao mentioned him multiple times in different interactions of MK1.

They still exist since Mavado is canon and mentioned in dialogue.
It’s implied that the Red Dragon are the real group pulling the strings behind the Yakuza and at Evo, Takeda’s standard gear says ‘Mavado’s Enemy.’
