신작 무용극 [카운터포이즈]는 외부의 소음과 내부의 고요한 공간을 조명한다. 날것 그대로의 공감 가는 순간을 통해 "조용한 고독”과 매일 우리를 압박하는 “인간의 광란”이라는 힘 사이에서 우리가 어떻게 균형을 잡는지를 보여준다. 그리고 작품 제작 과정에서 무용수와 창작자들은 감정적 진실에 대한 신체적 형태를 찾아내어 국가, 가족, 유산, 연결성에 대한 무용수들의 생각, 그리고 감사하고 실망했던 삶의 순간들을 표현한다.

호주의 '레스트리스 댄스 씨어터'는 장애와 비장애 무용수가 함께하며 다양성, 포용성, 창의성의 울림을 주는 단체이다. '남호주대학교 connect2abilities'는 예술단체와 아티스트들이 다양한 문화와 분야를 융합, 협업, 창작할 수 있는 플랫폼 역할을 하는 학술연구 프로젝트 그룹이다.
한국의 '29동 댄스시어터'는 안무가 이선영이 이끄는 현대무용단으로, "깨어있는 의식으로 시대를 담다"를 모토로 장애 및 비장애 무용수와 함께한다. 그리고 '한국음악프로젝트'는 한국의 전통음악단으로, 디지털 기술을 음악에 접목한 새로운 음악장르를 통해 전세계에 한국문화를 알리는 단체이다.

[Counterpoise] a new dance theatre work, highlights the noise of life outside, and the quiet place within. It is a raw and compassionate moment in time, showcasing how we balance the forces of quiet loneliness and the human frenzy that press on us daily. Through the process of making Counterpoise the dancers and creatives find the physical form to emotional truths, revealing the dancers’ thoughts about country, family, heritage, and connectedness along with moments in life they are grateful for and disappointed by.
[ ARTIST ]
‘Restless Dance Theatre' from Australia brings artists with diverse minds, embedding inclusion, and creativity by dancers with and without disability. ‘University of South Australia Connect2Abilities’, is an academic research project group that serves as a facilitator for intercultural projects, producing innovative platforms for arts organisations and artists to connect. ‘29Dong Dance Theater’ from Korea is a contemporary dance theatre company led by choreographer SunYoung Lee. They strive to fulfil the motto “contain the times with an awakening consciousness,” and work with dancers with and without disability. ‘KOREAN MUSIC PROJECT' is a Korean traditional music organisation that pioneers new possibilities of modern music and contributes greatly to spreading Korean culture around the world.
