I bought a 1966, ck 530 188 Diesel Backhoe it's the first time owning this commerical pc of Equipment I've never been on one I got a great deal on it so I bought it I'm going to be using it only on the farm so I'm going to watch this video
The parking brake. Doesn't need to be set while using the backhoe part of the machine that doesn't. Even make sense if you would have to move un setting the parking brake to move if you're digging or moving pipe that would waste time!!.
I would agree with you Colton, especially because the rear wheels should be lifted slightly off the ground when digging with the backhoe and that would mean the parking brake would not be doing anything. The only reason I could see them have you setting it is so that when you lift the stabilizers to prepare to move the machine the parking brake would stop the machine from coasting if you are on a bit of a hill.
@@JimMackHeavyEquipment exactly Jim, one of our excavator operators saved a new Backhoe operator after he lifted his stabilizers without brakes on and started to coast into excavation dig , excavator stuffed his bucket in front of backhoe before it fell into hole just saving his butt.
Again, thank, you for you're video
