Just bought one yesterday in the same color!! I used to work for a Toyota dealer and will never own anything else! Thank you for showing me some features I hadn't gotten to in my owner's manual yet!!
The slots on booth sides of the rear cargo area is for a hammock style cargo net so you can put items in the hammock and place items under the hammock style net its an option they also have a cargo net you can use for groceries when this is not in use you can just fold down the cargo net and its hooks onto the front tie downs. so you have 2 cargo type nets great idea
They honestly kind of made it look more Lexus-like on the interior, love that they did that! I like the revised exterior design, as well, the skid plate gives it an aggressive look. I would consider one if I was looking to purchase a brand new compact SUV! (:
Seen ALOT of reveiws on the RAV4 yours by far was the most in depth and enjoyable too watch and yes im one of those people trying too keep the 90s alive still important too have a CD player lol.Great review.
Thank you for making this detailed video. You made my decision on whether or not to purchase this vehicle an easy one. I bought this very same car the very next day. Best decision i ever made. Once again, thank you.
I own one & my gas averages normally around 28mpg, gotten as high as 45 hgwy & as low as 22 city! Really good on gas, can only imagine what the New Hybrid gets!
12:21 oh wow look you can easily access the battery to change it out unlike the Ford Escape. I just found out the escapes have theirs recessed a bit near the firewall .... I like that under the hood of the RAV 4 everything is accessible.
oh god. I gave a jump to my coworker's Escape and it took us like 15 mins to figure out how to get access to the battery without hacking through the hood. Meanwhile the battery on my 03 Outback is right at the front of the hood and easily accessible......
I am so happy that I stumbled upon your videos!! I am in the market for a compact SUV and dread dealing with salespeople at the dealership to find out what I need to know about the vehicle. I just want an unbiased walk through of all of the features. You have provided me with EXACTLY what I need to help me make my decision. Your clear, closeup videotaping and your commentary is perfect! I love it when little features give you such joy; smooth handles in the RAV 4 or little storage pockets😉. Thank you for your help!
Would've liked if there was a remote engine start for the cold winter days in the spot for the power lift gate. I mean like seriously how hard is it really to open a trunk?
+MikesCarInfo Rav4 has only 3 transmission options: 1 is a 6-Speed Manual Transmission, the other is a 6-Speed Automatic Transmission with Manual mode, and for Rav4 Hybrid does have a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) with Manual mode.
Hi Mike my name is Mike live in Illinois had a Toyota I had a RAV4 but I'm looking for something around 2016 version how much would it be text me 81563 1 2978 text me if you can to let me know what the price would be for a 2016 of the car total RAV4
I always enjoy your review videos and once again, good job on this one. Also, I noticed that you did not mention about nav feature. Which variant has a navigation system?
I just got one last week. Still learning a lot about my new Rav 4 XLE. Does that little lighted strip that says " air bag off " .. is that just for information or can you manually turn the airbags off and on ? Also does that indicate if it is the dirver's side airbag or passenger side airbag ? Do I do anything with that or is just an indicator ?
Mike keep doing these reviews. Your doing a awesome job. I've been watching you videos for months now, your videos are always very detailed. Can you do a SE review of the RAV4?
I know this video had some value to you :) Please throw a few bucks in the tip jar to help me continue to make great content. Click here: www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=QU4BMMSE297KS
+Tom L They seem to be well placed but there is always going to be a blind spot. It doesn't seem to be that big of an issue IMO. Here is a view looking out: 27:49
Not a fan of where the power window and mirror switches are along with the lift gate release is. You have to reach around the door pull handle for the window. reach for the mirror adjustment and the power lift gate switch could be placed more central. The door pull handles could have been better placed. The cruise control is placed behind the steering wheel? The buttons on the steering wheel seem so bland. Plenty of room for the cruise control on the steering wheel as most cars today have it there. Over all button and switch locations were not well thought out in my mind. Not a fan of the "pattern" shifter.
Hi Mike. My Fiancée and I just purchased a 2016 XLE RAV4 and we got No instruction from the Dealership. This video will be required veiwing for her! Could someone let me know how to program the stations. Thanks!
I jjust bought one in "hot lava" a burnt orange type color. My auto door locks dont seem to lock after i get out of the car, i went into the settings menu to "vehicle" and it was set to a 60 second auto lock. I re-set it to 30 seconds, and it still doesnt auto lock after i get out of the car. I noticed a red flashing lock icon on the panel near the air bag indicator. Any suggestions? Thanks
Hi Mike I'm just I'm looking at a Toyota RAV4 about 6 2016 or 17 could you help me with the price and let me know what would be the best price on one thank you
explanation of the econ button, e.g. how do you get the avg mpg on a trip with lot of starts and stops.. Also what do the yellow and green bars on my 2017 fybrid rav4 mean
Strongly considering leasing this and getting rid of my 2013 Civic EX. pretty torn, I love my current car but it's terrible in the snow ( I live in western NY). I'm pretty sure I'll be trading it in but I currently love my car's interior
I like the I like the Toyota RAV4 it's very good I hope this is for p North Carolina p it's very good I like it and how much would that cost in price I'd like to know the price of the 2016 Toyota RAV4
When I placed an order about two weeks ago (in Norway, but it would make little sense for the colors to be region specific), I was told that color was no longer available for order. I could buy a display model from the previous production run, but it was lower spec so I had to pick a different color instead.
That's odd. We don't order cars to stock here, they're pretty much all built to order (mine has an August production slot, arriving here in October). Which means that if the factory still does that color, then they for some insane reason just won't do it for cars shipping here. That just doesn't make any sense. Especially for the hybrids, which AFAIK are all produced in Japan, so not a case of one factory carrying the color while another doesn't. Whatever the reason, it annoys me greatly since I _really_ wanted that color.
+greetrigh28 At 3:59 of the video I show the window sticker that lists all the features. The touchscreen is 6.1" in this vehicle but you can get the optional 8" screen in the RAV4 if needed.
1. For more than $ 27k but no auto headlights, no power adjustable seats, no led daytime running lights, no push start button. For the same money you can get a better car with most of those features. 2. Opening and closing the door feels cheap. 3. Temperature knobs and volume knobs are flimsy. 4. Ac vents make cheap plastic sound when adjusting. 5. Car makes loud noise when shifting. 6. It also makes annoying sound after braking in the back of the car. I wasted my money on this junk car. Hate this Toy Car so much. Never again I will buy A Toyota.
+mrpmj00 Apple Carplay is a software app which will be available on this vehicle soon. Since you copied and pasted this comment on so many different vehicles I can only assume that you are not interested in buying a vehicle anyway... you just want to complain.

This video was very helpful. I just bought my first car & this is it. I love my Rav 4 exL
XLE or as we say in Australia for the same trim level - GXL but over here the steering wheel is put in front of the driver and NOT the passenger
They honestly kind of made it look more Lexus-like on the interior, love that they did that! I like the revised exterior design, as well, the skid plate gives it an aggressive look. I would consider one if I was looking to purchase a brand new compact SUV! (:
Im 2016 rav4 xle owner and so far put 150000km 💪
Just bought a 2016 rav4 limited AWD 102,000.00 miles runs and looks brand new!
I just bought my Rav4 it is the XLE in the Electric Storm Blue....I love it so far.
How is the sound system in it? Does it sound good quality?

I like the review. I also like that the 2016 rav4 has a car key and a cd player. Sold! :) 🤩
Thanks, that helped a lot. Just bought a Limited last night.
+1wfc1 Awesome! I know you are going to love it!

No manual Transmission with the Rav4 period.
that's the sickest dealership paper plate
Mike, would you show the buttons for the sun roof. I’ve had my car for 2 years and I didn’t know how to open the sun roof. Thanks

Well done presentation like professional salesman .
+MORES1971 Thank you :)
mike can I ask where is the heater?
Very useful information just got an xle 2016 last Thursday.
I’ve had it in eco mode, but doesn’t seem so great on gas.
It would be a little bit better if it had push button start and smart key entry
the limited edition got that feature
Super detailed video! Thanks bro!!!

Would eco mode or sport mode be better for driving on snowy roads? Would it matter? Thanks

Lots of useful information thank you.
What's your fav Rav4 Honda Crv or Mazda Cx5 and is that the top trim? And also how come Toyota didn't out the push start button?
+Fredrick Reyes I like the RAV4 out of those options... although I do not have any experience with a CX5.
Mike, the rear side windows look really small. Is there a large blind spot? It looks like it would be hard to see when changing lanes. Thanks.
+Tom L They seem to be well placed but there is always going to be a blind spot. It doesn't seem to be that big of an issue IMO. Here is a view looking out: 27:49

Is this a 4 passengers vehicle or 5? The center seat is kind of small. Is there a seat belt for the center seat? Thanks
I love my Fav 4 XLE!!!!

Also I noticed there is an anti skid icon on that little light strip. Do I do anything with that ?
is the liftgate included with the trim, or is it an additional feature? Also, can key less entry be put on after purchase?
This might help: www.toyota.com/content/ebrochure/2016/rav4_ebrochure.pdf
See page 15
MikesCarInfo im looking for hid/led lights for the xle headlights. The low and high beams are integrated into one projector.

Subaru will be better in the snow. Or look at a SUV with more ground clearance.
Would you recommend this rav4 or new Toyota C-HR?
FWD XLE, is the Navigation optional? I'm planning this for my next car, I already have 2012 RAV4 FWD upgraded. Good Job Mike.
+Domino Cabanilla standard navigation!
Good video
Alan have a 2016 Toyota RAV4 XLE AWD
I like the I like the Toyota RAV4 it's very good I hope this is for p North Carolina p it's very good I like it and how much would that cost in price I'd like to know the price of the 2016 Toyota RAV4
How can I get this used 2016 toyota rav4 xle with a mileage of 115000miles
Sorry to disagree here, but the visibility out the back is garbage. Those blind spots are BAD.
Heel erg mooi
How much the cost right now, I'm interested to buy the unit, please pm where to buy if meet the price in my budget.....
Theyre about 20,000 used
is the Handrest adjustable?? means does it move forward
+Jacky 7 I don't think so... I would have demonstrated that in the video if it did.
+MikesCarInfo Thank you so much for the info!
+MikesCarInfo can we replace the handrest in the RAV4 with the one that is in camry so that it is more adjustable...after we purchase the car i mean.
They do not offer that blue in the XLE , I am confused.

It is my understanding that and I just checked but that blue only comes with the SE or Limited versions of the Rav4.
Besides I think you would get sick of that color very fast, looks like a color a toy would be painted.
Is it sold
can you do a video at night please ^_^
I'm from Kazakhstan, and I've bought in copart auction rav4 xle 2017. And there is no electronic rear door. Who knows, why so?
It was optional in 2017 s3.amazonaws.com/fzautomotive/dealers/59837b4009c3b.pdf
Thanks a lot!
Did I miss it or did he simply forget to say how big the touch screen is? That's kind of a big deal to me. i need at least 7" or more.
+greetrigh28 At 3:59 of the video I show the window sticker that lists all the features. The touchscreen is 6.1" in this vehicle but you can get the optional 8" screen in the RAV4 if needed.
MikesCarInfo 8", that will be me. I like the bigger screen. Thanks
Interiors make with cheap materials. It feels like toy car.

+J Stark You own a 2016 Toyota RAV4 XLE?
+MikesCarInfo yes, I purchased it at the beginning of the year.
+J Stark Oh ok... thanks for sharing your experience.
Are u doing voice over
No but I do have some b-roll in the beginning.
Great
Cool
My mom has a rav4 but not the same model.
Shame that Toyota didn't offer power or heated seats.
They did offer power and heated seats.
Why the hell is Toyota still making cars with manual driver's seat ??? 😡
I love it. Less stuff to break. It takes almost zero effort to use too. 😊
I wish it had APPLE CARPLAY. So many 2016 cars offer it so why not Toyota??? No APPLE CARPLAY, NO SALE!
+mrpmj00 Apple Carplay is a software app which will be available on this vehicle soon. Since you copied and pasted this comment on so many different vehicles I can only assume that you are not interested in buying a vehicle anyway... you just want to complain.

The second coment !!
want.
no push to start in 2016? smh
They come with push to start
Push to start comes with the Limited edition.
+Dave's Rc Corner it comes with Xle Se too..
